Characters
Dillon Caudry

General Soldier of Barrier Unit, Team 0-26.

He is highly empathetic, sensitive, and moody. His empathy and sensitive nature do not allow him much in the way of joy or protecting his heart, as he absorbs the negative impacts in the world that surrounds him. Should he observe, hear, or read poor news and events, he is susceptible to a sudden mood drop and will wall himself off from external stimuli. This way of exercising extreme caution causes much unrest and resentment from those around him, as long as he has not saved or defended them. His gloomy behavior does not invite discussion or mutual friendship, though many seek to entertain him, either because they like him or for his power.

Cedric Dominic Aster

General Soldier of Barrier Unit, Team 0-18.

He is blunt, cocky, clever, and stormy. He is quick to catch on to what he observes and will adapt to most situations without preamble. His feathers are not easy to ruffle. Despite his sharp perceptiveness, he is more of an optimist than most realize. His layers of contradictions give outsiders a sense of intrigue and entertainment. He is deeply into his own interests, does not care to conform with the majority, and has an edgy sense of fashion that would outrage the military he works with.

Caenan Heathe Beau-Mon

Also known as Third Prince Caspian, or Commander Caspian.

He is the third prince of the Kingdom of Crystal, second in line to the throne, and he can both crystallize, produce and manipulate water. Not just any kind of water, but Caspian water, the rarest one. On the same topic, the power to manipulate water is uncommon as well, as only those that inherit the rare gene can do so. "Caspian" is his inherited royal name because of these reasons.

He is calm, quiet, solitary, honest, and dispassionate. Not much fazes or moves him, other than harm coming to his beloved kingdom. He is intelligent and uses information to form strategies in battle, but he is not perceptive or deceitful. He cares for those close to him, those of the nation, and those of his past, but they will not rouse his liveliness or ire. It is seen as a problem of his character by the people closest to him. If there is nothing that gives him immense joy or sadness, then what will make him grasp for life as if it is important? What will move his still heart?

Lance Foright

A Captain of Special Armed Forces. Campus Instructor for General Soldiers.

He is a well-liked captain and instructor who does dozens of routine lectures on campus due to a shortage of military instructors. There are few captains because it is incredibly difficult to become one, as the military seek them to be good instructors as well. Lance is a sociable, confident, and proud individual who, despite being frivolous, has a certain charm and high energy that makes him likable to many. He is also direct and frank. Students often ask him questions as they like to learn more about him.

Julien Ailes

General Soldier of Barrier Unit, Team 0-25.

Quiet and impassive, he watches other people to analyze and file their conduct, behavior, and character. He tries to perceive others first to decide whether they are worth getting involved with, or if they can be trusted with a certain level of communication and interaction. Most do not gain his trust. Once he has dismissed or filed someone under a specific category, it is not easy to change his mind. He can be bullheaded about his ideas and opinions. Therefore, when someone does gain his approval or appreciation, his will, loyalty, or devotion tends to be cast in stone.

He looks unemotional to outsiders, but there is a raging storm of emotion inside him for the eyes of his close friends and family. He tends to stay silent and ignore those he dislikes, avoiding them to the best of his ability. It's not easy to flip his switch or provoke him.

Hallio Jasper

From chapter three: He was tall and lean, his physique toned. He had tan skin, clean hair the color of a melted sun, and almond-shaped blue eyes. His lack of expression made him seem indifferent and quiet.

Jasper came from Island of Aerudan, on his journey to meet the one woman of his fantasies, dreaming of a warm family and home.

Jasper stood. He was still expressionless as ever. "Hallio Jasper. I don't like too many rules or being told what to do. If I don't want to do it, I won't do it. If you talk to me, don't be mad if I don't respond as you like. I am not good with words or reading. I enjoy music."

