Theodore was back in his room, appears sleeping. But that was further from the truth as he was back in that movie like a scene that played through his mind, though with much clarity and since this was his second time of viewing it all, but with a much faster pace, he could understand the words spoken from the start.

Theodore was met with a surprise as young mother Jade and young father Eric weren’t Theodore’s real parents when he overheard them talking in the first scene he awoke. He was entrusted to them by Eric’s father Patriarch Karl Wilde, who had sent them away for a year out of sight from prying eyes. Baby Theodore was then handed to them under their care. When asked for the identity of Theodore’s real parents the Patriarch remained silent.

Though a surprise to the old Rick, it really didn’t matter to him because he wasn’t the real Theodore either and could only sigh while muttering in his mind: “Oh gosh, this isn’t a classic tale where a missing Prince from some Kingdom would slowly rise in notoriety within a declining family. Later finds out his true identity and took claim of that Kingdom’s throne.” He disregarded it and continues watching.

 

Up to year 5 almost everything that Theodore saw and heard remained the same with a little more understanding of the Wilde Clan.

It seems the Wilde's was once a big Warlord family the Kampa family on its own 250 years ago, but was known as the ‘Kampas’ and fought for the Axe Kingdom. Due to several war achievements, the Kampas was rewarded with the heredity noble title Viscount 3^rd rank which gradually rose to Count 3^rd rank. The last title came with a piece of land within the Axe Kingdom, which was rich in various ores and gave the Kampas another venue to gain additional income.

The Kampas met its end, due to some disputes with other noble families over owner rights of several mines, which followed with a nightly assassination of the entire Kampa family in the residence and in the military. The only remaining survivor was Karl, who was in secret born that day outside the Kampa's residence and within his mother's parental home, Christine who was a servant of Kampa's residence.

They manage to find refuge in the Parsley Duchy up north as the Kampa's who often aided them with the border security between the Axe Kingdom and the Beastmen race. During that period an investigation was started in the annihilation of the Kampa family which led to 2 noble families which were named in a letter of the former 2nd Patriarch Stephan Kampa with a bag of 2 heads of known members of those families.

Later they found out that those noble families were being antagonized by spies from the Thorns Kingdom, which was confirmed by the captured and interrogated spies by the military. Those families were judged guilty for treason by the Imperial Court, their nobility titles were stripped and assets confiscated, heads of the families were executed and prominent members conscripted to the army.

All rights from the Kampa family were transferred to Karl and at 16 he would legally inherit it, till then mother Christine Wilde was legally appointed as his caregiver.

 

Some declining minor nobles saw this as an opportunity and started to form relations with the Christine Wilde and slowly the Wilde Clan was formed while Karl was still growing up.

The Wilde Clan consisted out of the Wilde, Stillard, and Barry family. They created the Council of Elders for family matters and till Karl was of age the Clan would be led by the Barry family, so they could proceed with mining the ore and selling them under the Wilde banner.

His mother was ousted a lot for decisions made in the clan, which brought dissatisfaction toward Karl. To improve faster he joined the army at 10 and trained there as a recruit too much horror of the Council, but unable to stop him. Because if he isn’t satisfied, all that they build-up could be gone in an instant as they had no claim to Kampa’s rights, they could only support him. At 12 he started with his training in Practice QI, which wasn’t the regular one but specially researched and proven by his late father 2^nd Patriarch Stephan Kampa, which would be the Wilde's secret Practice QI manual. Karl grew slowly but steadily and powerful.

At 16, he retrieved his noble title and land but kept the Wilde Clan name as he although with some dissatisfaction, was glad they supported Christine and made the Clan to what it is. He did reorganize the Clan and made sure there is a divide in family matters and operational matters.

 

Theodore's thoughts were: “So this is how the Clan was formed, yes the quickest way to grow a prominent family is to merge with several others. Though there will be a lot of friction, it all counts on benefits that Karl had an abundance of. If they could maintain their greed all would be well. Is this perhaps that the Great Elder went through all the motions to get us expelled, to guarantee that Francis or his son Phillip would take the Patriarch seat when Grandpa retires and they slowly deteriorate the pure Wilde’s influence from within?”

 

Theodore could only keep the speculations into his mind because the scene continues to move forward until he was 8. He learned that the current world is called ‘Azure Planet’, due to the bountiful vast sea.

There are only 2 continents, the largest is called Central Continent and the smaller in the far southeast of the Central Continent is named Origin Continent.

The world consists of different races; Human, Dwarven, Elven, and Beastmen race. The humans are in the majority, while the second is Beastmen then Dwarven and last the Elven.

 

Theodore shakes his head and thought: “Don’t tell me this Azure Planet is the real ‘Lord of the Rings’. Was Tolkien an alien from here? Where are the Orcs, goblins, and undead?” (1) He could only watch on.

 

According to the lessons, the relationships between all races are cold, more so against humans.  The Dwarven and Beastmen race did have some contact with humans but were merely based on trades it wasn’t that amiable.

