I was expecting a gag story based around the hook in the title, and while it is that it wasn't shallow at all.
Instead I found a story with better world building and more complex characters than the vast majority of LitRPGs out there. The character dialog comes off as sincere, realistically messy/awkward at times, and doesn't try to patronize the reader. Thankfully so far the 'system' is a basic toolset that the characters interact with as needed and hasn't become an all-encompassing deus ex machina around which all events hinge.
Characters get pretty roughed up, enough to keep up the tension and drama during fights or interactions with enemies. Meeting strangers in a dangerous land is an event treated with wariness, as it isn't instantly obvious who is a mustache twirling villain or a knight in shining armor. Finally the humor is self aware and if you're the type to try and read this story despite the title it'll likely entertain you as well.
Will be interested to see how it unfolds as time for more updates goes by.
