Chapter 12: Fateful Encounter [1]

A weird warmth surged inside Xiao Lei. At first, he was in pain. It was as if he was thrown in lava. But then, the warmth slowly decreased and finally turned into a pleasurable one.

Xiao Lei opened his eyes. He blinked a few times for his clear vision and when he looked again, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

There was a fireplace! But beside the fireplace was a river! More than that, there was a naked woman taking a bath in the river! Talk about the jackpot.

Xiao Lei forgot about the pain he was in as it had already subsided. He didn’t even consider thinking about what had happened to him. His focus was only on the lady ahead.

Long thick purple hair that fell back till her waist, going even below and covering her plum cheeks at the back barely. Her thick thighs along which a few drops of water slid down. Adding to that, the slender arms and hands with which she held a small white cloth and was wiping herself… truly amazing!

Xiao Lei, at first thought about having her as his next target. It was a sudden though, not something that he had calculated or had in mind. But when the woman turned this side, a weird gush of hormones stimulated his entire body.

No, it didn’t feel like lust.

Her cherry-coloured pink lips, face without any imperfection, sharp jawline with beautiful violet eyes that matched her hair… she looked absolutely stunning.

Xiao Lei’s heart skipped a beat weirdly enough.

His eyes remained wide open as the girl wiped her front and then walked back to the bank, close to the fireplace where she had placed her cleanest of clothes. Noticing this, Xiao Lei, the peeping tom, closed his eyes shut, now pretending to be asleep.

After wearing her clothes, she sat down close to Xiao Lei with a sigh.

“Little Yue, you can come out now.”

Xiao Lei was enchanted by her face and body and once again, he was enchanted by her beautiful voice. It was as if he was hearing the bells of heaven ringing! What an angelic voice!

More so ever, it seemed like she called out to someone.

The sound of the bushes combined with the sound of footsteps reached Xiao Lei’s ears. But no matter the temptation, he still pretended to be asleep.

From the bushes, there came another lady, dressed a little less elegantly than Xi. She was a little shorter and had a flat chest. She wore reddish-brown garments and had two round knobs made out of her hair on her head.

Squinting her eyes, she said, “Miss Xi, you shouldn’t have done that.”

Xi was drying her hair by rubbing it with a dry cloth. She remained quiet as Yue continued, “How could you sleep with a random guy like him?”

Xiao Lei was baffled when he heard this.

‘I slept with… her?’, weirdly enough, he felt confusion and butterflies all over his stomach and body.

That was because he had no memory of such. All he could remember was this burning sensation due to which he fell to the ground.

‘No way I had sex with someone like that… did I now?’, he couldn’t believe it, but their conversation kept going and going which made it even more believable.

“What will the patriarch think, Miss Xi?”, Yue was visibly angry. Her gaze would momentarily fall on Xiao Lei. She couldn’t help but shake her head.

“Other than being a little handsome, this guy is worthless. He looks 20, yet he is still a Mortal Rank Cultivator.”, Yue shook her head and sighed again and again.

“Also Miss, you have a fiancee. Just how could you-”, Yue paused.

Xiao Lei could sense the sudden rise in tension.

“Yue, I told you not to talk about him. He is a playboy, a bastard. I went to meet him, but you know what that drunkard was doing? He was enjoying his time with that Jia.”

It was as if Xi was venting out frustration. Yue, hearing that, sighed once again as she said, “But that doesn’t mean you too will sleep with a bastard like him, Miss Xi. This guy came from the direction of Red Light District. He must also be a playboy. Miss Xi, just-”

“Little Yue, you should know two things. First, I slept with him, not because of his looks or to take revenge on my fiancee. Secondly, he was in pain. If his Yang Qi wouldn’t have been released, then he would have died. Thirdly, I couldn’t let you do the task. That is why I did it, painstakingly… I hope you understand.”

Yue became quiet after hearing that.

Xi, muttered under her breath, as she added, “Besides, he doesn’t look that bad.”

Yue, when she heard this faint whisper, raised her gaze immediately. She scanned Lei and Xi once again before saying to herself, ‘I’m sure, this is the true reason! Miss Xi is in love! All her previous reasons were a cover!’

‘Just look at how my miss is flushing. You damn monkey! How dare you steal her heart and still sleep soundly!?’, a gigantic wave of killing intent was being emitted from Yue.

While Xi was all delulu in love, real love, of course, Xiao Lei couldn’t help but tremble inwardly.

‘This Yue is going to butcher me if she knows that I’m awake.’, Xiao Lei remained immobile like a log. This would be the worst time to move.

Yue shook his head seeing her miss in such a state. She walked forward and then took the towel.

“Let me do it for you, miss.”, she then began rubbing Xi’s hair while Xi stared at Xiao Lei continuously.

The stare was like a piercing dagger. There was no way Lei wouldn’t feel that. He couldn’t pretend to be sleeping like this as it was highly uncomfortable.

So he decided to wake up and show his spectacular acting.

“Ugh…”, he opened his eyes slowly.

“W-where am I? What happened…? Who are you people!?”, he said that back to back as he noticed them, smirking inwardly at his great acting.
