Everything turned to chaos as the Imperial Guard from both sides jumped into action:
The Human Emperor's Guard split themselves into two pairs: two of them, Ronin and Atticus stayed behind to guard their liege, and Gloria and Yuske rushed towards where the beam of energy came from to distract the source along with six of the Imperial Dragons' Guard, six World-Breakers and two Imperial Glaives rushing toward an unknown enemy that had attempted to strike the Dragon Emperor with a long ranged attack.
The Dragon forces all immediately rose into the air and started to get into a synchronized formation as shields surrounded entire battalions of forces. The Six World-Breakers that had stayed behind to guard the Eternal Imperials, including Gri'th'lysn, spread themselves out in a wide circle to protect their Imperials watching for any kind of attack from every other direction possible in the air.
"You planned for this to happen Human!" Gri'th'lysn roared, though not leaving the formation, "You intended to keep the Great Eternals distracted while a powerful adversary made an attempt on their lives..."
"Quiet Gri'th'lysn!" Emperor Eternal reprimanded her, "As coincidental as these circumstances are I don't believe that The Human Empire as a whole is at a point where they would yet pose a significant threat to our own, much less myself and my Empress. It would serve you best to shut your snout and hold any contempt you have for the Humans for yourself, your mate, or the sparring arena once this is over Captain."
"As you wish, Great Eternal One." Gri'th'lysn dipped her head in apology but shot a stink-eye towards Emperor Novine as she started to rotate amongst her sisters in the protective circle around their Charges.
In the distance the eight Imperial Guard that had charged the source of the Destructive Beam of Energy had reached the source and wasted no time attacking: It was a gigantic, animated skeleton of a Dragon that had long since moved on from the world of the living. Its eyes had been replaced by the burning embers of a purple blaze, the bones of its body shone with an unnaturally white glow despite the dark tendrils connecting each one together like tendons. It opened its mouth to roar and despite its clear lack of lungs and vocal cords the boom of a once feared terror resounded throughout the area as a purple glow whispered its greetings from the back of the Undead's throat.
There was no warning as another beam of Deadly Black and Purple Lightning-ridden energy tore through the air towards the six Dragonesses headed towards the Skeleton Dragon, but they needed no warning as no matter where the Beam arced the Dragon it was near had already swerved or ducked out of the way as if knowing before-hand of where it was headed. The Dragonesses weaved through the air like leaves falling in the wind, not once pausing to think about what was needed to be done, not once hesitating in their swift dive towards the source of their vengeance. Their formation remained unbroken even as the Death energy that was carried in the arc of lightning along the beam of Destruction tickled the tips of their wings and tails.
Gloria and Yuske couldn't help but to become caught with awe as they watched a little below the area of effect as the six World-Breakers weaved around an attack that would've reduced any one of them to ash at the slightest touch. When they got close enough the first two dragonesses kept the Skeleton Dragon distracted while the other four split up to deal with different sections of the Undead animate.
The two that went to rear hovered there for a moment while the other two dived below, their size seeming to change as they weaved between foot-falls and sways of the Skeleton Dragon's neck and tail in order to reach the rib-cage where a Dark purple crystal of light pulsed like a heartbeat from within the confined of a mockery of a ribcage made of darkness and ruin. An unsaid signal passed between all six Dragonesses and they all acted simultaneously: The two keeping the Undead distracted suddenly rushed forward and rammed into the construct's shoulder bones while the two in the rear hacked at the darkness tendrils mocking that of a creature's hamstring muscles. Forcing the Skeleton Dragon backwards and onto its haunches, and providing the two sisters underneath the perfect opportunity to strike as the ribcage shifted upwards with a clearer path to the pseudo-heart the construct had.
The Dragoness' acted in unison there too: with the left one conducting several precise and surgical strikes to several sections inside and around the ribcage to clear the area of ruinous energy while the other sister literally hooked herself around the ribcage and reached through the emptied area to physically tear out the operational heart-crystal of the Skeleton Dragon.
Gloria and Yuske hadn't even gotten a chance to act as the team of six distracted and then destroyed the operational heart of the Undead Dragon within moments of encountering it. The crushed crystal remains scattered to the ground as the Dragoness having done the deed upturned her paw and dumped its contents to scatter on the forest floor. The Undead Dragon before them all shuddered violently before freezing in place and literally turning into dust before everyone's eyes. The tendrils of darkness withering and dying as the bones fell to the ground, bursting into dust upon impact, with the Skeleton Dragon's head stuck in a permeant roar of defiance until it too burst into particles of ivory dust as it impacted the ground along with the rest of it.
The six Dragonesses that had taken down the creature gathered in a loose circle around the fallen being and dipped their heads in a silent farewell, reciting the dying rites of a warrior as the dust settled.
