"Are you sick?" Jason frowned and said.

Jason's words immediately angered Vanessa, who grabbed Jason's arm and bit it.

"Damn! Are you sick?" Jason quickly pulled his arm away, but a string of tooth marks was left behind, and there was even a spot where blood was drawn, clearly bitten by her little tiger teeth.

"Hmph!" Vanessa snorted coldly, ignoring Jason.

Jason's face turned cold, and he restrained the urge to hit Vanessa, then turned and walked towards the coconut grove.

Vanessa followed expressionlessly, with a hint of satisfaction in her eyes.

Jason arrived under a coconut tree, looked up, and the sunlight shone into his eyes, slightly dazzling. The coconuts were high above the ground, making them difficult to reach by conventional means.

Feeling tired from the walk, Vanessa found a shaded spot to sit down and watched Jason prepare to get the coconuts.

Jason glanced at Vanessa, who was ready to make fun of him, then began to warm up and climb the tree.

Having lived a frugal life, Jason had taken many odd jobs, especially delivering takeout. To save time, he often had to climb walls and trees, so climbing trees was a piece of cake for him.

Jason picked a few coconuts and climbed down from the tree, clapping his hands. Vanessa  looked at the coconuts on the ground, and licked her lips, but still turned her head away proudly, thinking, "You have no tools; let's see how you crack it open."

Jason glanced at Vanessa, then took out a folding knife from his pocket. He had bought this folding knife for self-defense in case Chen Zhuo sent someone after him. He never thought he would use it for self-defense, but it turned out to be quite useful on this deserted island.

Seeing Jason carrying a small knife with him, Vanessa's eyes widened in surprise, then she remembered that Jason was about to use the knife to crack open the coconut, and she, with no other options, could only watch. Her heart sank with displeasure.

Jason effortlessly opened the coconuts with the knife and drank the coconut water immediately.

His throat, parched from thirst, was instantly relieved.

"Refreshing!" Jason shook his head and said.

Seeing this, Vanessa became even thirstier, swallowed her saliva, walked up to Jason, and arrogantly said, "Give me one coconut! And open it for me!"

"Why should I?" Jason heard the tone of command in her voice and instantly felt annoyed. They were stranded on a deserted island; who did she think she was to act like a spoiled princess?

"I'll pay you! I'll give you 500$ when we get back! If 1000 isn't enough, how about 10001? Will 10,000 do?" Vanessa said arrogantly, but seeing Jason's unchanging expression, she continued to increase the price, but Jason remained unmoved. She instantly became angry.

"You're so greedy! Fine, I'll give you 100,000 when we get back! Just give me a coconut, I'm dying of thirst!" Vanessa's expression turned sour as she said angrily.

"Ha! I don't want your money! If you beg me, I'll give it to you!" Jason sneered twice. He was very upset with Vanessa's spoiled personality, insisting that she beg before he'd give in.

"That's too much! I'm Vanessa, and I've never begged anyone in my life! How dare you make me beg!" Vanessa was scared. Looking around and seeing no one else, she couldn't find any words to say.

"I don't care about that! I don't want money, but as long as you beg me, I'll give you the coconut, and I'll open it for you!" Jason saw Vanessa's angry expression and felt secretly pleased. He continued to act nonchalant on the surface.

"I don't want it! Even if I die of hunger or thirst, I won't drink your coconut!" Vanessa gritted her teeth and said.

"Oh! I'll wait and see!" Jason's voice was full of distrust.

"Hmph!" Vanessa snorted and sat in the shade, trying not to waste energy.

Seeing that Vanessa seemed to want to confront him, Jason sneered inwardly, then climbed the tree again and picked a few more coconuts, placing them aside.

The sun grew hotter, and the temperature rose. Even in the shade, they couldn't help but sweat.

Vanessa's mouth felt dry, her face turning red, and she wiped the sweat off her forehead with her hand. She swallowed her saliva but still couldn't moisten her dry throat.

Vanessa felt a little dizzy, and she even had hallucinations in front of her eyes.

Not for any other reason but because she saw a coconut in front of her.

The next second, when Jason's face appeared in front of her, she realized it wasn't a hallucination.

"What do you want?" Vanessa retreated, asking cautiously, but her eyes couldn't help but look at the coconut in Jason's hand.

Vanessa swallowed her saliva and tried to avert her eyes, thinking, "I'm not thirsty, I'm not thirsty, I'm not thirsty."

But unfortunately, the more she thought that the more her eyes couldn't help but look.

"Cough!" Jason saw Vanessa staring blankly at the coconut in his hand, feeling somewhat amused, so he couldn't help but cough twice.

Vanessa reacted immediately, sitting up straight and looking at Jason with caution.

"Do you want it?" Jason shook the coconut in front of Vanessa and asked.

"I... don't want it!" Vanessa wanted to say it out loud, but she remembered what she had just said and immediately refused.

"Oh! You don't want it?" Jason asked in a tempting tone.

"I... don't want it! You go away!" Vanessa couldn't stand it anymore and started driving Jason away, trying to make herself not care about it anymore.

"Well, that's a shame! I'll just leave it here then! If it's gone, so be it!" Jason squatted down and placed the coconut in front of Vanessa, then walked away as if nothing had happened.

Vanessa looked at Jason's back in confusion, then looked at the coconut in front of her, swallowed her saliva, and forcefully shook her head, saying, "Who knows what's inside? I definitely won't drink it!"

Vanessa closed her eyes directly, but she couldn't help but imagine coconuts in her mind. So she opened her eyes instantly and secretly glanced at Jason. Since Jason's back was facing her, he didn't notice Vanessa's small movement.

Vanessa's eyes flashed with joy, and she muttered to herself, "He said just now that he was throwing it away, so it doesn't count as giving it to me!"

Vanessa quickly picked it up and then drank it down, and the sweet coconut water lingered in her mouth, instantly reviving her dehydrated body.

"Refreshing?" Jason's voice suddenly sounded beside Vanessa.

"Refreshing!" Vanessa put down the coconut, licked her lips, and blurted out.

After saying this, Vanessa's face turned black in an instant. She turned her head and glanced at Jason, then growled, "You did it on purpose!"

"You drank it yourself! I just asked you a question; was there any need to get mad?" Jason felt the other party's temper changing rapidly, feeling speechless.
