The iguana headed woman runs to the nurse, ignoring me before suddenly remembering I exist, grabbing me by the hand and dragging me along. We enter through a red wood door behind the nurse's counter, moving down a large hallway to a room on the left.

The building is quite similar to a small children's clinic on earth, though the walls are an ugly yellow and there are no kinda creepy paintings spread across the walls. Small white circular stones are embedded into the roof, shining a slight light, acting the same as a normal lightbulb.

[???: Mom?]

He looks to the iguana headed woman, then towards me expressing more shock with his stiff lizard face than he did seeing his terrified mom. His mom just silently stares at him, ignoring his sudden change in expression.

That reminds me his name was Moira right? The mom's name is supposed to be Leir I think? Honestly, if it weren't for her thick dress I would assume the mother was a father.

[Moira: Mom, glare at me all you wish but I will continue to refuse. I will continue working towards becoming a true blood Myer!]

Did that thing just say my name? No, that's impossible. I think? Maybe Oliver did something.

[Lier: Son, I please ask that you try to understand. I simply do not wish to lose you like your father. Why not work to be a simple mercenary or merchant? Why become a Myer?]

Leir gently hugs the young lizard man resting on his wood and wool cushioned bed, trying her best to speak, her quivering voice and tear-filled eyes making her message clear.

[Moira: Mom. Please. I'm begging you. just let me try.]

[Lier: You tried and look what happened!]

Suddenly Lier let's go of her son, moving to slap him but stopping the moment she raises her hands. Moria covers his face. Seeing this she stops, sighing hard, continuing to glare at Moir instead.

[Moira: ...Mom, I'm fine. The medic said Other than my arm, everything is fine.]

[Lier: What do you mean? What happened to your arm!]

[Moira: ...Mom...just allow me some time to think. If you can, will you please let me rest for today. Please leave my golem here.]

Lier tries to speak, stuttering several times before she can even form a single word. In the end, she decides to give up, leaving the room, most likely moving to the waiting room outside.

[Moira: Can you please give your master my thanks for saving me?]

I don't know what this kid is talking about but in the end, I decide to just act like a faithful servant.

[Richard: Sure.]

[Moira: Thank you very much kind golem. This may be rude but I have another request I would like fulfilled. If possible would you be willing to listen? You can refuse of course.]

[Richard: Fire away.]

[Moira: Fire away? Is something on fire!?]

[Richard: Ah, my bad. What I meant to say was ask me whatever you want.]

I forgot that my usual talk probably won't work so I ended up accidentally scaring him with my slang speak. I can understand and speak with almost anything but there's still the issue of slang and dialects and such.

[Moira: Thank you kind golem. I must say you speak Lycan quite well!]

Lycan huh? After three years of burying bodies, finding the remains of titans and dragons I shut down my brain, so learning I know another language isn't really all that shocking. Though I am a little curious about how I'm speaking a language I don't know. In the end I decided to just leave it alone and chalk it up to another weird part of my body.

[Richard: Just ask me what you want already and if you can, will you please quite talking so formal.]

[Moira: If you wish. Can you please tell me who made you? What were you modeled after? How many commands do you hold? As a golem researcher and future Myer you interest me quite a bit. Your movements are smooth, without any delay! You are capable of advanced speech and you possess enough combat capability to fend off a fully grown Antarath!]

[Richard: Yes?]

I have no clue what the hell the kid is talking about so I just nod and agree.

[Moira: Ah, I'm sorry sir. I may have become a small bit too excited. Is there anything mister would like as a gift?]

[Richard: A mask and the longest robe you have.]

Without any hesitation, I decide I might as well use this opportunity to get a disguise.

[Moira: Of course. We can leave after the medic releases me. It should be just a few hours.]

[Richard: What about your mom kid?]

Suddenly the lizard's smile disappears, replaced by a slight frown as silence fills the empty room. After several minutes of awkward silence, the lizard speaks.

[Moira: Mister golem, do you think I can become a good Myer?]

