Synopsis

Six strangers. One cursed mansion. Survive the trials or feed the beast.

Waylen is a burned-out warehouse worker used to gritting his teeth through miserable shifts and making do with whatever crumbs management leaves behind. That grit is pushed to the breaking point when he wakes up in a clinically white room with five strangers, no phone signal, and a timer on the wall ordering them to complete a mission in two hours—or die.

Then the walls explode.

They’re trapped in a shifting mansion with no way out and something else locked in with them. It laughs as it bites off a head and rips out another throat. As the timer ticks down, mysteries stack up and bodies fall: What is this place? Who dragged them here? What happens when the timer hits zero—and what “mission” could possibly be worth surviving for?

Waylen will have to outlast, outthink, and outplay a homicidal nightmare, using every scrap of grit and cunning to turn terror into power. But escaping the mansion may only be the first trial…and the price of freedom might be infinitely worse.

Expect:
Fast-paced Action–Horror–Thriller with adventure, mystery, and psychological trauma.
Progression elements after the first mission (Infinity/Unlimited Flow style).
A smart MC who earns growth from Normal to Strong.
Both magic and sci‑fi powers/items that can be purchased.
A dark, gritty world where survival is fought for second by second.
Myriad missions with varied, escalating threats.

Content Warning: Grimdark themes, violence, and profanity. Reader discretion advised.

Schedule: 3 or more chapters a week – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (by 1:00 PM EDT / GMT‑4).

    Sisyphus
    Status: chapter 5

    Great start, wanna see more.

After reading the first five chapters they bring a solid blend of horror and psychological suspense that instantly captures the imagination. It's clear this series is packed with atmosphere. It's got the haunted halls, shifting architecture, and a pervasive sense of dread gripping me so far. The author’s talent for vivid imagery, especially the grotesque encounters with supernatural threats, makes the horror feel skin crawling. I’ve never read descriptions like this before!

The cast shines with realistic reactions and strong personalities. Waylen is a subtle but reliab;e protagonist so far and the money struggles are relatable. He’s surrounded by a team whose motivations and flaws deepen the tension. Dialogue is engaging and often sharp, though occasionally it could benefit from trimming for snappier pacing. Cliffhanger endings and well-timed reveals keep the story moving and make each installment another monday office first ‘can of the day’ time passer if you know what I mean.

Pacing is mostly excellent, with breathless chase scenes balanced by moments of reflection and group conflict. I would have preferred some of the gore be more present in the first chapter, especially since it is such a strength to the story. Without a doubt the story shows promise like few stories on this site do and already ranks among the most gripping horror-thrillers I’ve read the starts of. If you want nail peeling, suspense, and memorable characters, this series is a must-read.

Author-guy keep it up. I wanna know how it ends!
