Chapter 17: Lei is mesmerized. Could this really be love?

"You want to learn martial techniques?" Xi's soft and pure yet sultry voice reached Lei's ears, making him fall to the ground.

He got up from the bench while vigorously nodding his head. He said, "That's right. Just a few sword techniques will do."

'Why is Miss Xi even bothering about such a matter? Is she really going to teach him something!? No! What if this bozo finds out from where we are!?' Yue's eyes widened.

She took a step forward after standing up and made herself comfortable in between Xi and Lei.

"Nope. You can't learn from Sister Xi," Yue said while stretching her left hand out while placing her right on her waist.

Hearing that, Xiao Lei squinted his eyes.

'I didn't expect it to be easy, but this direct rejection?' Xiao Lei thought to himself.

The real reason he was asking to be taught was also because of a mission.

Xi, on the other hand, was interested in something. She raised her voice and asked, "You are a student in this vast and great sect. Then why do you wish to learn anything from me?"

'Ah? Right, why does he want to learn from Miss Xi?' Yue turned towards Lei as she wondered about the matter.

However, Lei, the one with a silky smooth butter knife tongue, gave out a good answer, "Ahem, the truth is, the teachings of this sect are too boring. Xi, who was trying to focus on her meditation, couldn't help but look towards Lei, whose face had turned reddish. As if a disease, it spread to Yue, who was somewhat embarrassed hearing it directly from Lei, and then to Xi, who couldn't help but hide the redness under her veil.

Yue stuttered after hearing that, "Y-you... You... You shameless bastard! Pervert!" She almost pulled out her sandals to throw at Lei.

But Xi stopped her. Her words calm, she said, "Only a sword technique, that's it. Nothing more. That way, I too would have paid this guilty debt of trespassing the sect."

Hearing that, Yue was even more surprised. She used her sound transmission as she inquired, 'Miss Xi, are you really going to teach a sword art? To him?'

Xi's lips curled as she answered back in the same way, 'Don't worry, Little Yue. I'll teach him the Shedding Snake Sword Technique.'

'Ah... if that's the case, then fine.' Yue simply nodded her head upon hearing that.

But why? When she was so against the idea, what made her change her mind? Was something wrong with the technique?

The Shedding Snake Sword Technique was created by the founder of Azure Dragon Sword Sect. But due to some attacks on the sect in the past centuries by the Demonic Sect, this particular technique's parts had been lost. Now it only remains as an incomplete technique which has at least 100 counters against it.

Adding to that, if anyone performs it in a serious battle, just like a snake shedding its skin, the cultivator may also temporarily immobilize himself. But that didn't mean it was totally useless. The shedding itself can boost one's strength and make their bones stronger!

"Deal!" Lei smirked as he approached her, pushing Yue to the side.

'Ugh, would you look at him?' Yue was visibly fuming.

Lei, upon closing in, looked at Xi's features once again.

She had violet eyes that could be compared to gems. Her brown hair fell to her waist height, and her slim frame with an oval and defined jawline made her look extremely beautiful.

In fact, due to the semi-transparent veil, her slender neck looked even more attractive. Her matching violet clothes that fit tight around her body could make any man drooling. It was as if she was at the prime stage of her life, a ripe fruit!

Xi, who was still sitting in the meditating pose, stood up.

She unsheathed her sword while looking at Lei. With a soft voice, she said while extending her left arm, "Wield your sword."

Lei did exactly what she asked to do.

"First, I'm going to perform, so watch carefully. I'll only show it once, got it?" Lei was lost in Xi's soft voice. In his mind, the word 'Love' echoed again and again. So without actually hearing her, he simply nodded his head.

Xi, with a small smile, started the performance after she distanced herself a little, now away from Lei and the tree. It was a little wide area where moonlight bathed her as she performed the technique.

Lei's eyes opened wide. So did his mouth as he said, "Wow..."

Yue accompanied him and stood beside him. She nodded her head as she added, “Beautiful isn’t it?”

But Lei was already lost at the beautiful sight in front of him.

Xi held the sword gently in her right hand. She took one step to the right as she twirled around like a top, this time lowering her arm in such a way that the sword positioned directly at her waist level. Her long hair followed the movements, a little delayed but this made the scene even more beautiful.

Then like a swift calligraphy stroke, she pulled the sword back like a sea-wave and now pointed directly in front of her. Then as if turning a screw with the help of a screwdriver, she thrust the sword while turning her wrists.

She raised her hand from the position to make the 'O' shape and then turned around again, taking steps to form a complete circle.

Lei didn't miss even a single step, but he didn't even attempt to memorize either. Xi, while performing the technique, appeared like an angel dancing in the grace of Moonlight that lit up her face and her smooth skin. Lei couldn’t keep his eyes away from her curvy waist.

Never had Lei seen someone like Xi. He wanted to savor the moment for an eternity, unfortunately, after two minutes, the moves came to an end.

Xi, who didn't break a single sweat, levitated in the air and slowly descended with the pose of the sword being thrust forward while her left hand hanging upwards with all fingers combined, forming a knife pattern that faced forward as well.

"Alright, did you follow the movements properly?" Xi asked after breaking her stance and approaching Lei.

However, Lei was still lost in his own world. His face appearing like a fool, he was almost drooling while imagining something weird.

Yue's kick was enough of a stimulus to bring him back to reality.

Bam!

"Ou! You- what was that for!?" Lei asked as he placed both his right hand on his butt, rubbing it gently.

"It's over. Now, go perform."

"Huh...?"

"You can surely do it, right?" Xi asked with a smile that was barely visible under the veil.

"Y-yea..." Sweating profusely at the situation he put himself in, Lei stood in front of the two ladies after having thrown a hammer at his own feet.

'What the heck should I do!? What was the first stance...? No, how many stances were there!?'

"Come on, start," Yue said as she bent a bit, placing both her hands on her waist.

"Yea... I'll start..."
