As the group walked towards the sewer entrance, they started to encounter people wandering about looking confused. Some were laughing, while tears were running down their faces. On a corner a man was screaming that there was a skeleton monster inside of him.

"Where are all of the Guards? I can't imagine all of them working with Trevor on this." Alexia asked Beryl.

Beryl shook her head "I don't know. I didn't dare go to the Headquarters after fighting Trevor."

They finally reached the Sewer entrance that Alexia had used before. On the door handle was blood and wasn't fully closed. Alexia pulled it open expecting to be hit with that overwhelming stench from before, but it was a different smell this time. A dry stench of decay and death crawled up from the depths and into their noses.

"Ugh What is that smell?" Lena said while holding her nose.

Megan frowned and said "It smells like the undead. I've only fought them once, but they smelt like this."

Stepping into the entrance of the sewers, Alexia could feel the ambient mana was starting to rapidly increase. The level was so high that she could feel an odd itch all over her body as the mana.

"We should be safe from mana burn at this level for at least a day." Megan said as she started down the ladder.

"Mana Burn?" asked Alexia.

"Your body slowly adjusts to the ambient Mana. If you move from a normal mana level to a highly concentrated mana level, you risk getting mana burn. I've never had it, but I saw an adventurer with it once. The Mana fuses with parts of the skin, it's incredibly painful, and i've been told it feels like being constantly on fire. Hence Mana Burn."

"But that takes awhile to happen. At this level of mana, we would have to stay here for about a day." Megan said as she got off the ladder, followed by the others.

Alexia went to the door that led to the actual sewer tunnels and found more blood around it. Pulling it open she was startled to find the tunnel ahead was full of slimes. They were all weak level 1 slimes, but the amount was a little ridiculous. At least twenty-five slimes were milling about.

"Damn, with all the Mana in the air, slimes are popping out faster. There might be a monster wave!" Beryl said.

"Stand back, I'll handle this" Alexia said to the others and focused on the mana flowing through her body and started forming the path as described in the Storm of flames skill. When the path was complete, she brought her hands together in a clap and a wall of flames burst forth and tore down the tunnel. Without a chance the slime burst into flame and perished.

Alexia felt a minimal of experience flow into her, but Megan groaned as she gained two levels in quick succession. Alexia helped her stand under the onslaught of pleasure, and with her self-discipline, Megan was soon back in control of herself.

When the flames hit the back wall, all the slimes in the tunnel were dead. "Holy Shit, that was so cool!" Lena said. They quickly headed down the tunnel and turned right where Alexia had seen the chamber with a ladder that led to the deeper levels.

Crossing the tunnel to the chamber, they found inside two King Slimes, a odd White Slime and a Red Slime. Using Examination on the White and Red Slime she pulled up their information.

Alexia told the other what she had seen and they made a plan to fight them. "Okay, I'll take out the two King slimes, Megan and Lena will fight the Vampire Slime, and Henrik and Bob will fight the Bone Slime, with Beryl providing defense." With the plan set they took their places and Alexia started to summon the path for a flameshot to shoot the King Slimes.

The Vampire Slime felt the mana flow from Alexia and turned and dashed towards Alexia. It was stopped short when a large crossbow belt slammed into it from Lena's crossbow. The Vampire slime gurgled in anger and changed it's target to Lena and fired a blood bullet right at her. Beryl quickly moved in front of the otter girl and blocked the bullet with her shield causing her to slide back from it's force.

With the Vampire Slime currently distracted the Bone Slime made its move against Henrik and Bob. It released a cloud of Bone dust, disappearing within. Carefully Henrik and Bob approached. Bob suddenly dodged to the side as a Spear of bone shot out from the dust towards him. Finding its location Henrik charged in and swung his Great sword into the side of the Bone Slime, and it flew out of the dust cloud and slammed into the side of the wall from the force of Henrik's swing.

While they were handling the two exotic slimes, Alexia was firing flame shots at the dodging King Slimes. They responded with their own Acid Shots. Being careful to not let crossfire happen slowed her firing of Flame Shuts down, but soon she scored a hit on one of the King Slimes and instantly killed it, leaving the other King Slime gurgling in rage over it's lost brethren.

The Vampire Slime jumped towards Beryl in an attempt to attack her, was stopped again when Megan said in her commanding voice "Sit still and take you punishment." The slime gurgled in confusion then pain as Megan started to lay into it with her whip in a flurry of strikes.

After getting up the Bone Slime was dazed from Henrik's hit at attempted to summon another bone spear, when Bob started to lay into it with his mace. Gurgling it reached out to grab at Bob, but Henrik had arrived swinging his blade down upon the part reaching out and sliced it off.

Alexia had cornered the King Slime, and as it attempted to blast her with a spray of acid, she dodged and fired several flame shots into its side. It gurgled a death rattle and Alexia turned to help the others. Megan was driving the Vampire slime back under her whip strikes, and it was starting to gurgle madly. It finally broke free and jumped away. It started to glow and blood bat's burst out of it and dove towards them.

