Walking out of the forest alone. Vincent's eyes were cold as he came back to the camp.

Looking at the sky with his unfocused eyes, Vincent muttered in a low voice.

"Titan Shifters… Since I know it now. My plan has to be altered."

Afterward, thanks to the Survey Corps and the Garrison engineers' quick response, Wall Rose had once again repelled the Titans' advance.

An entire day was required to eradicate the Titans from Trost District, with the wall's fixed cannons firing around the clock. High explosive shells annihilated the majority of the Titans swarming the wall, and the Survey Corps eliminated the few that remained. 

The unexpected appearance didn't make the Humans afraid, but instead proud, that they make it retreat beyond the walls. Fleeing in sorry states. But, the Survey Corps was not happy about that as most of the people that followed it; the Armored Titan were either dead or retreated in fear of getting swarmed by outside Titans.

With this, the Survey Corps was further convinced to eliminate them. Furthermore, a 4-meter class and 7-meter class Titan was captured alive. Making them a test subject on how to kill the Armored and Colossal Titan and find their weaknesses. 

On the other hand, 208 soldiers were killed or missing in action, and another 897 were injured. 

Repelling the Titans for the first time in history was a noteworthy feat, but simply far too many 

lives had been lost to allow for celebration.

Walking around the deserted place of Trost. Blood can be seen across the streets. Many mangled bodies of who knows who were just sitting around, everywhere.

Seeing the damage the Titans made. Vincent's decision of doing and his further plan get solidified. 

Walking towards a dead body, Vincent could see the horror on the guy's face. 

The dead bodies need to be gathered and burned, to avoid any pandemic or virus spreading around. 

*Sizzle*

Looking in front of him, and seeing one by one, bodies being stockpiled. Vincent couldn't help but sigh. 

'They were good soldiers, but they don't have even a proper burial'.

The world is cruel, Vincent knows that and certainly will remember. 

Annie, Reiner, and Bertholdt's whereabouts were unknown as everyone was numb enough to know.

They couldn't even properly recognize the people, much less know who and where they died.

But, Marco knows that Annie is alive. He didn't tell that to anybody, and just watched Vincent from far away.

"Marco… I'm joining the Survey Corps". Jean said that towards Marco, as Marco looked at him in surprise. 

"... I thought you're joining the Military Police?"

"Yeah, I thought so… but, when I see the people I know get eaten by Titans… I just can't take it and live freely in the Inner Walls. That's right… Eren was right. I am Coward" Jean said that and clenched his fist. He got up and walked towards Connie, and said.

"... I-I'm joining the… Survey Corps"

Marco watched as Jean said to Connie his conviction. He couldn't help but smile a little at this sight. 

But then on his sight, he saw Vincent walking far away. He got up and walked towards him. He wanted to know what happened to Annie.

"Vincent!"

Vincent stopped walking as he heard someone called out to him. He looked back and saw Marco, and said.

"What is it?"

"Do you know something about Annie's disappearance?" Marco asks.

"I have no idea"

Vincent said that towards Marco and began walking towards the camp.

Seeing this, Marco couldn't help but grab Vincent's arm and said,

"But, you're the one that-"

Flinging his arms, Vincent looks at Marco, Frowning while saying in a deep voice.

"Like I said, I have no idea"

Vincent began to walk away, as Marco looked at Vincent in worry.

Next-Day…

Vincent woke up. This time around, he is alone in a room. He wanted to sort out his feelings and the information he got from Annie.

"Titan Shifters… and Founding Titan…"

Vincent heard from Annie that their mission is to get or capture the Bearer of the Founding Titan. 

Vincent just laid down. He was exhausted through and through. He wants to have some rest or the next day, he might not have the time to rest anymore.

In the Dining Hall.

Vincent is currently eating by himself. After that, he got up and started to leave. 

Walking towards the now busy streets. Vincent can see the damage, but people from the Trost started to repair it. 

Vincent looked to the side and saw and heard news being spread around. 

"It's amazing! A Titan on our side has appeared!"

Everyone from the sides began to talk to each other as they heard that. That person then began to passionately say his opinions.

"Maybe we can even take back Wall Maria! You could even say… You could even say he's our savior!"

Vincent stops and looks at everyone. He can see their hopeful, scared, and even a little bit of fanaticism on their faces. 

'People will cling from the strong. Titans or not, if it didn't endanger their lives, they could even worship Devils'.

Vincent then began to walk towards the familiar road.

He stops in the front of the Chapel and knocks.

*Knock* 

The Door opened as a Middle-Aged Woman appeared. 

"Vincent you're here!"

Vincent smiled at the sight of this woman. He could even see a trace of the resemblance of Grandpa Neil from her. Smiling and said.

"Sister Marie, how're the kids?"

Sister Marie smiled and said.

"They're fine. A little bit scared, but… how are you? You face Titans…"

"I'm fine," Vincent smiled as he saw the concerned face of Sister Marie. He then continued smiling and said.

"Can I come in?"

"You can, you can. You can come in every time. But, the Chapel may have been a little space because people from other places, living here for their house, get destroyed by the Titans."

Vincent walked in and played with the kids…

Walking out the Chapel. Vincent's smiling face began to turn cold.

"... I promise, I will end this".

At the Dining Hall.

His name, after Mikasa and Armin, got called. 

"Mikasa Ackerman! Armin Arlet! Vincent Glaze! Are you there!"

"You've been ordered to appear as witnesses at this afternoon's inquiry.

Vincent walks towards them and joins them towards the Military Court.

Standing beside Armin, Vincent looked around and saw some noteworthy figures. 

Then, the Door opened as Eren began to walk towards the middle, his hands cuffed.
