Not sure if the whole dungeon delving/climbing with s*xual skills came from this writer or not, as there are many i've seen with the exact same template including "This Ascent to Divinity is Lewder Than Expected" from the same author so I'm not going on the originality thing.

What I can say is; there's no better smut scenes, on that regard there's no discussion.

The support characters are all superb as well, both individually and with each other.

Unfortunately the protagonist is a very heavy anchor. Absolutely no growth in well over 200 chapters, mentally or emotionaly. Milking the very same 'disaster lesbian' fiasco plot from the first arc. She's completely unrelatable in her thought process, decision making and just general behavior.

Although I prefer the support characters from this work over "This Ascent to Divinity is Lewder Than Expected", what makes that story better is that the decision of things are rarely left to the protagonist, which is usually a bad thing but there it just works, maybe something for the author to look into it and apply it better here.

(Edit) : Bit petty of me but i'll be lowering my previous rating from 3 to 1 star. Reason being I got blocked because I didn't like the protagonist.

Was never disrespecful, always praised the hell out of this amazing author and yet this happens. Still wish the best for you though.

I don't understand how literally everything about this story can be S+ tier amazing from the world building, fantasy elements, LITRPG character building and growth, good side characters, decent story pacing, amazingly written smut and yet the MC is denser than a black hole when it comes to interpersonal relationships and romance between herself and the rest of the cast, particularly Jordan and Sofia. How does this story do so well and so poorly at the same time? 350k words and 257 chapters and the romantic subplot between Jordan Sofia and Natalie is still in its infancy stages. 3/5 

edit update: it's now 9 months since I left this review, I came back to see what was going on with this story out of boredom and have discovered the author has blocked me. LOL. Is it just me or does anyone else also see the irony here?

A very promising start so far. At the time of this review I feel the series is too within its infancy for me to give it a fair written assessment, however, it has put a strong foot forward. If the author's other works are any indication of what this has in store, then I give this a hearty preemptive recommendation for any lovers of both detailed RPG fantasy and Futanari.

This is not so much a review as it is a disclaimer and definately a chance to ramble.

See, on the surface this is a wonderful story with some smut in it. The worldbuilding is awesome, the characters are all fun and I just want to explore this place. Experience what is on offer. The hints of romance at the start already had me hooked...

But sadly (for me at least) that's not what this book is about. Now, I don't want to imply there's a trick here or that the book is bad... but so many things boil down to "does this lead to more smut". I've read ahead a bit upon hearing about a touch of controversy so I've read 6.50-7.03 already and after a good deal of thinking I understand. 

For me, and people like me who want to enjoy the smut as part of the story? We're missing "the point". The point, is not to explore the cool awesome world or the unique characters. The point is finding strange and interesting situations to f**k interesting characters. Which pains me to admit. The smut is good (I think? I don't go for this sort of stuff often and I've skipped over a few smut scenes at this point) but the issue is that I personally feel they don't serve the story the way I want them to. 

It's like... like asking for a Peperoni pizza and for some reason the tomato sauce is extra spicy. So spicy it covers up a lot of the other flavours. It's not bad, it's unique and still good pizza. But it's not what I wanted when I ordered it. If that makes sense? Which is perhaps a touch unfair. The author is quite clear this is a echi smut filled GL Futa story in the first chapter and the tags. I guess... I guess that the other stuff surrounding those moments was so good I let myself forget that.

So I guess I'm writing this review/ramble to help process that fact.

Had no Idea I would enjoy it this much when I picked it up first, binged it in one sitting, Mc's class and the situations resulting from it are prolly the most attention grabbing aspect for the reader, If I am being 'subtle' here, lol. I enjoy this story, however unlike Winterwhereof's other story were the smut is genuinely part of the plot and they exist in harmony. 

Lately it has started to feel that the story is only a device to carry us from one s*x scene to the next. And the worst of it is that the scenes feel like they are picked from a fetish checklist, all the whilst the plot progreesion has been thrown into a pit of molasses.

Which in turn destroyed my enjoyment of the story. I will likely still be back later but I will be taking a break from this story for a while, in the hope that not reading it weekly will help cure some of these issues.

Honestly it feels more like a 3.5/5 stars than a 4/5. But I will keep it higher in the hopes that when I return the issues will be fixed.

I saw a negative review and just had to make an account to offset it with a positive one. 

This story is great, its a slow burner with lots of care put into the world itself. Whether this is for you is another thing and you shouldnt read it if it isnt. Plainly, story is good at what it does, some things are hard to put my finger on but I notice a lot of other longer form stories leave me very lost as a reader because of all the new things introduced. This story is very grounded and has a lot of focus on character, which is very important to me.

The writing skill is most clearly shown in the s*x scenes. These are often nice and long with very indepth descriptions while also often progressing the story. In the end, this is why I read this story and it works as great pay-off to what came before it.

This is dense MC done right, she has no clue when it comes to people close to her actuall likeing her or her likeing others but you can't get annoyed at her because they just mesh so well and the relationships do keep building up. It truly is funny and a joy to read them interacting and while she is dense she ain't stupid either.
