Hello guys, Kekw here, I woke up this morning with a lot of questions in my private ScribbleHub inbox about some things related to the novel, and for some reason I just thought it might be good to have a proper place where people can ask me, the Author, some questions related to the novel if you are curious about anything or confused about something in case you are having trouble following the story or anything like that.

Also you can even come back to this chapter and leave a question down in the chapter comments anytime you like, and I will update this chapter to have your question on it.

"For writing a Demon Lord novel, you've been surprisingly doing pretty well so far, what made you pick Gluttony out of the Seven Deadly Sins even though some people would consider Pride to be a more fitting Sin for Rei considering her attitude that won't take shit from anybody?"

Well, tbh, the Gluttony demon lord thing just came up as an idea after I finished the JP novel 'Girl Who Ate a Death God', and I just thought it'd be really cool if the main character could get stronger by eating, but with the growth rate being not as rapid as the main character from Re: Monster, which takes skills from anything he eats, since if Rei had an ability like that then she wouldn't really struggle with doing anything which would then make the novel uninteresting.

And also because I already planned for somebody else to take the title of the Demon Lord of Pride too, but that's a story for another time.

"When creating the general character that is Rei, what did you have in mind when designing her?"

As an avid admirer of the isekai genre, I noticed a supreme lack of anything unique in the new generation of the newer works, it all just seemed as repetitive as CN cultivation novels which just made me so pissed because people started to look down on the isekai subgenre as being generic and overused, which kind of is considering how easy it is to whip up a garbage isekai but I won't really get into that.

All the main characters of the newer isekai light novels and mangas just seemed so bland and 2D, not living up to the more unique ones like Hakai no Miko and other novels being buried by trash titles with little more to their name than beta male simp main characters made OP by the incompetent God that messed up.

An average plain highschool boy who had nothing and was a nobody was reincarnated into a fantasy world, where he got everything and became a somebody, and then started to be a hero for the sake of the greater good, that is what I thought was the normal pattern of the average isekai.

And being me, I got bored of repetitive things fast.

So what I decided to do when I made Rei, is just to be the opposite of that.

A highschool girl who excelled at anything and had everything was reincarnated into a fantasy world, where she was robbed of her everything and became a nobody, and then becomes a thorn in the side of humanity for the sake of her greater selfishness.

"Is there no Adventurer's Guild?"

No, there is no adventurer's guild because that bullshit has been used as a plot point for so many novels that my hand is struggling to even type out the words.

"What are Rei's three sizes?"

Omg you damn degenerates, that's not really my info to give out but I guess I will anyways despite the danger.

"Will there be some sort of nemesis who will serve as the thorn in Rei's side throughout her military career? Like a great enemy with the same amount of cunning or talent that Rei has who Rei will fight for a few battles after she graduates from the Imperial Officer School through few tens of chapters and make Rei lose some battles which even she was sure she would win?"

The idea is very promising, I could do well with that and am actually having a few ideas in mind for what kind of character it will be and how they will always be the bane of Rei's perfect winning record. Though it is likely that I will add in such a character in the French, Switz, or Belgian side, that is still susceptible to change so please do forgive me.

"I saw that there was a Yuri tag on your novel? So who's the lucky girl? And when do we actually get in some action??"

Fucking horny do-- You know what, I'm just gonna say it right now.

The Yuri doesn't begin after a hundred or so chaps, and no it's not with Anny.

"Will Rei just be using a sword throughout the novel, or will she be using multiple weapons throughout the course of Unsightly Gluttony considering she's 'talented' as you say?"

Rei will also be using axes, maces, glaives, spears, cannons, trebuchets, biological warfare, and terrorist tactics. One needs to have variety after all!

"Can Rei replicate any technique upon seeing it once?"

The answer for that is, it's complicated.

Of course, with Rei having no magic she can't copy a move like [Fireball] or [Flight], however some select magic-related techniques that require the use of magic augmentation(Eg: using magic to strengthen your body) can be copied using her very delicate manipulation of Aether.

And even if she can copy the technique, she'd have to have the appropriate stats to actually execute it, just like needing a shit ton of strength to execute one of the Grand Executioner's moves.

And also if it's a technique that requires for her to sacrifice her arm or something that she's copied, she will have to sacrifice the arm too because that's part of the skill she's copied.

"How did you come up with the novel title?"

I was reading halfway in through the KR novel called Second Coming of Gluttony when I was intrigued by the way they put in a bad adjective next to each of the 7 virtues, and then just took out "Unsightly" from "Unsightly Humility" and just took out my favorite sin which was Gluttony since I ever finished the JP novel "Girl Who Ate a Death God".

Pretty simple matter really.

"This seems pretty weird, but why do all of the 4 Demon Lords in Rei's mind pub all have their names start with Rei? Is it a coincidence or--"

It's coincidence, next question please!

"Wait, 4 Demon Lords? I thought there were only 3?"

Uhhhh, sorry, the signal is getting bad, I'm going through a tunnel, I can't hear you.

"What made you want to start writing?"

It's simply because I ran out of stuff to read and it was about time I started writing a story of my own so they can have an extra novel to read! Also because there are just all these ideas inside my head that I want to share with everybody here!

"What's Rei's surname? Though it was quite cool of you to introduce her without a last name in Chapter 1 I just have a hard time believing that she could get through any legal processes without giving out any sort of family name."

It's true that I didn't include this in the beginning chapters because I wanted to give her an air of mystery, but that's actually just because I haven't thought of a suitable name for her yet!

But now that its been many months since the release of the first chapter I found the perfect thing that would suit her well!

赤城 麗 (Akagi Rei)

Rei being spelled like the Rei in "Kirei" which is japanese for beautiful, and then Akagi meaning "Red Castle".

"When does Rei get to the front lines?"

We get there when Rei graduates, which is somewhere between in about 10 to 20 chapters.
