BOSS

(Big Boss, Bossman, Real Jack-of-all-trade, The Boogey’s Boogey Man)

Those are the nicknames coined by VoidTech employees, particularly those fortunate enough to collaborate with the founder, often referred to simply as Boss.

Big Boss: It's straightforward—he's the brains behind VoidTech, overseeing and managing all the company's operations.

Bossman: This moniker comes from those who've had the privilege of working with Boss, especially in field operations. Described as exceptionally friendly with an abundance of charisma, Bossman has even garnered a fanatical following, prompting some employees to undergo therapy. In extreme cases, individuals so enthralled by him are subjected to Class 4 Amnestic.

Real Jack-of-all-trades: True to form, Boss excels in almost everything he undertakes, consistently delivering impeccable work.

"Honestly, Bossman could handle all CO7's tasks if he chose to. I once questioned why he created the Convocation of Seven when he's capable of managing everything without compromising internal security. The man just shrugged. Man, what a dick."

  • CO7-1

The Boogeyman's Boogeyman: Over time, VoidTech has faced threats from external and internal entities, as well as supernatural forces and unexplained anomalies beyond our understanding. VoidTech's stability can largely be attributed to Boss, who has eliminated numerous threats. Braindance extractions from these continuously reveal instant, seemingly impossible deaths, even for those hidden in bunkers with state-of-the-art defense systems.

Furthermore, the Boss’s method of execution is extreme—he leaves no loose ends. His commitment to ensure VoidTech and Earth's safety extends to the extent of being willing to commit global-scale war crimes if it guarantees a better future.

To know more about Boss, his identity and history, Convocation of Seven requested an interview with Boss, which he agreed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Administrator: Thanks for dropping in, Boss.

Boss: Guten Abend.

CO7-1: Hello, Boss.

The Administrator: As mentioned, today we will have a brief interview about you, Boss. Just some basic questions, and feel free to skip anything too sensitive.

Boss: Crystal clear.

CO7-1: Starting, you mentioned being a resident of the Dark Multiverse. Can you shed some light on what the Dark Multiverse is?

Boss: Certainly. Picture each reality as an Omniverse. There are numerous Omniverses out there. Each Omniverse contains two primary Multiverses: Norm Multiverse and Dark Multiverse.

Boss: The Norm Multiverse includes various parallel dimensions and coexisting realities. You guys are currently inhabiting the Norm Universe. I assume there's no need to delve into what the Multiverse is for you two.

CO7-1: Right, got it.

Boss: Now, concerning the Dark Multiverse, let's simplify it: imagine that every mistake you make spawns a twisted, nightmarish world. A world that shouldn't exist. The Dark Multiverse consists of these fragile, perpetually deteriorating worlds destined for destruction due to their inherently flawed nature. Essentially, it's a multiverse where everything is and will end badly. Some cases still exist where universes in the Dark Multiverse are not subject to its influence. Those universes can live for a long time, but they are scarce, and it is not sure that that universe is safe; maybe it is even more dangerous than the rest.

The Administrator: Is it possible to travel between two multiverses?

Boss: It is, but someone needs to open the path for you. Imagine two titanium cages stacked on each other, each containing a pet. How does the pet on top move to the bottom?

CO7-1: With the help of the owner?

Boss: That's one way. Unless the pet is strong enough to drill a hole from top to bottom, which I highly doubt, there's no need to worry about an invasion from the Dark Multiverse.

The Administrator: Okay then, <relieved sigh>. Now, onto the serious stuff. You mentioned to me before, in private, that you're a Blackblood. Is that your original race?

Boss: No, no. Blackblood is a bloodline, a family. My original race was Stellarborne. It's more of a term to describe our people rather than define what we are. Millennia of extensive genetic engineering and interbreeding with countless species assimilated into Stellarborne civilization mean that Stellarbornes can look like anything they want.

Boss: Additionally, regardless of their forms, most Stellarbornes have a slim physique, like me here, but our 'sleeper' build conceals a deceptively muscular solid structure and a nearly indestructible skeleton beneath our skin. I'd love to delve deeper into my people and their history, as it could provide valuable insights, but time is precious, so I'll stop here.

CO7-1: Understood. Next question: for what reason did you come to our universe despite being a citizen of the Dark Multiverse?

Boss: Well, I was dead to begin with. A war erupted between me and my lifelong rival, the Final Crisis. She sent an army of extradimensional beings, known as World Eaters, to invade my home galaxy. These beings, composed of pure energy, could siphon life, energy, and matter into themselves, transforming conquered planets into Death Worlds.

Boss: Have you ever witnessed a planet drained of life, turning from a vibrant, green world to a lifeless celestial body in shades of black, white, and gray?

<Silence>

Boss: I have devoured a planet before. Out of anger, mind you. The silence, the absence of color, the eeriness in the wind—those memories still haunt me. Imagine the World Eaters doing that to 90% of my galaxy.

<Silence>

Boss: I warned others, but in their eyes, I was a war criminal and an abomination. Only my faction could fight the World Devourer, as I was her only nemesis.

