Tyson was just a handyman. A non-motivated slacker. The kinda dude that you inevitably find hanging out doing odd jobs at the local trailer park, a couple ragged bucks in their pocket and a jar of change on top of their ancient microwave. That was, of course, until the arrival of BuyMort.
Nanobots of a mercantile sort, the robots of the Shopocalypse, these bad boys set up shop in everything with even an ounce of sapience and installed the only app anyone would ever need to have — BuyMort, the multidimensional monopoly with something for everyone. Priced appropriately in accordance with the market's desires.
For some it was a nightmare. For others it was a travesty. For Tyson, it was the birth of an empire.
Wonderful start. Imagine a cosmic Amazon or Walmart showing up to Earth and just taking over. Everything is pure monopolistic cutthroat capitalism, aliens are showing up and buying every one out, strange beasts are running around killing people and even dreams are coming true... to everyone's horror. It's super solid. MC is a slacker type who loves to get baked but now he's having to step up to the plate and makes things work in this new global system... or die. Just that simple. Two thumbs up. Written by a bud of mine. I've seen it explode on Royal Road and I know he made some changes and is now putting up here so I decided to finally sit down and give it a read.I'm glad I did!

I don't think there is a hidden gem achievement on this site. Written in an interesting way, though in way too much Murica way, so I had to keep checking what the heck the next term means. I would add some explanations to such terms in brackets if I were the author. Well written MC backstory, decent portraying as human and you amused me to no end that you get to keep your old boss in apocalypse. Too little litrpg In my opinion, but it seems to improve in recent chapters. I hope that kingdom/clan building will be an important part of this story. Overall quite a decent read, not too heavy on action.
