Yun Bei Fen looked up at him questioningly, clearly not knowing what was going on. "Do you know her?" He felt like he had never seen this woman at their sect but that didn’t have to mean anything. Mei Chao Bing had been outside a lot as well. Maybe he had met her there.

Mei Chao Bing shook his head and gently rubbed Yun Bei Fen’s hand to calm him down. "No, I’m just guessing." Although, while he might’ve never seen the red priest he had met the black warrior, and since all of them had some type of color in their names, he figured that this blue robe might be a tell-tale sign of her identity so he was pretty sure.

The woman indeed inclined her head, showing that he had been right with his assumption. She was indeed blue butterfly.

Even though Mei Chao Bing had been pretty sure, he still did heave a sigh of relief. Then, he immediately cupped his fists and bowed. "Greetings, senior blue butterfly. I assume there was a reason you pulled us this into this … dream?" He wasn’t completely sure how to refer to her or to this illusion they were in but he figured that if she didn’t like it, she would tell him. She looked like the type who was easy to get along with.

Yun Bei Fen still didn’t know what was going on but he just followed Mei Chao Bing’s lead and cupped his fists as well, although he didn’t call out and just blinked his eyes at her cutely.

Blue butterfly laughed in return. "Well, don’t bother about formalities. We are on the same side. And yes, I did have a reason." She turned to look at Mei Chao Bing and then made to sit down, a chair suddenly appearing behind her.

Mei Chao Bing looked at it, wondering how exactly his ability of hers worked. Was she able to just conjure things up from her mind so they would appear? If that was the case and their enemies had the same ability, that was bad. Well, that was in case they could get injured in these illusions which he wasn’t sure about- That was one more thing he’d have to find out about.

Blue butterfly leaned back, and even pulled up a leg, propping her ankle up on the other knee, clearly making herself comfortable. Then, she pulled out a flask of wine and motioned for the two of them to sit down as well.

Yun Bei Fen couldn’t help but look behind them and made a sound of surprise when a pair of chairs appeared there as well. He looked up at Mei Chao Bing who gently nodded in response and the two of them indeed took a seat.

Seeing that everyone was comfortable now, blue butterfly took a sip of wine and then gave a hum. "You went to talk to your sect’s guardian today, didn’t you?"

Mei Chao Bing nodded, reaching out to hold Yun Bei Fen’s hand again. "I did. I was asking some questions about the guardians and their abilities. We have reason to believe that the other side might have gained some of them."

She nodded, not looking surprised at all. "You might not know but we are able to contact each other through the platforms in the sects. After you left, he reached out to me and give me a rundown of what happened and what you’ve come to know. So I’m very well aware of what is going on. And I figured that you might have some questions. So, go ahead and ask!"

Mei Chao Bing stared at her, not sure what to make of this. She … had pulled him into this vision together with Yun Bei Fen just to answer his questions, without even being asked to do so? This was a bit too good to be true, wasn’t it?

Blue butterfly saw that he was hesitating and couldn’t help but click her tongue. "Aiya, what is it with the younger generation of today? Why are you so suspicious?"

Mei Chao Bing raised his brows, not sure if she actually wanted an answer or not. In the end, he still spoke up, feeling that this conversation wouldn’t move forward if he didn’t. "Well, my own Master betrayed the sect." Anyway, if he wasn’t suspicious, then who should be?

Blue butterfly pursed her lips but had to admit that this was actually a pretty good reason. "Ah, to think that there would ever be a day when I would have to explain myself to a junior …

"But I guess I can see why you’d think like this. In the current situation, what isn’t odd? So, what do I need to do for you to believe me that I am who I say I am and that I really have good intentions?"

Mei Chao Bing looked at her with a complicated expression, not sure how to answer that. He didn’t know anything about blue butterfly so it was difficult to make a judgment on whether she was the real one. But either way, so far, she hadn’t done anything that indicated that she had bad intentions. He should probably believe her.

He cleared his throat and then shook his head. "No, senior doesn’t need to do that. It’s just … I’m a little surprised why you would pull us over like this. Especially the two of us." Either way, he could understand her wanting to see him. But why Yun Bei Fen?

If there was somebody else that would have been a good idea to get in touch with, then that person would have been his little bunny’s third senior martial brother, right? After all, Luo Lin had somehow gained some of the abilities of the red priest. That was something that might make a talk necessary. Yun Bei Fen though? He didn’t see a reason for that. Unless there was something that he still didn’t know.

Blue butterfly just casually shrugged her shoulders though. "Well, you were the one that went to see the black warrior so I wanted to talk to you. As for him …" She looked at Yun Bei Fen, and then rubbed her chin. "Well, I needed a good place to set up the meeting and he had the perfect dream ready for it. In fact, you even would have appeared inside of it. That way, it’s easier to pull you in since I don’t need to make any space for you. I figured it was a good idea."

At that, Mei Chao Bing couldn’t help but feel that he had really thought too much. This kind of thing, he probably should’ve expected it.
