If you were to ask him about anything resembling his own identity, he would come to a complete blank. Not necessarily because he has nothing of a past, but simply because he doesn’t exactly know what his ‘past’ even is. Is it an issue of memory? The lingering emotions that are always around him? The little human connections he has? He knows it’s a mixture of a lot more questions than just that, and so, he pretends not to care about himself. He’ll continue living on as is. But he couldn’t exactly help wanting to change just
... more>> a little. He hated the pitiful, stagnant life he had.. Even though it shouldn’t have mattered to a person like him.
And so, Cillian joined his high school’s film club. He didn’t have any experience with film, but he felt that if he tried something creative, perhaps he would get something like an ‘idea’ in him. He didn’t care if he had pressure put onto him. In fact, that pressure would have probably been for the best. He would have done anything to get out of the stagnancy he had. That’s what he felt he had to do. Even if it was senseless. But he got stuck between more connections. More people to interact with. More responsibilities and trusts he had to uphold. In the midst of all that, he found Rena. The president of the film club. Cillian wouldn’t describe her as stunning necessarily, but her presence certainly made him reflect on himself. On the kind of value he placed on others. For he eventually came to realize Rena was his desire. He had found what he wanted to do. Or at least, he got that idea. He would dedicate himself to his film club. To find out what exactly this desire within him was. Is it something he had towards Rena? Or did he just see her as an inspiration to be creative? It probably wasn’t any of that. But it would have been nice to believe that it was something simple, Cillian thought.
But just as he was about to prove his worth to the club. Just as he was getting in a position to finally write something for it. Just as he started to feel he had found his place, his ‘idea’... Cillian started to feel something ominous in him. Strange, vague visions plagued his mind. He couldn’t really call them hallucinations. But they weren’t of this world either. He only had them in his dreams. Yet, it felt like he was constantly being watched. Even though he thought this was only in his dreams, he could never shake that feeling. Did it just start to become stronger as he began to feel comfortable? Or is it because he started feeling comfortable that he grew more sensitive towards it? He...couldn’t tell. But he had to confront it nonetheless. The abyss that had always been looking back at him. Even though he never remembered looking at it himself.
And what he found there...was silver...and green.