The entire encounter hadn't even lasted five minutes before the situation had been assessed and resolved by the small group and after they'd finished their rites over the dead the World-Breakers lifted into the air and dispersed into different directions to assess the rest of the area and make sure that there were no other threats that needed to be delt with before they became a problem like that one had been.
They didn't even spare a glance towards the female Human and Beast-Kin beneath as they performed their duties as the Eternal's Imperial Guard, and the two Human Imperial Guardswomen were left speechless at the swiftness and grace at which the Dragonesses had dispatched such a powerful adversary, and so quickly too at that...
...It just meant that they just had that much more left to learn, Gloria's fighting spirit wasn't deterred by its lack of use, but rather, it was Envigored at the display of utter dominance displayed before them, and the sole thing she could think of was getting that much stronger so that she might be able to do such a thing that they had, on her own.
A few moments passed as the two of them assessed the near-by area, before Gloria used her ability to Shadow-Transport the both of them back to their Liege's side in order to explain the situation and form a better protective net around that of whom they'd sworn to protect.
"The situation has been resolved Your Greatness. It appears that the Dragon forces are as fearsome as we've heard." Yuske reported as all four took their positions around Emperor Novine to watch for attacks and potential threats.
It was at this point that the rest of the Dragon Army charged forward to follow behind the six vanguard that had swiftly delt with the Undead Dragon. They split up into groups with wings of tens of Dragons going outwards in a fan from the battle scene and half of those diving to the forest to look through the small section of forest that split the Capital from the territory of Forge.
"I want to know how such a great threat managed to get this far into the Empire as to threaten the Capital without having been noticed by any lead scouts nor been advanced upon by the Soldiers of Forge." Atticus remarked, bringing up a good point as to how a Creature as large as that hadn't been noticed, nor even an attempted warning party having been sent here by Forge as warning.
"I would like to know that as well" Gloria growled, "So I can tear out the throat of the one that overlooked this threat myself."
The Emperor looked over at her with a smirk of amusement, "Don't get too riled up there Gloria. I'm sure that Forge would've sent word if they'd noticed such a threat. Not to mention a creature of that size could easily have wiped out any advance party they'd sent, or even just outpace them regardless of how quickly they'd been sent." Gloria's claws twitched at the statement, but her aura of rage lessened somewhat in response.
"We have other problems than a subjugated threat at the moment..." Ronin's statement brought everyone's attention back to the present, where the other six World-Breakers and the Dragon Imperials floated down toward them with a flare of doubt and suspicion in their gazes.

<Sc'the>
So much was happening. I didn't know what I should focus on first:
The first being that there were so many different types of Dragons surrounding us. The entire City was surrounded by them! And I wasn't even sure if this was the entire force of my race's power or just a small part of it based on what I'd heard from my supposed father about this place being a sort of Vacation Planet...
I'd only heard of those before in my other life, and the fact that they existed in this one as well was absurd. Usually, Vacation Planets didn't have constant dangers lurking around here and there, and they definitely didn't have an army's worth of individuals that were capable of taking up arms at a moment's notice to go and siege an entire other empire!
The Second thing was that even with Aura Immunity I could still feel the potent strength of their pressure, border-lining on becoming a source of Gravitational Force actually. It was absolutely insane to think that the two gorgeous dragons above me were the two that I would be able to call blood-related Family in this world. And they were gorgeous too: both of them were gold with silver accents trailing across each of their scales upwards through their wings and seeping into the base of their horns; father seemed to be the smaller one, ironically, with a more streamlined Hunter-type body-shape like that of a wild-cat or ambush predator, and Mother was the thick one that looked like a tank made of Gold and silver plated sheets of otherworldly material.
The only differences that they had were by their auras, eyes, the color of their horns, and the fact that Mother had a sort of sock like marking that turned her feet up to the first joint into a sort of inverse of her scales: being silver and gold plated edges rather than the Gold and silver plated edges like the rest of her and Father were.
It was actually pretty funny that she was stronger than father because it made me wonder how the dynamic between the two of them was seeing that he seemed to be the one in charge, at least in public, but she had more power and thus more influence on their subjects than he likely did.
I sat there on the roof of the central area of the Palace, right net to the gigantic outdoor garden that me and Thria played in so often in the few months that I was here, just watching as things unfolded. I had thought that they'd noticed me, but after The Emperor explaining something to the two, I got a slight itch to just fly up there in interrupt things in the most mischievous way possible, but I restrained myself, and it ended up being a good thing too because not a few seconds later a giant beam of Death Energy slammed into a shield that Father and Mother were surrounded by and things kinda just went to shit from there.
