I haven't read enough to gauge the mc's character accurately, but he seems quite collected, smart and ruthless. At most I'd criticize the author for making the MC only have one way out from getting ass raped, that being a rock. You'll know what I mean if you read the first chapter. The chapters are long, but it's in a good way, as the author doesn't waste space with meaningless garbage. The world is disgusting, but it's also realistically disgusting, not like those japanese isekais where the only ugly aspect you'll find is from some villain nobles, which I actually find a bit refreshing.

Verdict, 4.5 stars. Will fall if the author tries to force in romance or makes the MC into a generic good guy.

Edit: Sadly, author added the trope of some higher/superior beings watching him. It makes the MC feel less special when people are expecting him and know about him so much, especially from the start. Personal pet peeve. Therefore, I slightly lowered the score.

Edit 2: Chapters 23-26 are confusing and feel like deus ex machina.

Edit 3: Hopefully the power loss is very temporary.

Edit 4 at ch 49: Lowered score to 3. First, the MC taking unnecessary risks and acting like this is a shonen. He doesn't need to risk death every time, and not everything needs to be a threat to his health constantly. It's gotten extremely annoying. At the same time, he acts like a pu**y every time he meets a human with some power and is surprised by minor things when he's seen the world black out and people die from it. It's starting to look more and more like a badly written power fantasy of a beta. He even went from ruthless to caring about some random kid who he doesn't actually remember cause he's not the original oz.

Final edit: I decided to drop this. The beginning and after he is saved feel like two completely different novels. It just doesn't fit. Him being reincarnated doesn't fit with his character being that of a child's.
