P.S. Nice to meet you, my name is Bogdan and I am the author of the screenplay you can read below. Before you proceed to familiarize yourself with my work, I would like to share some details.
This is not the light novel you're accustomed to seeing here. This is the screenplay for a visual novel that I, along with my friends, wrote for the Ukrainian Visual Novel Jam. Below is a link to our game. Unfortunately, there is no English version available yet, but we will add one soon.
This story about Nika and Yuri is very important to me because I wrote it after breaking up with my girlfriend, and to be honest, I was shattered. At that moment, it seemed easier to die than to continue living. Overall, everything was fine for me until then, but after the breakup, I found myself for the first time standing in front of the mirror, thinking that there was no real purpose in continuing to live.

But thanks to my friends and the writing of this story, I managed to pull myself back. Perhaps my state wasn't as dire as I thought, but the support of close people and engaging in creative work helped me see a distant glimmer of hope in life.

Initially, we thought that everything would end with the jam, but after it ended, I decided that I wanted to make more out of this story. I didn't just want to tell the story of one couple, but I wanted to try to help people who are also going through a breakup and don't know what to do next. <<less

Found and rescued by another, similar but distinct; departed and never seen again. Left alone, yet again. Alien among aliens. Forced to hide and blend in… to a point; hunted, yet not really. Young, yet ancient. Analytical, yet aloof. A mind decayed by time, riddled with contradictions. Masks and faces worn as one, both without identity. A purpose long lost.

Gods scheme upon rotting thrones, shackled to wills beyond their own. Great powers devour their world, cursed with stomachs never satiated. Delusions of fantasy dreamt to swipe away the nightmares heralded by shooting stars. The world’s play motions forward to the choir’s tune as the past withers away; the stage evolves and changes, yet remains static and contrived.

Meaningless happenings, given meaning. People found, turned to characters. Memories, turned to story. Events in observation, narrativized. A protagonist found and placed on stage, made to dance the play of it which observes, indifferently yet with ever maddening interest.

English synopsis:

When the nameless protagonist wakes up in an unknown world without memories being a slave to the Baron, a so called "Adventurer", is the least he expected. He soon finds out that "Adventurers" are players from another world, a "real" world somewhere out there, who have completed the video game that is this otherworld by slaying the final boss. However, the whole playerbase is still stuck in this game which they now have to call their new home. After the death of the great hero Arslan, the Godslayer, they split into two groups: The Heavenly Union in the west, which lives in harmony with the inhabitants of this world, and Carnifex in the east, which sees the NPCs as a means to an end for their ultimate goal.

When the Nameless is the only slave released from captivity he is willing to quest for gold to buy his friends free. He sets out on an adventure which might bring back his memories while at the same time making him the great new hero of this otherworld. Raiding bosses, leveling up and looting gear are all par for the course when uniting the players and NPCs alike to take another shot at killing this world's gods.

"I Woke Up In Another World As A Slave" is a debut web serial in the Isekai/LitRPG genre by two student buddies (IgLu Books) exploring class divide, comeradery and heroism in a player-run video game world long after the final boss has been slain.

English chapters come out every Tuesday and Friday at 6 p.m. CEST. German chapters release every 10 weeks in bulks of 20 (approximate chapter length 900-1100 words).

- Long story, moderate pacing. Character driven downtime scenes, but no detailed kingdom management, base building, etc.
- Non-linear storytelling, frequent action and intrigue. 
- Protagonist who tries to be morally good, but is forced into harsh situations where she must confront complex and grey choices for survival.
- Serious character development narrative with protagonist failures and setbacks, no ridiculous power scaling.
- Detailed world with religions, mythology, and history.
- Magic system based on real world folklore, some minor western-style cultivation elements.
- A crossdressing, bisexual, polyamorous, female MC, taking inspiration from the historical Joan of Arc.
