Adrian Adley has just been given a very unpleasant and dangerous job: running a boarding school for underage wizards. Magic is a tremendously risky thing to work with if you don’t know what you’re doing, and children honestly don’t know any better. Combine that with all the petty bickering and schoolyard rivalries a bunch of children in one place are prone to, and you’ve got a recipe for casualties.

Making matters even worse, Adrian’s predecessor shouldn’t have even been allowed near children, let alone allowed to run a school. Even aside from his extremely questionable hiring decisions, Humbernot was a criminally negligent drunkard who embezzled much of the school’s budget.

Even with Adrian’s truly supernatural talents at bureaucracy, it remains to be seen if he can fix this place.
