[VOLUME 1: Ascension]

It was during a bone-chilling winter night, I think. I attended a bachelor party with my friends... or so I remember at least. Let me be frank - I was the type of person most people would call as stoic. Most would not bother not referring anyways. Ah, now, where was I?
Right when the party was over, there wasn't any 'fun' remaining. Shoving the leftover snacks into my hands one of my 'friends' said, 'Say, why not take it with you? You could share it with your sick mother. You don't have enough money, right?'. I was a fool to blindly accept his prattles. And by the time I found out, they were half eaten...
Before I could cross the street to head home, I was confronted by the two bright lights rushing towards me, threatening. I felt an awful pain throbbing in my veins... and my life flashed before my eyes.

Waking up in a dark room after the dilemma I suffered, I could this nothing but as a dream. I was bleeding from my forehead as I regained my consciousness. Struggle was not an option, only the deathly silence... and waiting. I was badly hurt.

"Well, what do we have here?" someone tapped her heels towards me as I felt an ominous pressure on my body and went limp. I feared for my life for the first time.

The next thing I know, I was dragged to a place beyond my wildest dreams, and thrust into a destiny beyond my control. Who knew what else faith had in store for me - a puny human being?