The Beastmen were a crude bunch of folks, they lived in packs and often fought against each other. A trade with humans involves human grains for Beastmen livestock or other commodities, such as woolen blankets, woolen yarns, and the likes.

The Dwarven were good at smiting metal works to the highest quality, compared to humans. They have a fanatic fondness toward alcoholic drinks and would drink a cup from morning till before sleeping at night. Their trades were equal the same as the Beastmen, but for their metalwork.

Both fore mentioned races were described as easily hot-tempered and brutal.

 

The Elven on the other hand hated humans and would rather keep their distance from any human society. They came off as an extremely arrogant race fitted to be equal as any royal family, though beautiful in looks with their pointy ears. They by nature are extremely well versed in making nature artwork and traded it only with Royals as they were seen as equal to the Elven race.

The Elven race seems to have a great grudge towards humans, who are blamed for several missing Elves, which of course the humans denied. 

 

Learning a little about the other races, Theodore could only sympathize with them. He has watched many movies and also witnessed the same behavior happening with his own people on Earth, although not bluntly but the eyes can tell a lot. He could see the suppression of these races from the Human race as they are pushed to the far reaches in the Central Continent.

But who is he to get involved with such a delicate matter of this world? He could, for now, observe silently and grow, perhaps later he would be able to change something.

 

The subject changed into Continental matters. The Central Continent is shaped like a donut with an appendix up north and in the middle a large lake, which is connected through rivers running north and south to open seas. It’s occupied by 5 Human Kingdoms and the 3 Other Races.

The appendix up north is known as the ‘Artic Fields’ region. It’s terrible cold there, where no living beings could live. Connected to it are the territories of the Beastmen and Elven races, which is rather small compared with the territories of the Human race.

In the past, there were a lot of fights, between those races but they both are afraid to confront them in their territories. Because they had all the advantage in theirs and disadvantage if setting foot on their enemy territory, which gradually became a stalemate and soon they turn their focus on the adjacent territory to their south. Adjacent to the Beastmen and Elven race is the Human Axe Kingdom, which is currently ruled by King Albert Axe.

Throughout history, the Elves and Beastmen tried to invade the Axe Kingdom, multiple times. But through pacts within the Human race, support came swiftly from the neighboring to East, Oden Kingdom, and, to the South, the Thorns Kingdom which drove the Beastmen and Elven race back to their own territories.

Gradually the Axe Kingdom had built huge walls to prevent those races from invading their lands. The Kingdom didn’t stop there and continued building walls on the East and South border, preventing the neighboring citizens and merchants from Oden and Thorns Kingdoms to freely move around in the Axe Kingdom.

This is where the dispute between Axe and Thorns Kingdoms started. The Human race quelled the Beastmen and Elven race desire for expansion by offering trades for reasonable prices, which they accepted, and ‘peace’ was brought to that region. But since the Axe Kingdom had built walls to the South and East, the Axe Kingdom charged taxes on all incoming goods into their Kingdom brought in by merchants from Thorns and Oden.

Oden wasn’t much concerned as their main business was in commodities, but Thorns has vast areas of fertile lands, which became the number one Kingdom in agriculture business. At first, they were very pleased with the pact between Human, Beastmen, and Elven race. But this all changed when those walls were built and the Axe Kingdom charged them with taxes, to which their merchant needed to pay double and sometimes triple of it. The costs of the merchandise increased a lot and wouldn’t be profitable for those merchants.

And soon war broke out between Axe and Thorns Kingdom, which lasted until about 20 years ago where the Axe Kingdom finally dropped its taxes on merchants from other Kingdoms.

 

The Dwarven race territory lies south in the mountain bordering the Thorns Kingdom. The other remaining 2 Human Kingdoms are the Adder Kingdom in the Southeast which adjacent Thorns, in between the Adder and Oden Kingdoms is the Silken Kingdom. The Adder Kingdom is known for its potion making and the Silken Kingdom for its fabrics.

And the Origin Continent, which was even smaller than any Kingdom on the Central Continent, is ruled by the Rade Kingdom which is known for its fishery and naval fleet.

 

The rest of Theodore suppressed memories are the lessons in, combat training, noble etiquette, and other lessons, which the new Theodore took it all in like water poured on a dried-up sponge. His mind became sharper and with the aid of the Spatial Server all knowledge became easier accessible, like someone with a photographic memory but requires just one thought and all the information is sent to his mind.

 

Soon Theodore woke up and felt that his mind was all cleared up. It felt like hours has passed and couldn’t help but ask: “Spacey, how long was I out?” Spacey answers: “About 15 minutes, how do you feel?”

Theodore says: “I'm feeling great for the first time, though the body feels just a little tight, that can’t be helped. I’ll do some stretch exercises then I’ll meet up with the family later on. It should be near dinner time, anyways.” He jumps out of bed and started stretching to loosen up his muscles.

