Peasant, king, or emperor, it matters not when there is a boot to their neck and a sword in their gut. They all bleed the same. Well, most of them do, but occasionally you get a surprise necromancer resurrection or a guy that regresses in time when they die, or a reincarnator with broken magic. It doesn’t matter though; I got broken magic of my own, and I can keep the dead well dead.

The Goddess Death and the God Reincarnation are in the middle of their cosmic spout, and whose job is it to clean it up? Death is tired of all these mortals playing fast and loose with the rules. It's time to put some of those escapees back in the dirt where they belong. The hounds of the underworld have come to claim the souls she lost. While they are at it, might as well take a few more people that the world would be better without.

Garmr, Cerberus, Anubis, and Tiangou, the former guardians of the underworld, were sent by Death to claim escaped souls released by her older brother, the God Reincarnation. However, when they arrived, they were betrayed and killed by Tiangou, one of their own. Ironic that the very divine assassins sent to kill the ones that cheat death were reincarnated by that very power. Derrick, the former Garmr, must gain the power to complete his divine mission and find the traitor that killed him.