Bringing up the Flameshield, Alexia managed to burn off the diving blood bats. Beryl defended herself and Lena from the diving bats that burst. Megan dove through the bat cloud and came to Alexia's side. Alexia began to pound the Vampire slime with her flame shots.

While they were finishing up the Vampire slime, The Bone Slime was on its last legs under the assault of both Bob and Henrik. It was trying to flee, and tried to summon another bone dust cloud. Henrik came to it's side and drove his great sword into it and into its core killing it.

As they killed the Bone Slime, Megan used her commanding voice again again and froze the Vampire Slime. Alexia took this chance and began to pound it with Flame Shots and finally it died and burst into a burst of dust and left behind a huge red core.

With it dead both Alexia and Megan leveled up. Alexia only gained one level, but Megan gained another two levels. Alexia revealed in the sense of pleasure of the energy flowing through her, and catching Megan's eye's, Alexia knew she was enjoying it like her. Beryl looked at both of them and said "What is going on with the both of you?"

"When we reach a higher level we get a burst of power. It comes with a release of pleasure." Alexia said.

Beryl snorted and said "You sure this isn't a sex god you've contracted with?"

Megan shook her head "I don't think so, a lot of it seems to be revolved around battles. Though it does seem to have some interest in sex from some of the things it offers."

Alexia picked up the Blood red core, and the White core. When she took the white core, she handed it to Henrik and Bob. "Here this is yours." Bob took it and placed it into a pouch on his side. Alexia noticed from the battle that when Henrik and Bob killed the Bone slime, they did not get any experience. It appeared that in order to get experience a user had to kill it, but as long as that user was in a party with other users, they would all get the experience.

Going to the ladder that went down Alexia noticed that the chains and locks that had held the ladder hatch down earlier were gone. She looked at Megan and said "We should take a moment to upgrade our abilities. I feel like it will only get more dangerous from here." Megan nodded and Alexia pulled up her status screen. She placed her two attribute points into Intelligence and Constitution. Then she leveled up Storm of flames as she felt they would meet a great number of enemies ahead leaving just one skill point.

"Hey Megan, do you need any advice on how to use your skill points?" Alexia asked Megan.

Megan shook her head, "No, I think I've got it. I decided to pick up a powerful attack skill, and level up some of my other skills." Looking at the others. "Is everyone ready to head down?" The Group nodded.

Beryl went to the hatch and popped it open. "According to the maps I've looked at this, leads to the ancient sections of tunnel that were here long before Navak was." Beryl took the lead and Alexia began to climb down the ladder. As they went the walls began to turn black. The only light source soon became Alexia's Flameshield. Climbing down into the darkness was producing a oppressive feeling.

The Ladder soon ended on a platform carved into the side a gaping hole that led further into the ground. A tunnel was carved into the side. The black stone here had a crusty appearance, that felt like it was melted before. When Lena got off the ladder she pulled out a torch from her pack on her back and lit it. Providing a bit more light Lena took the back as they marched down the tunnel in a single form line.

The tunnel was about six feet tall, so the tall Henrik had to lean forward as he went. Barley a handspan across Alexia dreaded fighting in such close confines. As they went further, they began to hear chanting. They soon saw the lights of torches filtering down the tunnel. Careful they snuck forward and found a small cavern.

In the back of the room was a statue of a woman with a demonic set of wings, she had a look of pure malice that sent shivers down Alexia's back. A group of people were chanting and cutting themselves letting the blood drip onto the floor. Two vampires were licking the blood off the ground. A rotting zombie was in a corner, looking like a servant waiting for orders. Using Examination Alexia took a look a them. The group of people were just human, most were actually almost dead from blood loss, so they were of no threat. The Vampires and Zombies weren't much stronger.

Alexia said "I'll attack with a storm of flames, watch out for the zombie, it looks like it can cause diseases so don't let it touch you. Alexia then started summoning the storm and then stepped out and released the flame wave over the group of people. The weakened ones instantly died and the other started to roll around in pain on the floor. The Vampires were not fazed by the flames, and dashed towards them.

Beryl and Henrik stepped out and swung their weapons at the charging vampires. In a frenzy they did not even bother dodging the blows and took them head on. Already weakened by the flames they were pushed to the ground, where Henrik cut off their heads off.

The Zombie started moving slowly towards them and Megan used her whip to trip the stumbling undead. Falling to the floor, Lena shot it in the head with her crossbow. The crossbow bolt destroyed the rotting head in a burst. Finishing the battle quickly, Beryl and Bob went through the cultists that were still alive and killed them.

Out of the Corner of her eye, Alexia was startled to find the zombie body starting to get up. Alexia began to pelt it with flameshot's until it was a blackened mass that didn't twitch again.

Taking a moment of rest they examined the statue. "I don't recognize this Evil God." Megan said at last.

"Me neither, it's certainly creepy though. Going to have to have some church come down here and consecrate it so it can be destroyed." Beryl said.

As they turned to start down the tunnel a window popped up
