"I'm sorry, but the story SUCKS. It was...(insert grumble grumble here)."

"I will think about it, thanks for your advice."

...

"You're an Author, but why don't you listen to criticisms at all? I already told you (blah blah blah) but you still keep repeating the same thing."

"Look, I just write for fun and while it's helpful, I don't think I'm capable to do everything people tell me to. I cannot please everyone and if I couldn't have fun with my writing, would my readers be happy about it?"

"This is why you can never get better! You have no talent in writing, please stop posting anymore."

"There are a lot of better Authors out there, why waste time with me in the first place? You don't like it, you don't have to read it. If you come here to just force your personal preference, why don't you use your own advice and write something for your own?"

After that, the 'reader' shared this comment with his cliques.

"Hey guys, this Author cannot take criticism, let's bash this idiot!"

"Go write your own, he said. Who does he think he is? A god? So we can't talk smack about his works? Do he live in a cave, does he even understand what Free Speech means?"

"Aren't you guys being too judgmental here? It's not like you guys have a right to dictate what he's writing."

[User has been kicked from the chat.]

"We don't need an idiot like this guy."

"This is why most of the stories out there is a piece of shit! Retards like these kept praising those shit Authors while the good ones never seem to update again."

"Then why don't you just support the good Authors? Is there any need to start drama everywhere?"

[User2 has been kicked...]

"Another idiot again. Why are there so many idiots out there?"

"That's how the world works. So many idiots while people like us with intelligence suffers."

"Isn't it just normal for them to be bad? It's not like they're published Authors. They might just be someone sharing their feelings after a hard day's work."

"It doesn't matter if they're shit or genius. When it exists, they have to be prepared for criticisms. We had too many shitty Authors for another one to exist again."

"...but isn't it unfair? Aren't your opinions are too biased right there?"

"Why did their feelings matter? All we want is just good stories. By weeding them out, we'll be doing a favor to good Authors."

"To be honest, not everyone deserves to publish their stories. If you just want to write for fun, why even bother sharing it? Unless you just want to share it with your group of circlejerk friends? Hahaha!"

[User3 has left.]

"Another retard. Well, I'm not kicking him right away on purpose, so he'll tell the other retards to fuck off."

"They're messing around with the wrong folks."

"What a bunch of virgins. I bet they're ugly as well."

"Damn right! Anyway, we'll gather some cool kids and trash that motherfucker right there. Man, those stories are so terrible, why do you keep reading that shit?"

"Of course to find more things to bash it! Some Authors had head far too much on their arse just because a bunch of retards worshipped them. I'm just doing a good favor by letting them know their place."

...

The day after, the Author woke up to the various alerts of people giving the lowest star review.

Reading the contents one by one, it was filled with a bunch of nonsense. He started to lose interest in it.

He just logged in his usual chat while listening to some chill music before a friend sent him a private message.

"What's the matter, man? Your rating went down so low. Is that the doing of those pricks earlier? Wow, these guys are so hateful and toxic. What the hell are those reviews? Did we even read the same novel?"

"It's just an opinion. No big deal."

"Aren't you angry about it? Those folks who didn't even know shit about your work just came and trash it?"

"Well, who doesn't? But if I'm angry, does it have any benefit for me? Would it change anything?"

"Are you going just to let these bastards walk all over you and harass you until you couldn't write anymore?"

The Author, in front of his PC, just let out a sigh.

It seems his friend out there wasn't much better anyway—at least he's on his side.

"Can they hack my account, email address and gain access to my personal information?"

"Those fellows don't seem to have a brain--I don't think they could."

"In all fairness, I won't delete their comments or reviews as well-- I'm not responsible for their actions. It can also serve as good publicity. Plus, don't you think—the loudest ones are always in the minority?"

"I see!"

"It's pretty common to think of our opinions as right, but I see things in a matter of benefit. It wasn't worth concerning myself for. I have my minds full of work and when I'm up, I just want to chill. I have no time for this shit."

"...still, why are there so many hateful people around? It's not like you ever did bad things to them, right?"

"I don't really care about them. This topic bores me—can't we just discuss futa lolis?"

"Err..."

Not long after, the reviews were all downvoted to death and there's some violent drama in the comments section. The mass retaliation from the community at large, with even the attempts of hacking, to the point of compromising their personal information—the hateful users deleted their own account and never appeared again.

The Author himself didn't give much care.

'I'm the one who can change my own story. The final say is always on me. No matter what you think, this is my story, not yours.

If it benefits me, I'll take it. If not, I'll scrap it. Whether or not you like it, is not my problem.'

...and he just went on his life like usual.

So many books; so little time.
You're not a critic; just lazy and lame.

...so the Author rhymed.

It definitely isn't the first and definitely wouldn't be the last.

He just knew, and grateful, that there's someone who appreciated his works enough to defend him.

...cuz he's too lazy to do it himself.