Boss: In the final phase of the war, I did two things. First, I used a Rift Generator to quantum catapult a cluster of systems, including my old home planet, to the Norm Universe. Second, which is my greatest war crime I’ve ever commited, I activated the Archotech Aether Engine, a device that grants an individual Apotheosis, or godhood, at the cost of reality itself. The engine condenses everything, even the fabric of reality, into a singularity—the user. In short, I reset the entire Dark Multiverse.

Boss: The engine was sabotaged, and my godhood was flawed. Despite all that power, I was nothing compared to her. Facing my end, I chose one last suicide run.

Boss: Over Heaven Overdrive, as I proudly named it, involved burning all my newfound power for one last fight. Sadly, I perished. She took what remained of mine and scattered it on the other side of the Outer Wall, which accidentally made me what I am today. As for why I came to your universe, this is the destination I teleport the cluster to. It's as simple as that.

CO7-1: <Whistling>

The Administrator: Well…<scratching sound> That's much to consider.

Boss: And that's about it. Any more questions?

The Administrator: You said you did die, but then you were reborn. So, what are you? Is what you are now the result of your 'enigmatic' powers?

Boss: 'Enigmatic'? Wirklich? Jeez, you guys need to read more books. The correct word would be 'memetic'.

CO7-1: 'Memetic'? As in memetic agents?

Boss: Ja, that's right. As for what I am, what to say? What to say? I'm the paradox of everything that is and will ever exist—the end of the cycle.

Boss: Hold it. I know what you're thinking about because of my power, and you both are smart-ass. Listen, what's on your mind, it's best not to think about it.

Boss: This entire reality of your world, the Omniverse, and technically every Omniverses out there, they don't like me at all. They don't like me walking on their lawn.

Boss: That explains why I chose 'Boss' as my name. Why, you may ask? Well, names have power, and words are a representation of everything that they define.

Boss: For example, there's a difference between concepts like 'death' and 'Death' or saying 'George' versus 'George Washington'. When you say 'George', you might think of a personal friend, Washington himself, George Foreman, George & Fred Weasley, or George W Bush. When you say 'George Washington', you instantly think of the man himself, cherry trees, the President, $1 bills, the Revolution, yada yada.

Boss: The current me is a walking hazard. The more people know who and what I am, the more powerful I become. This does not benefit the reality itself at all. In addition, it also can not do anything to me regardless of what happened, for I'm a league above them.

Boss: But they can effectively deal with the followers, those who know. Please keep your current thoughts to yourself and never think about them. Okay?

Boss: If you excuse me, I need to go home and help my parents with dinner. Ich wünsche Ihnen einen guten Abend! Bye!

[END OF AUDIO FILE]

After presenting the recording to the Convocation of Seven, the council decided to impose a ban on all activities or research related to Boss, requiring his presence only in the most urgent situations.

The interview raised some pressing questions regarding Boss:

  1. What are his motivations?
  2. Are there any limits to his abilities?
  3. Does he possess any weaknesses?
  4. Why did he create VoidTech, and what is its true purpose?

Despite the Convocation attempting to unravel these questions using the clues they provided, the Administrator felt frustrated and sought answers directly from Boss.

  1. Boss wants to live to enjoy life to the fullest.
  2. He mentioned that his abilities are nearly limitless but primarily centered around destruction. However, he intentionally restricts their usage because he dislikes relying on them.

'The powers I have, I have nothing to say about their convenience. However, where is the fun if you keep abusing them?'

  • Boss

Based on his personality, history, and work style, it can be deduced that Boss aligns with True Neutral.

Boss is solely concerned with his well-being and that of the group or organization supporting him. He may exhibit good behavior towards friends and allies, acting maliciously only against those with ill intentions towards him and his close associates. For others, he remains indifferent. Boss doesn't wish harm on those he doesn't know, but he also remains indifferent when hearing of misfortunes befalling them.

He believes others should endure evil rather than he and his allies should. When an ally requires assistance, Boss willingly offers help, driven by genuine affection or the anticipation of potential future support. In the case of others in need, he assesses the potential rewards and risks of his actions. If an enemy requires aid, he either ignores or exploits their misfortune.

  1. Boss acknowledges two potential weaknesses: his current vessel and his family and friends.

'Who the fuck has the right mind to go after his family?'

  • CO7-3

'People being idiots. Stupidity at its best, and that's a fact.'

  • CO7-7

To prevent harm to Boss's family, VoidTech always ensures their total Corporate Protection. Those intending harm will be terminated immediately, regardless of reasons.

  1. VoidTech represents the culmination of all factions Boss led in the past. Its purpose is to protect the home planet and propel civilization into the Age of Stars, or the space age. This goal is reflected in the technology Boss provides for the company. Additionally, VoidTech also serves as a reminder of Boss's past purpose: a Galactic Custodian.

To whoever reads this file, tread carefully on what information regarding our Boss. Please make an effort not to delve too deeply into this matter.

Remember that because of someone, you are who you are today.

In Boss, we trust.

Glory to VoidTech, glory to the stars.

- The Administrator
