I came here because I once read his old story "Stygian Mage", it was interesting though the style was not quite mature (some errors), this new story is far better, even if I only read the 6 first chapters it is obvious that the quality of the writing as improved, and for that good job author, it is not easy to change the way we make our story.
But I think that the beggining of the story is very messy, by wanting to place important hint and clue to the lore of the story, but it come as very difficult to understand, a lot of characters introduced at the same time without really explaining who they are, same for the worldbuilding, we are introduced with the world system from the point of view of someone who has lived all his live there it's very difficult to undersdtand, and I had to go back and forth to make sure I understood everything.
I think the story would win in becoming a bit clearer in what is going on, which is a shame because the characters, power system and worldbuilding in general seems very interresting and make me want to know more.
All in all this story won't be for everybody but I like it very much.
