The War of Regression destroyed much of the infrastructure across the world of Archaeodom. Factories and research facilities fell into ruin and centuries of knowledge were lost, both scientific and magical. The still-living tyrant Acheron wished to control and hoard the knowledge as much as possible for his own selfish needs while those still loyal to the Cain family destroyed infrastructure in an attempt to cripple his war effort as much as possible, causing the world as we know it today. A world where the heroic and naive seek lost knowledge to restore the golden age of the ALDF. A world where the tyrannical and the criminal attempt to remake the world in their image. A world that attempts to pick up the pieces of what remains.
