Having no difference from normal tanks other than having 8 spider alike legs instead of tracks, a walker tank performs better in bumpy terrains. Spider legs also give it an edge inside the forests where its legs allow it to move towards left and right without changing the tank's main body's direction.

Rifts are crimson-colored portals used by invasive species called Crimson.

These one-sided gateways commonly appear in unhabituated areas as they are easy to destroy, and their big size makes them an easy target for humanity.

Because of that, Rifts usually open in deeps of oceans or middle of desserts and sometimes inside the forests where Crimsons can send much creature's as they can before UDC destroys it or it destabilizes itself and closes.

Rifts have five different alert levels. Level one and two Rifts can be closed by local forces, while level three and four Rifts need the intervention of UDC.

For level five, the most dangerous ones, there had been only two of them recorded in human history, one in the first quarter of the 20th century, and the other is in the 1980s.

The first level 5 rift changed the course of the first world war and created alliances between countries just been trying to destroy each other months before. Second level Rift destroyed a country.

In today's world rifts are much more common and dangerous than before, but as rifts progressed, humanity did as well.