Six Dragonesses went and took care of the threat, and six others stayed behind. I looked at the World Quest, still bugging me to accept it, but now that it was at 0/2 with the Lich's death having ticked down the total amount of rewards I could've gotten from it, and the penalty increased to 25% per successful kill and the same as a penalty for each missed kill I decided that it wasn't worth the risk and denied the World Quest.
I'd already successfully completed one of them, and its rewards were decent enough, so I was pretty satisfied with where I was...plus, I still had over 50000 Free Points to disseminate and even though I did away at the other twenty-five thousand earlier, I didn't want to risk injuring myself in some unseen way so remaining points would just have to wait till I could get to them during these next few weeks...maybe.
Shortly after the six insanely powerful Dragonesses had left the rest of the Dragon Army surrounding the Human Empire's Capital here also rose into the sky and started off towards where they went in a series of several sections of organized v-formations of different skills and colors of Dragons.
And did I mention that they had Armor too?
Yeah. Every. Single. Dragon in the army had either custom crafted armor that they'd gotten, or maybe even made themselves, or they had a matching work of beautifully crafted armor reminiscent of a regal army showing that they weren't just powerful, but skilled in armor and weapon-craft, but also in their own personal strength and Skill that I likely wouldn't get the chance to see anytime soon.
As they left the six other Dragonesses guarding Mother and Father spread out a little as my parents confronted The Emperor once again, with looks that looked like they were one word or small action away from razing this part of the world to the ground. I didn't imaging this was going to go very well seeing that the Empress hadn't yet shown up, but I imagined her role was to keep the people calm at the moment and try to reduce inter-species conflict. I hopped into the air and carefully rose up towards them and they started to talk:
It didn't seem too bad, with them asking of his involvement in what just happened, and why there was an Undead Dragon that had apparently been an acquaintance of Father's not too far away from the Human Empire. They then started to kinda interrogate Emperor Novine in his involvement in such events and why he hadn't been notified or having notified them of such an attack, to which he had no reason for them as it was a surprise to him too.
I found myself studying The Dragonesses circling my parents in an almost trance-like fascination: Four of them were normal Dragons, six limbs, head and horns and all, but the other two were different: one of them was a sort of half-snake like scaled monstrosity, with dark blue scales and glowing green eyes that gave them a sort of mage-like aura; the other Dragoness without wings was an exotically tiger-striped furred Drake that looked like those long fairytale book dragons that I'd seen on the cover of a few children's books, similar to some of the abandoned plushies that I'd come to see dumped into the waste-yards due to the rich pricks above discarding them due to so little as a singular broken seam.
I was actually kinda torn on which of the two I wanted to look at more: the Snake-like one with just front legs, or the long furry noodle-like dragoness that had the fur similar to that of an extinct animal I'd only ever seen in old 'save the species' videos.
In my moment lost in thought I hadn't noticed that Dragon Mother had broken away from the interrogations with Emperor Novine in favor of coming over near to me and looking at the space that I hovered. Until she was right in front of me that is...I was broken out of my thoughts by golden light of something moving in front of me. When my eyes focused back on what was actually in front of me and not on which of the two Dragonesses that I wanted to investigate I couldn't help myself but to literally pop into the entirety of the Second Layer in my freight.
"...have you noticed something?" The tiger-striped Dragoness was asking as I let the top of my head appear back into the First Layer to listen in on what was going on.
"I'm not sure..." She replied seemingly focused on the spot I'd been before turning to the Drake in question, "I am well aware of your Skill when it comes to moving between the Layers of Reality Lor'leona. However, would it be possible for something in another Layer to have snuck up on us within the time that we've been conversing with the Human?"
"I have not felt any disturbances in the nearby pools of reality, but if your Great Majesty wills I am able to temporarily reveal and entrap any being that is riding between this and the next five Layers of existence." Lor'leona admitted and my Dragon mother nodded at her to start the process and she continued to search in the area that she'd somehow sensed me at. "Apologies Great Reality Builder, but this process is one of my longer ones and it may take a few moments for any results to appear..." She then closed her eyes and started to hum a quiet tune.
The tune started off slowly, quietly, and it didn't really seem like it was doing anything, but after a few breaths I found that despite how quiet it was there was a strange feeling that was starting to encompass my entire lower body. The only part of me that wasn't still left in the First Layer, and even stranger was that even though her humming hadn't increased in volume there seemed to be a sort of depth to it. Like an unseen base of some low frequency sound that was shaking only a specific part of the house, but it was too far underground to have been found or believed.
