Sorryyyyyyyy
*bows*
Well... this novel is being rewritten now...
So kinda dropped? but Erina will return~
I have a few reasons why I'm doing this...
1st... The beginning is literal sh*t, I don't know how any of you readers made it past the beginning... but props to you~!! But because of this beginning, I feel like I'm losing a ton of readers... so yeah...
2nd... My book has been blacklisted on Webnovel... and has been for a while if you didn't know, that's why you can't vote with powerstones. Because of this, my motivation has been in the dumps...
Why is my book blacklisted?
Well, to say it shortly, Webnovel.
To say it a bit longer, Webnovel wanting me to have a contract. (It's the current theory at least right now). So I was actually approached for a contract from Webnovel, and being innocent and naive, I began the process of signing one. However, halfway through I managed to get my hands on a preview contract, which made me realize how sketchy the contract I would sign actually was... (Other authors might have different contracts) Realizing that the contract was sketch as f*ck, and there was no way to back out, I've been perpetually halfway through the contract process. So I'm pretty sure Webnovel has blacklisted this novel to incentivize me to sign the contract.
For your info, here's how the contract was a bit sketch...
(I'm deleting the details because apparently I might not be allowed to share them... sorrryyyyyy)
So yeah... I'll be rewriting this novel under a different name I think... Don't worry, the chapters I've already posted won't be deleted, so you can always come back a read some more I guess...
All the characters will still be the same, most of the plot too... I'll just be fixing it up in general, so look forward to that~!
I'll post another update here once I start posting my rewrite...
I wanna cry... just writing this is hard...
Go read my other book if you want... it's also pretty good...
Come to my discord... we have a lot of people there... and you can talk to me...
*sniff sniff*
Well... hopefully I'll see your beautiful faces once more... but if not... it's been a lovely time... and farewell...
Yeah never sign the rights to novel away if anything only a small% and the compensation thing that's a no to many loop holes, none of that till it's been published. Web novels gets all benefit and u all the risk screw that.
Lol, that's a great emoji~!
Thanks for commenting~!
Sorry to hear that you had to go through that with webnovel. I would recommend everyone avoids webnovel they have been known to be like that for a long time with authors and don't have the most reader friendly stance either.
And don't worry to much about having to rewrite the story everyone has to start somewere and even many good authors end up modifying the beginning as they go on.
Thanks for the comment and the good wishes~!!
Yeah, Webnovel contracts... aren't great. There's a few authors for wich it seem to work out fine but they are a minority.
Yeah...
Thanks for the comment and reading all this time though~!
Yeah, Webnovel in general seems shady as heck. At least you got out before signing everything away
When you do the rewrite make sure you check that you can still use the character names, plot, and such. I’ve seen some mention from people who’ve dealt with them and know more about it than I do that the reason some authors don’t take their story and continue it elsewhere or write a sequel to it is because they don’t own the rights to that setting, characters and story anymore, having signed those over to Webnovel or some other website owner company
yeah~ I didn't actually sign anything so I should be good~~
@Esyix Huzzah! fortunately you were able to bail out before being enslaved by webnovel. I shall be waiting for the re-write.
@Sabruness Yeah~!!
Thanks for the comment and good wishes~!!
looking forward to the rewrite. I was, unfortunately, one of the ones that couldn't make it through the beginning so i just planned to binge the whole thing once i got time.
good job on not signing the contract though, totally not worth it.
Yeah it's fine~ thanks for the comment though~
The contract is totally worth it for those who wish to earn from their writing and are passionate about it.
Proper diligence and effort are needed for the contract and your novel popularity to flourish, but literally anyone can do it.
Stop being so biased against WebNovel... it brings a lot of help for a ton of authors, especially newbie ones that cannot easily get a fanbase to pay them thousands through patreon.
Aww poor Esyix let it all out. We will await your writing with baited breathe.
Thanks Lionessa...
*hugs*
I see this innocent act you put on in public tho...
@Esyix What ever could it be you speak of dear author ?
@Lionessa
Kinda funny seeing the essays trying to defend we novel, and kinda proves the authors point for him. If nothing shady was going on then why would webnovel authors be sooooo desperate to make the author look like the bad guy, hum?
Damn, yeah. The comments of people defending WebNovel are SUPER weird to read. Like, who the hell goes to bat THAT hard for some random ass site?
Edit: I guess they get paid off the site, but... still. Why bother...? Are they, like, forced to defend the site when they come across people who are skeptical about it or something?
I loved the beginning of the story it was unique :)
About webnovel just ditch them... I mean if they blacklist a novel based on a smiley or a non-english character they're insane and by protecting their shitty site with paid henchmen... come on it's worse than some entitled young master rutine....
