There

are Five Stages or Tiers in Cultivation, with the sole goal being to become an

Immortal God that can ascend to the heavens and join the ranks of other Gods.

In each tier, there are four stages to ascend, namely Low-Stage, Mid-Stage,

High-Stage, and Peak Stage. Those who have achieved Peak Immortal God levels

can choose to ascend to the heavens, though they will be barred from joining

the mortal realm.

Golden

Cores are very important to a cultivator as it is, in essence, what makes them

what they are. Without it, they are ordinary humans. It is susceptible to being

broken if there is not enough qi to fuel it. Only those in the Peak Immortal

God Tier are immune to it as by then, their golden core is completely

nigh-invulnerable and complete.

Refining Tier

The first stage that a

person enters. At this stage, a person is tested on which of the five elements

they have an affinity with. Those with two or more affinities are considered

prodigies and are highly sought-after by many Sects. Many would-be cultivators

would enter special schools that are run by the Leaders of the Five Notable

Sects though some could choose to cultivate on their own.

Foundation Tier

The Second stage that a

person enters. At this stage, a person goes through strenuous training and

meditation to build up a strong Golden core. This is the stage where they learn

most of their magic spells and are guided by the head disciples in on-the-field

training. This is also the stage where they will be properly joining Sects that

would suit their interests.

Nascent

Soul Tier

The Third stage that a

person enters. At this stage, a person’s training intensifies. Forming a

Nascent Soul is reportedly difficult, as it requires a lot of qi energy that

not all cultivators possess. At this stage, some people leave their respective

Sects to travel the world and train themselves on the field without the

restrictions and responsibilities of being in a Sect. If a disciple chooses to

leave their Sect, they are barred from entering as a disciple again but they

are welcome to visit.

Immortal

Tier

The Fourth stage that a

person enters. At this stage, cultivators have the ability to be able to stop

aging, though they can choose to continue. As an “Immortal”, they will not be able

to die from natural causes, nor do they physically age but are still

susceptible to fatal attacks, as they are not nigh-invulnerable. Those who are

at this stage are incredibly powerful individuals. At this stage, they can

become leaders or head disciples of their respective Sects.

God Tier

The Last stage that a person

enters. At this stage, should they achieve the Peak Immortal God stage, they

would be granted the ability to ascend to the high heavens with the other Gods

but should they choose to do that, they will not be allowed to leave and join

the mortal realm again. There are very few who can achieve this stage and are

revered by the cultivation world and humans alike, as they are the closest to

being Gods, but not true Gods.
