As they entered the dining room, there were about 20 children already seated. It seemed William was the last one to enter, and Miss Mary had not entered yet.

William took a seat at the chair next to the end of the line; there was only one chair at the end of the line, not on the other end. The chair at the end seemed to be reserved for Miss Mary.

Purrlock sat under his chair, and Norewen and Grenda were next to him.

William used 'observe' on the children.

Skill Observe's level has risen by one.

'It seemed Grenda was the highest level. I wonder if I'm the only one who got invited to Hogwarts,' William thought to himself as he waited. At exactly 8:00 PM,Miss Mary entered and calmly sat at the last open chair at the end of the line.

Cleman entered through another door and clapped his hands as plates of delicious food were placed on the table. William remembered the etiquette – only take after eating. There were plates of chicken, pork, steak, potatoes, and an array of other delectable dishes. The diners refrained from indulging until Miss Mary picked up a plate and began her meal. Following her lead, the others began to select and savor the various dishes. William took a plate of steak and pork, carefully cutting the pork into bite-sized pieces. He then shared it with Purrlock, who was seated beneath his chair, and they both commenced their meal.

After everyone finished eating, William asked Miss Mary, who was sipping on a cup of tea.

"Miss Mary, I got this letter from Hogwarts, and they've listed all the things I need for school. But, I'm not sure how I'm going to afford it," William expressed his concern.

Miss Mary looked thoughtful for a moment before replying, "Well, William, don't you worry. We'll figure something out. Hogwarts is a special place, and I'm sure they have arrangements for students who may need assistance. Let me look into it and see what options we have, and if they don't have arrangements for it I can just give you the money for it."

"Thank you, Miss Mary. I really want to go to Hogwarts, but I don't want to be a burden," William said.

"You're not a burden, William. We're a family here, and we'll support each other. Now, let me see what I can do about your Hogwarts expenses," Miss Mary assured him with a warm smile. Miss Mary continued to talk to the children about their requests. It seemed he was the only one to be invited to Hogwarts; the others seemed to have received invitations from other schools. They all appeared to have difficulty affording their required items. As the clock struck 9:30 PM, Miss Mary told everyone to go to sleep.

As he and Purrlock left the dining hall, they walked to his room. Once inside, William shut the door.

"Alright, Purrlock, I need to write a letter to Hogwarts. Miss Mary said they might have assistance for students who can't afford everything. I want to make sure they know about our situation," William explained.

Purrlock nodded, "Sounds like a plan. Let's get that letter written."

William took out a piece of parchment and a quill. As he began to write, he detailed his situation and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to attend Hogwarts. Purrlock watched curiously, occasionally making thoughtful purring sounds.

Once the letter was complete, William sealed it with an ink stamp and addressed it to the Hogwarts admissions office.

"Now, we just need to send this off. I hope they can help," William said, looking at Purrlock.

Purrlock purred reassuringly, "They will, William."

With the letter in hand, William and Purrlock left the room, making their way to the owlery to send the message. Along the way, William couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and anticipation for the journey that awaited him at Hogwarts.

The next day, William was playing chess with Purrlock as there was nothing else he could do at 4 in the morning. As William was about to be checkmated, the door to his room creaked open, and in came a house-elf. This one was taller, with a regal air about him. He spoke with a voice that seemed to echo wisdom, "Master William, Miss Mary wishes to see you. You have a visitor."

As William looked at the house elf he used "Observe"

[Lv.??][Mavin]

[????]

William had seen the elf before in his memories. William stood up. "Who is the visitor?" he asked.

"Miss Mary told Mavin not to tell, to level it as a surprise, but Mavin can tell Master William that he would be happy after meeting the man," Mavin said as he began to leave.

As William looked at Purrlock and gestured to follow, they made their way to Miss Mary's office on the top floor. As they entered the elevator, William noticed Purrlock looking confused at the phoenix feather.

"Why is there a big feather in the elevator?" Purrlock asked.

"It's a phoenix feather, and the only phoenix we have seen in the story is Fawkes, so I think it's Fawke's feather. But it could be another phoenix's feather," William said as he pressed the button labeled "Miss Mary's Office."

As they entered Miss Mary's office floor, the doors opened, revealing a long hallway that led to a door. They walked into the room.

Upon entering Miss Mary's office, William noticed a peculiar atmosphere. The room was adorned with magical artifacts, and there, standing near Miss Mary's desk, was a grizzled and stern-looking wizard. His eye had a distinct magical intensity. William didn't even need to use "Observe" to know who the man was, yet he still used it, wondering if his eyes were playing a trick on him.

[Lv.??][Alastor Moody]

[?????]

William wasn't sure what to think, and what Miss Mary said next, if not for Gamer's Mind, he would have been daunted.

"Ah, William, you have arrived. This is Alastor Moody; he will be your guardian from now on," Miss Mary said, her expression radiating happiness for William.

A mix of surprise and curiosity played on William's face. Moody, the renowned Auror, as his guardian? The implications were profound, and as he looked at Moody's stern expression, he couldn't help but wonder what adventures and challenges lay ahead under the guidance of this experienced wizard.