[Richard: It depends on how much work you put in. If you wanna do it and be a good one too, you better be ready to work your bones off.]

If there's one thing I've learned in life it's that even the untalented can go as far as the talented with effort. Though it does take a lot longer.

[Moira: ...Thank you.]

The lizard boy smiles. Honestly, he creeps me out like all fuck with that lizard human abomination of a face but he reminds me of one of my old students so I should try to get over this feeling.

[Moira: Mister golem, can you stay for a little while?]

[Richard: That was the plan. After all, how am I going to get that robe and mask you promised. That and you look like a good source of money.]

Slowly the day passes, the sunlight passing through the window above the lizard man's head growing dimmer every second. Soon enough night comes.

[Richard: So your name's Moira huh?]

[Moira: Yes, mister. If you want you can just call me Moi.]

[Richard: Thanks. I have to say it's quite interesting to see a beastman in person.]

Suddenly Moi puts on an expression of pure rage. He tries to calm down but fails so I decide to apologize, though I have no idea what to call him. I kinda just went with the first thing that came to mind.

[Richard: I'm very sorry for whatever I may have done wrong!]

Suddenly Moi puts on an expression of pure shock. I have to say for someone with a lizard head he's quite expressive.

[Moira: It is fine, I just ask that you not use that word around me or my people. I do not know where you come from but you should know that the term beastman is the same as saying my people are only slightly above a savage beast.]

[Richard: .....Seriously I'm very sorry.]

Things go silent once again until a mostly human lizard man wearing a blue robe and cover walks in, telling Moi what he should do to fix his arm and when to return. He gives Moi some yellow papers to then.

After everything is done Moi is released. We both move to the lobby, finding that his mom is not there. In the end, we move to the commercial district to buy a mask for me. Apparently the commercial district is split up into several different sections. Hotel area, produce area, tourist area.

[Moira: Which one would you like mister?]

In front of me is a small wood booth with various masks, jewelry, and clothes guarded by two wolf dolls, or is it golems? Honestly, none of the masks look good to me. The paint job is pretty rough, the masks are carved rather poorly, and the wood seems aged. In the end, I choose a flat round mask painted to look like a smiling dragon.

[Salesman: That will be twenty Dia.]

Moi begins to reach into his torn pockets, putting on an expression of regret and sadness after a few seconds. He looks at me, nodding. Even with his lizard face, I know when someone is telling me to run like all hell.

And so we run. The dolls try to chase us but Moi ends up smacking them so hard they end up flying. I wonder how hard it is to move his giant hands? The vendor begins to scream, various dolls appear, chasing us he continues to scream.

Moi, with his eyes shining a bright blue, picks me up princess carry style and jumps onto a nearby roof. The light in his eyes begins to spread, forming various vein-like patterns across his body. We continue to run, various bird-like dolls similar to the monster whose eye I punched before following us.

Occasionally they open their beaks, revealing a small stone. A bright light shoots out of the mouth of each doll, missing each time. Before they can hit anything they explode, forming massive nets. Even so, Moi Continues to dodge every last shot.

[Moira: Mister can you help me eliminate these golems?]

Before I can even respond, Moi tosses me to one of the dolls. I panic but still manage to grab onto the lowest wing on its left. I want to curse the kid out but at the moment I'm more concerned with surviving.

I try to move to the exposed wing joint on it's back but it's a lot more difficult to move since this thing is just wood. There are no feathers to latch onto. In the end, I start wildly punching the thing with my right arm. It fails. I messed up and ended up getting my arm removed by the wing above me. I begin to panic, wondering how the hell I'm going to survive this. The mid panic I notice that the thing's wing seems to be shrinking. I look to my chest and see that the wood it's made off is being absorbed, my arm regrowing as its wing grows thinner and thinner.

[Richard: Ha, eat that bitch!]

Suddenly the wing I'm hugging falls off the doll's body. Luckily before I can crash Moi grabs me mid-fall. It looks like he destroyed every other doll.

[Moira: Alright mister, let us visit my home so we can get you that robe.]

He smiles, running towards the center of the city.
