Receiving a phone call in the middle of the night is never a good sign. It either means someone is dead and a hole needs to be dug, or a shipment went wrong somewhere and a driver is stranded. Areannia’s latest night time phone call was no exception.

Catherine was a name Areannia hadn’t thought of for some time, so when the changeling called her out of the blue. The elf dropped everything she was doing to help her sister with one last job. The problem with ‘just one more load’ is that there’s always another after it or the ‘one more’ turns into a week of agony and many more holes to be dug out in the wilds.

Except this time there’s only one hole to be dug and it has Areannia’s name on it. If you believe Catherine that is. Areannia aims to change that.

- Characters making poor decisions.
- Massive use of cell phones and two-way radios, sorry.
- Set 24 years before my vampire story. Doesn't require prior knowledge of the setting.
