Her world was unfair, dominated by massive megacorporations within the walls of massive megacities. Those born rich only get richer, whilst the majority of the population, the poor, could only wallow in misery. That was how the Cities worked. The outside world was an unforgiving wasteland, and the only place the poor like her could go were the slums at the bottom levels of the Cities, beneath all their splendour and vanity.

Then one day, the System arrived, but nothing changed.

Cassandra was a girl from the slums. Like everyone else, she dreamed of using the System to rise above the rest. To rise above the oppressive hierarchy set by those above. To become stronger. Those were but fleeting dreams for her. The System was monopolized, and only made things worse for slum-dwellers like her. The rich grew stronger, not just in influence, wealth, or Bio-tech enhancements, but now through stats, magic, and skills.

Cassandra lamented, until she met you. You, who made the System, and wanted to bring change just as much as her.

This is the story of a girl and her companion fighting back in a dystopian, sci-fi world.
