Every few centuries, a beastkin tribe resting in the furthest reaches of the cold north is blessed with a rare, ancient bloodline. They are beings of immense strength said to wield powers from the very infernos of the underworld.

Melantha, a hellhound beastkin of the Kordigna tribe, was not gifted these powerful traits alongside her three sisters. Her flames are mere embers in comparison. Her claws are dull and malformed. Her strength, while superior to most humans, is but a fraction.

All she inherited was the ferocity of her kind.

Shunned by her people and seen as a mockery delivered by their goddess, Melantha discards her contrived status to explore the world. After meeting a mysterious contact, she learns that perhaps there is something more to her – something beyond her supposedly-deficient abilities.

Melantha's journey leads her to Sarkest, a grand city ruled by cutthroat nobility, corrupt politicians and a sophisticated criminal underbelly. Here is where she will stake her claim in a land of violent conquerors.
For Melantha, there is something special about a brutal kill, but there is also a whimsical satisfaction in a battle of wits.
