In the Great Archipelago, centuries of religious and ethnic war have devastated the islands of humanity. Fayola is a priestess from a small peace-loving village, but there are deep anxieties about violence spilling over from the neighboring islands. One day her Blessing (or curse?) awakens — the ability to appear in others' dreams. Every night, she finds herself in a stranger's bed, oftentimes a foreigner with deeply engrained hatred and animosity towards her people. Disturbingly, they often devolve into lecherous one night stands and intense wet dreams.

As she struggles to process the meaning of her dreams, their purpose, and their burdens, Fayola must reconcile her faith and the strange curse-like "Blessing" that she never wanted. Perhaps sexual intimacy is an opportunity for greater communication and dialogue? Fayola isn't sure, but like it or not, she can't escape from her fate.