Thanks for the kind wishes~!
And even more, Thanks for reading~!
Slave contract lol
Yeah it was... Thanks for the comment and good wishes~!
It is not a slave contract, and it can generate way more than $200. If you properly arrange a stockpile of chapters through time and effort, you can take a lot of free days throughout the week while still publishing daily chapters.
A lot of authors still get even higher incomes without even publishing every day as well, the $200 is just an incentive, but if anyone is diligent enough, they can get even more through effort.
This work is obviously not for kids that cannot even get a schedule right and keep on procrastinating.
Err... the reason your novel was 'blacklisted' from the power stone ranking is that you put on a lot of Japanese or Chinese characters in your author notes and in some titles.
This is something that WN does automatically to fight against spammers that publish books in different languages and such, so they don't appear in the power stone ranking. You should join the WebNovel discord and kindly ask for help instead of antagonizing WebNovel, their contracts are fair and you should read them properly to know in what you're getting into.
A lot of writers work every day there and gain the monthly sustenance to keep on living.
Your attitude and that of several people in this comment section are extremely biased and without proper sources to base them off, all of them are just assuming them from the biased readers perspective, because WN lock chapters behind so authors can actually make a living without having to accumulate years of fanbase for that.
WN actually helps us feel as our work and effort is worth a dime, and you and the rest of the people here just keep crapping on our work place as if it were literally hell incarnate.
@PancakesWitch, I'm glad you're not letting your education get in the way of your ignorance. Did you read Esiyx's book before you rushed here to defend WN's face...Does WN's contract bind you so much that you have to jump platforms to defend them? Did they promise a promotion for your books on WN or throw in some extra scraps the next time they pay you if you defend them? Because finding two famous WN authors here on the same day, with ScribbleHub accounts no more than a few days old, sprouting the same bs to a newbie author sounds too sketchy to be a coincidence.
Err... the reason your novel was 'blacklisted' from the power stone ranking is that you put on a lot of Japanese or Chinese characters in your author notes and in some titles.
Esiyx has no Japanese or Chinese characters anywhere-_- Please read their book and check it's update schedule before commenting something like this.
p.s. I'm sorry if this was something you HAD to do because you're a successful "contracted" author on WebNovel and I understand the need to defend them because they pay you but you don't have to be an ass by being passive aggressive
@TheLostMushroom Chapter's 35 title - It contains non-english characters. This is one of the ways to get blacklisted on webnovel. All it takes to get it removed, is to fix your story and a single request to one of the Content Editors. But I get it, fck the logic, fck the reality, someone gave you a chance to rant against webnovel, so you gonna take it even if the reality proves that guy wrong? So then you will call those who actually know what's going on a bunch of negative writers? We are not rushing here to defend webnovel. We are coming here because we are tilted by how entitled the author of this novel is. And I'm not one of people that while being spat at, will wonder what kind of nature's miracle causes rain in a sunny day.
As to what you wrote, first part of your bs is nothing but condescending. I wonder where does your info about contracts and its provisions come? I guess you are one of the idiots thinking that their one-dimensional harem MC is somewhat original. Don't worry, we had a fair share of entitled kids like that on the discord, so it's no wonder the author above did not appear on it. I guess he was most likely sewed out before getting verified.
For the second part though?
Sprouting the same bs? - It's pretty simple. The rules on webnovel are simple. Some stuff works the way it does because of certain reasons. If someone will twist that reality into something extremely insulting, do you expect us to just accept the fact that some kid will spread even more disinformation.
Or let me put it in easier way - Why lashing at webnovel (when you are in the wrong) is okay, but defending it is not? Crowd bullies mentality much?
@motivatedsloth The Author's note in chapter 30 mentioned that they stopped receiving powerstones, Its been the same ever since but you're pointing at something from chapter 35.
We are not rushing here to defend webnovel. We are coming here because we are tilted by how entitled the author of this novel is.
I can eat a bowl of alphabet soup and sh*t an argument better than that...Like seriously, You somehow landed on the last chapter of this book on the first day you opened an account on ScribbleHub?
I guess you are one of the idiots thinking that their one-dimensional harem MC is somewhat original.
The author of a novel with a one-dimensional harem MC saying this is the same as the pot calling the kettle black-_-
@TheLostMushroom um, yes it does, the emojis that he did... those like, " (´◕ ◡ ◕`)
" do count, as they are made with Japanese characters... it has happened to other books as well, they only needed to ask a mod or in the forums to resolve the issue.
