XH 294 - brightest light bulb

The human realm may not be as dangerous as the Demon realm, or as peaceful as the God's realm, but it still attracted the five celestial beasts' attention.

Humans were weaker than demons and Gods, even incomparable to some animals in their realm. But they were creative and created things to make their life easier and as protection. The weak humans used their weapons to hunt animals as their food and grow plants to add more choices to fill their stomachs. They were also capable of creating their own entertainment to pass their time that was considerably short for Gods and Demons.

As decades passed, the human realm slowly became more liveable and more number of cultivators grew from absorbing the pure spiritual energy around the Human realm. That may be why the demons wanted to invade the human realm when they were able to sense rich power from the other side of the gate.

The Yellow Dragon always wanted to descend to the human realm, just like its other friends that had managed to slip through the tiny gap of hole between the two realms. The hole had long been fixed and the Yellow Dragon had yet to have the opportunity to slip to the human realm because it was too powerful. Its mere presence could unbalance the world if it came to the human realm.

After thousands of years of human's time, the Yellow Dragon finally found a way to enter the human realm without physically descending. It took one of its eyes, one of its horns, one of its fangs and one drop of its heart blood to create another version of itself.

The other version of the Yellow Dragon successfully entered the human realm but even if it was very much weaker, it was still stronger than humans and nearly attracted unnecessary attention to it.

Because of that, the Yellow Dragon sealed the other's power and memories, changed its form into a human's, letting it experience the life of a human from baby to adult.

As for the time the 'human' version of the Yellow Dragon wakes up from his forced slumber, he will only do so if his life was at risk. The other way was if something shook his mind and heart, so strong that it broke the restrain.

Because of his grief for his first love, Liang Shan finally remembered his real identity and regained his power.

The World Spirit would never create an average identity as his vessel even if it wanted to experience romance with a transmigrated bride.

The originally bald head suddenly grew out hair of the colour that nearly blind a person's eyes from its brilliance. A single long horn grew out from the right side of his head, the exact spot where the Yellow Dragon had removed its horn.

The dull brown kasaya that Liang Shan was wearing became bright yellow, a shade duller than his golden long hair that reached past his feet pooled around him like a robe.

His black eyes located the soul that woke him up and sent his gold spiritual energy to surround the remaining soul of Liu Chu Chu, protecting it from the demonic energy. The remaining soul was now as tiny as a copper coin, no longer able to retain her human form. The residual soul does not have enough substance to enter the circle of reincarnation.

The soul protected by his energy flew towards him, far away from the gate. The soul hovered above his open palm and the golden spiritual energy around it slowly solidified, forming into a gold crystal in the shape of lotus flower.

The chance for the soul to recover to her original size was zero to none, but with his power, she will have an opportunity to heal herself. However, it will take a very long time, even with the help of a God. As long as the soul was able to heal quite a bit, she will be able to reincarnate. A soul will get stronger only after going through reincarnations.

<Yellow Dragon!> Azure Dragon flew to Liang Shan, followed by Vermillion bird, White tiger and Black Turtle.

The four celestial beasts were unsure how their leader managed to descend onto the Human realm, but they were happy to see the Yellow Dragon. They had not tried to return to the God's realm, mostly because to recover their strength and guard the gate from being opened by the demons.

Liang Shan smiled at his friends that he had not met for more than a thousand years. <Azure, Vermillion, White and Black. I'm happy to see all of you doing well.>

<Yellow, are you here to seal the gate again?> Azure Dragon questioned.

<Not quite.> Liang Shan laughed lightly. <After this, let's have a good chat.>

Squinting his eyes at the direction where Azure Dragon had flown to, Heise suddenly missed his sunglasses. His male lead suddenly started glowing like the brightest light bulb in the entire world, blinding everyone that wanted to take a peek at him.

"Don't move!" Long Yuen shouted loudly, for fear that the bright light that hindered their vision would cause panic among the soldiers. It would be bad if they randomly swing their weapon around and harm their own comrades.

As for the green soldiers? They suddenly moved very slowly like they were burdened by a large rock on them, which saved the army that was affected by the bright light and they quickly put a safe distance away from the green soldiers.

"What is that?" One soldier stared at the direction of the blinding light, which came from their people's direction.

"Have God heard our prayers and come to help us?" The soldiers started to think so.

"Move!" Heise yelled at the dumbstruck soldiers. "Take this chance and quickly take down the remaining green soldiers!"

Qiang Laohu let out a loud laughter from the other side of the battle. "No need for you to say!" He had already started punching down the green soldiers that could not put up a better defence for themselves, followed by the raging fire birds from Feng Jiu.

The four vassals had heard the Celestial Beasts calling "Yellow Dragon" before they hurriedly went to the direction of the glowing place. They guessed that they would be re-sealing the gate soon, with all five Celestial Beasts finally in attendance.

Fu Chou was aware of the sudden bright light behind her direction, but was indifferent to it as her soul continued travelling past the gate. Suddenly, she could not move forward, or anywhere she wanted.

This was not the first time she was without a body and could be said to be experienced in moving her soul around. It was impossible for her to suddenly lose the knowledge of doing so. Quickly, she figured out the reason why, which was from the golden energy wrapping around her spirit form, caging her in place.

As she was helpless against the force, it must be a very powerful entity!

<As the one that created this catalyst, you should also be the one to fix this> Liang Shan's voice travelled to Fu Chou, where the latter could hear his words clearly despite they were far apart in distance.

<Running away after making a big mess, how irresponsible!> White Tiger scolded.

Fu Chou frowned, not knowing whose voices they belong to, other than them being the one that restricted her movement. "Let me go!"

<We are missing a soul to act as the lock of the gate between the two realms.> Vermillion bird said with a nod.

<A demon's soul is much tougher than that human monk. The new seal will last for a very long time.> Black Turtle appraised.

Fu Chou's soul distorted in response to their words. Did they want to seal her soul inside the gate? No!

As if Liang Shan was able to hear Fu Chou's thoughts, he said, <This is your punishment for opening the gate that should not be opened.>

"Noooooo!" Fu Chou screamed when she felt her soul being sucked towards a direction she could not run from. She does not want to be trapped for thousands of years! She just wants to meet with her daughter again in the afterlife!

Was it so wrong of her to wish for that?!

The demons that were rushing out to the human realm soon screamed along when they saw the gate reversing the direction of its movement and the gap became smaller.

The door clanged shut at the demons' face and sounds of angry screams could be heard from the other side of the gate. But after Fu Chou's soul was forced to act as a lock on the gate by the five different energy sources, the demons' cries could no longer be heard and the world returned back to silence again.

The Gate between the Human realm and the Demon realm was once again sealed.