I didn't really understand what it was she was doing, but a minute in the tone seemed to change. There was a pause in her melody and then the second she started up again her gaze seemed to snap directly to where I was, and the tone shifted from a sort of lullaby or a gentle reel to that of something that was trying to yank me out of the water like a creature fishing for a meal.
I may have overreacted here: Instead of just going to the First Layer like would've been smart I kinda-sorta popped myself back into the Second Layer and fought the process. There was also another reason I wanted to do this: I wanted to see how it was exactly that this Dragoness was controlling the other Layers like this as to force anything not in this layer to the First one so that any spies were forcefully revealed in such a manner.
It was probably a good way to disorient them too as I noticed that as I moved around in the Second Layer the space around me seemed to grow thicker and thicker, as if I was starting off on solid ground and it was slowly flooding before that flood itself turned into something akin to tar after a while.
My body was starting to burn, I'm sure that it would've been pretty painful too if I didn't have Pain Immunity, but even as the space around me was collapsing and burning away the very fur off my back I just had to figure out how this process was happening as I felt like it would be a major break-through for how I saw (Planar Shifting) and (Spatial Warp) as travel Skills. As I explored, I found out that the area that they were effecting was pretty much the size of the Palace: that mean that left, right, up, down, and the relative in/out were all being compressed into a space where the Layers of Reality sort of made a kind of interconnecting bridge as to keep both themselves and the other layers stable to keep one from unraveling and causing something akin to a collapse of reality as well as to keep the things that were on one Layer from entering another without a sort of special coating that was spread over themselves like a membrane.
It was like the passing of food particulates in a healthy cell, with the cell wall helping to keep out any bacteria and other debris other than that of viruses that kind of attached themselves to the cell wall and breached it physically to infect the material within. But this wasn't really a hostile take-over as much as it was a kind of ushering process. It was like bringing animals from one pen to another through a series of several openings along the length of a fence, but the second an animal tried to come back through the fence another invisible one activated and prevented them from crossing back over.
It was a strange feeling, and I was sure that I was getting somewhere because not only had I gained tens of levels in both of those respective Skills, but I was also gaining levels in (Elusion) and (Swimming)--ironically--as I navigated this phenomenon. I also learned that when I used the Skills, I was kind of covering myself in a membrane of either as I navigated through regular space and Dimensional Space in order to shift myself between different Layers of Existence.
So, that means that if I took what I'd learned...
I 'swam' over to the edge of Lor'leona's area of effect and touched the separating barrier locking down this entire area and dived into my Skill to feel how it felt to use (Spatial Warp) again, but slower and more deliberately this time. I activated it slowly, letting the feeling of the magic flow from my heart to my extremities and then outwards from my skin to cover my fur and being in what I now noticed was a sort of blanket of Spatial Energy that shifted according to my movements and thoughts.
I pushed a paw through the membrane watching in fascination as it shifted into something that was a kind of mix between both skills being used at once, to which they technically were as I was still within the Second Layer and not my home Layer, meaning that even though it wasn't taking any Mana to use it still meant that the Skill had to stay in an active state for as long as I was here. The two membranes met at the point where my paw was passing through the barrier and formed a kind of temporary bridge that allowed my paw to pass through the space unaffected. By using (Spatial Warp) as a catalyst the membrane that surrounded my body latched onto the barrier that was locking down this area and formed a kind of 'hole' that I could push my way through.
I felt something heating up at my tail and looked back to see that it was starting to singe at the tip, so after dealing with that by using (Chaos Protostar)'s multipurpose functions I then stepped entirely through the barrier and appeared on the other side of it perfectly fine...save for a few missing spots of fur and a slight itching sensation all over.
I looked back just as the area that was being locked down collapsed into the First Layer fully and the Tiger-furred Dragoness was watching me with wide eyes, and while I wasn't very good at reading lips I was pretty sure that she'd mumbled 'Impossible' before being slammed to the ground at Mach speeds as the four realities crashed into each other with the force greater than that of which she'd started the process. Probably due to my resistance making her have to up the power-usage to try and force me into the open.
Seeing one of their own having experienced the backlash of one of their own Skills, four of the five remaining Dragonesses shifted toward my direction in front of my Dragon Mother and the snake-like one drifted down to where Lor'leona impacted the earth, assumingly to check on and heal her.
The area was silent after that: it was just me keeping myself aloft halfway between Layers, and the flaps of the four other Dragonesses hovering in-front of my Dragon Parents...until the Dragon Empress herself spoke audibly toward me for the first time.
"I understand that you may be scared, and that you don't know what's going on, but I promise you that none of us have any deigns to harm or otherwise force you into the open little one." Her Forest Green eyes were shining with a warmth that made me feel like I wanted something, but I didn't know what it was I wanted from that gaze, and it confused me.
