Wonderful story. It progresses along the fine line of hero that is powerful, yet balanced. The protagonist doesn't wear the almighty plot armor; her actions actually lead to consequences both in good and bad. Moreover, the feelings of the characters don't feel forced (unless they are actually forced) and get depicted in a natural, subtle way. If you're a fan of reading between the lines to attempt a glimpse at the future, this story will most definitely give you the flags you need whilst not making everything obvious.