Interests: Music, not following too many rules or following the crowd like sheep, dramas, cheesy romance

Dislikes: Following many rules or being obedient. Reading

Height: 183 cm / 6'0"

Items
Crystal Military Key Terms

Ranking System:

  1. Cadet — An ally in training to become a soldier of the Crystal Military.
  2. Soldier — A soldier at the bottom of the ladder inside the Crystal Military. They have the power to crystallize, or to make crystals usually from nothing, but occasionally from glass or water.
  3. General Soldier — A general who has the authority to give orders to the troops of their specific team/unit. If there is a need in the case of a general soldier's absence, they may take command temporarily in different teams.
  4. Captain — A soldier who has authority of everyone of lesser rank in order to give orders or present lessons in their history, positions, units, powers, and combat systems. They may lecture on new plans and strategies for present battles, given they are asked by a general. Campus and training instructors are usually of this rank.
  5. General — A general who can give orders to those of lesser rank, plan out battles and strategies, take charge in present battles, and historically record any and all battles or wars. They can temporarily or unofficially promote soldiers if the need arises.
  6. General Commander — A general commander who has all of the abilities of a general. They can officially promote soldiers and make announcements about them, as well as demote or fire them. They can also form teams if the need arises, assign pressure, and obtain permission in military government sectors for various requests and needs (e.g. make classes, permanently terminate soldiers, request aid of specific persons in a sector, transfer a soldier).
  7. Commander — The highest rank possible. There are extremely few Commanders in the Crystal Military. They are allowed to make announcements, declarations, lectures, and speeches. To become one, a soldier must prove to have enough experience, achievements, titles, awards, and power.

Crystallizing Unit — A unit of soldiers with the power to crystallize (or make crystals) in general. They usually participate in combat to form assaults or to defend against an assault. They are allowed to help other units if their assistance is needed.

Barrier Unit — A unit of soldiers with the power to crystallize a massive wall that will hold other powers or physical attacks at bay. The wall is usually transparent, large and tall, and incredibly difficult to fully break or melt. They are allowed to help other units if their assistance is needed.

Extinguish Unit — A unit of soldiers with the power to crystallize (or make crystals) for the purpose of instant melting and putting out fires, whether it is a normal or special (explained in Chapter 2) fire. They will use water to make crystals, melt them immediately, and extinguish fire on objects, people, or buildings, rather than use their power in active combat. However, they are allowed to participate in an assault if engaged in combat, if another's life is threatened, or if the Crystallizing Unit needs more assistance.

Special Armed Forces — A team of soldiers specially trained to adapt, battle, carry out plans, rescue soldiers or specific individuals, and abduct or capture enemies. They have specific combat techniques and strategies that they follow by, or are allowed to make their own according to their situation. They usually follow special cases and situations covered by the Investigations Unit.

Investigations Unit — A unit of soldiers that take on special cases, situations, or instances of combat that has generated confusion, complications, burdens, changes, and which have multiple layers that may breed danger or risk. They dissect and examine such cases to alleviate conflict in the military, government, or country. They usually cooperate with and utilize the Special Armed Forces if needed.

Military Government Sectors —

Humanistic Sector — A sector that looks into military applications and background information of individuals, determining who to interview, test, employ, or skip. They screen them and assign them their positions, if accepted. They will also look into military matters that involve a specific individual, assuming that an official complaint or report has been made on that person. When it turns out to be true, which they will also determine, they will decide on a suitable punishment; even scolding or lectures can be considered punishment. It is vital that all people in this sector are unbiased, unprejudiced, objective, logical, and thorough.

Scholar & Library Sector — A group of scholars that control the library on military bases, camps, and campuses. They are usually soldiers trained to defend themselves, property, and possessions against attacks of all kinds. The group is also trained to record minor and major battles and wars that took place in the Kingdom of Crystal, as long as the military is involved. Some scholars are certified counselors as well, and as such, will provide therapy to soldiers in need.

Rage of Fire

Synopsis:

For about 52 years, the Kingdom of Crystal and the Island of Volcano have battled fiercely against each other. Citizens of their respective kingdoms harbor rage and resentment towards the other side; it is because of the history of their citizens that neither of the royal governments are allowed to let the war go. Extensive history of bloodshed has brewed too much hostility to be erased so easily. Whenever they attend the annual peacemaking communal meeting—a meeting to discuss political laws between eastern island governments—they always end up butting heads until the end.

With the hidden history of a friendship between the Third Prince of the Kingdom of Crystal and the Prince of the Island of Volcano, however, their public show of rivalry is not the whole truth. In fact, they both secretly work together to unify their nations and to enact a peace treaty that would become accepted by the people. Given Third Prince Caspian's seat as second-in-line to rule, however, they face more difficulty than they initially anticipate despite his top military ranking.