Theodore continues: “This Azure Planet seems promising. I can see potential in its development, though I wonder why they stopped developing technology and science. Almost all are based on magic formations and magic crystals, which is quite pricey. It’s no wonder that the lower class stands no chance against the Royals and Nobles.”

Spacey answers: “Well TJ, it’s basically the same as on Earth when humans found crude oil, all the engines were created to run through some sort of diluted form of oil for many centuries and still are, umm I am not sure now but 80 years ago they still were.”

“The humans in control of drilling it out of the ground, distilling to refine and separate it into numerous consumer products, from gasoline (petrol) and kerosene to asphalt and chemical reagents used to make plastics, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals. (2) Are basically the same people, or friends of friends, from start to the finished products. Just like on Earth, here is the same."

"Humans see benefits from the goods they currently selling and don’t bother with the aftereffects until it’s too far gone. Look at Earth’s climate change, there are several disputes on top government level G8 discussing the cause of it, while renowned experts and scientists clearly pointed out the facts. Then suddenly another mysterious scientist comes and refutes those facts and all is open for another round of debates."

“Humans are afraid to lose their benefits and much older generations are afraid of change. The same goes for the lower class of this Azure Planet. They are neglected, given the hardest chores to carry out. They are starved in food and in knowledge so they aren’t able to set their mind on revolting, overthrowing the current Anarchy system. It’s all about benefits, which usually leads to tunnel vision.”

“I hope you, TJ, will turn back to your open-minded personality back then when you were young and see there are plenty of possibilities in the world to solve issues.”

 

Theodore stops his exercise and says: “Yes, Spacey so true. It’s all about benefits and to fill the pockets of the richest, without taking a glance around them. Though I agree that open-mindedness is necessary, I still need to be extremely cautious. Not only for myself but also for you Spacey! As you said before we are unique and who doesn’t want such an isolated space in their own possession. Capturing and imprisoning us is currently not hard to do.”

“Those we can trust are currently them in this house as we are bounded by years of living with each other and also the Holy potion, but I’ll emphasize to them that no word of it will be spoken here in the outside world after our chat. Jenna and Maggie are currently old enough to understand how to keep a secret.”

“Thanks, Spacey, I won’t fall into a depression that swiftly and have learned from my past mistakes. Let’s move on.”

Spacey answers: “Affirmative!” Theodore shakes his head and softly mumbles: “Can’t you be more imaginative instead of such a robotics response. Say like “Roger that”, “Yo, bro”, ahh well nevermind. I like your jokes though, biohazard kid, grrr.” He continues on with his stretch exercises.

 

Spacey’s inner thoughts: “It seems that Rick truly accepted Theodore's life, perhaps subconsciously drawn by Theodore memories. But it’s all good because the sooner he accepts this new life, the faster we can move on and adjust our current situation we are in.”

“I’ll watch over you Theodore and make sure you don’t fall into your old depressed self again.”

 

Done with stretching, Theodore says to Spacey: “It’s time to meet up with the others, perhaps a shower and a change of clothes before dinner. Let’s see where it all is.” He walks to the door opened it and went straight to the living room.

 

Eric and Bruce were currently sitting there, discussing what kind of crops they should plant. Bruce who faced the hallway sees Theodore coming towards them and is extremely surprised, he jumps up and asks: “Theodore, you’re doing well!” Theodore answers: “Yes, that nap did me some good, thanks, Uncle Bruce!”

Eric with his back to the hallway turns around and sees Theodore walking so lively. Just about 2 hours ago, he was weak and fast out of breath. And couldn’t help but ask: “Son, you didn’t take something, did you? Are you sure you’re doing alright?”

Theodore laughs and says: “Dad, you’re not thinking I am about to die and this is my last build up strength, do you? Trust me, I am fine. And to be honest, I did take something, but it’s pure natural!”

Eric hit his own forehead and says: “Your clothes are in a bag in my room, the shower is at the end of the hallway, to the left of your room. I’ll walk with you. Jenna and Maggie are currently sleeping and it’s about time they need to wake up.”

Bruce looks at Eric and says: “I’ll start setting up the dining table.” Eric says: “I’ll be right back to help a hand after waking up the girls.”

 

 

Author tries to explain:

• 1)  Lord of the Rings Trilogy released on 2001, 2002 and 2003 one of the most influential film series ever made at that time period and still is. The novel I am writing does resemble LotR as setting in a cold weapons and magic world, but I am still unsure if I am truly going that direction or the other which I have in mind.... but all paths are still open.
• 2) Some text quoted from Wiki article about "Petroleum".

 

With this chapter I've opened 5 directions where this story will go. Although these won't necessary be the main storyline, but they will be handled each with great detail in future volumes / chapters. This to give you an idea where this story is going in the coming volumes / chapters, but not until a small volume next about his growth.

Yes, this volume Transmigration is about the end. And later today, will be followed with chapter 11 and epilogue as the closing of this Volume. Stay tuned!
