These were the words of my commander, I, Damien Nishimura am a 17-year-old boy who has spent the last 3 years as a medic in the United States Marine Corps. It's been rough, though I've never taken a life, saving them was my job as a medic. now that the war is over I've been stationed in Japan as a personal favor.

I can't go back to school in the States. I don't want to see those motherfuckers. The mind is a wonderful thing, but also a terrible burden, so as a request I decided to go to school in the home country of my mother. That's where I met her.

This is a story about a boy who has never had a positive experience with kids his age and a girl who won't let him waste beats of his scarred heart.
