It's gotten fairly dark now. Not much time has gone by since Ben placed me here at this terrifying-looking cavern entrance.

“Here comes a pack of gust wolves!” (Isaac)

Isaac suddenly exclaims he hears something coming as he takes out his sword and moves closer to the giant entrance of the cavern.

Looks he’s pretty used to this, I can’t hear a thing.
Oh! A couple of seconds later, distant echos of screaming could be heard coming nearer.

2 young looking guys and a girl come running out of the cavern.
“Waaah! I’m done! I’m done! I’m going home!!” (???)
“Wait for me!!” (???)
The third one is too busy crying to say anything.

“Ha ha ha, you’ll get used to this scene soon enough mister scarecrow.” (Isaac)

Mister Scarecrow is what Isaac calls me for now.
I'm glad this kind filler character has decided to treat me like a conversational partner. Though I'm not sure if he's just idly talking to me to combat his boredom.
Also, I wasn’t expecting someone older than me to refer to me as “mister”.
Hearing Isaac say that for the first time has mentally aged me drastically.

I focus on Isaac.

Level 46? I should stop calling this guy a background character.
Or maybe this is the standard for all Royal Capital guards?

Whilst I'm pondering Isaac's surprising status, a pack of 7 wolf-like creatures emerge from the giant entrance.
They sort of look like dishevelled timberwolves, except they've got different body proportions and webbing between their toes.

Isaac jumps in front of the wolves who seemed to be eagerly chasing the people that just came running out of the cavern.
Two of the wolves lunge at Isaac whilst the other wolves begin surrounding him.

Isaac's arm begins glowing as he swiftly cuts the two wolves heads off.
(Woah!) 

One of the wolves tries to sneakily get around him but suddenly notices me.
The wolf slightly tilts it's head in confusion for a second and casually begins to approach me.

(Oh? So you're coming near me?)

I inspect the wolf.

A- ah… this thing is crazy strong actually…
I have a lot of health now, but a bunch of level 1 crows nearly killed me last time, I'm not sure I want to risk fighting this thing considering the level difference.

The wolf is now in front of me. It's standing sideways and suddenly lifts its rear leg.

(…)

It begins peeing against me.

(…)

I so badly want to retaliate with my mental ability or maybe by even peeing back onto the wolf. But I might seriously die if I anger this wolf with his overactive bladder.

What is this wolf even doing in the middle of combat? Aren't you too relaxed?

"Hey! Get away from there!" (Isaac)
Isaac shouts something in my direction.

I look over at Isaac, whose now surrounded by a bunch of fresh wolf corpses.
He killed all those dangerous-looking things in mere seconds, that's insane. Aren't I the background character instead?

The wolf who was still in the middle of peeing against me quickly runs back into the giant cavern entrance. It's leaving a trail of urine behind.

"DISTANT FLASH!" (Isaac)
An explosion of light could suddenly be seen originating from inside the entrance.
Isaac dashes into the entrance. I soon heard the remaining piss wolf whimpering inside. 

*Sigh* (Isaac)
Isaac lets out a relieved sigh as he casually exits the cave with the wolf corpse he's dragging behind him.

"Usually I have to chase these damn things for several minutes." (Isaac)
"But with you here, I don't have to conserve my mana all day for when the stronger demons show up!" (Isaac)

Isaac returned to my side and began pouring some of my water in a cup after refilling my mana crystal.
"It's just like Ben said! With you here, my work will be way easier!" (Isaac)
"I've been asking for someone proficient in water magic to join my guard duty for ages!" (Isaac)
Isaac starts complaining about his work whilst drinking my water.
I'm beginning to feel like a water cooler.

(Hmmm?)
I suddenly realised that I didn't receive a reward for protecting my domain like I usually do when the last wolf died.

…I mean it's not like I actually did anything. I just got pissed on. Something that seems to have become a habit of mine in this world.
I guess I'm supposed to defeat the demons myself for the rewards to actually appear?
Now that I think back on it, I didn't receive a reward either whenever Julia chased away dark day birds from the garden.

What am I even supposed to do against monsters that are several times stronger than me?
I hope I at least don't get a bunch of demerits for letting other people take care of monsters… 

Thinking of demerits, it suddenly dawns on me that I haven't looked at my new titles yet.
I briefly focus on my status and information swiftly enters my mind as per usual.

Looks like the one title I received as a reward doesn't even grant me any neat effects…
The demerit titles on the other hand seem to have turned me into the opposite of a scarecrow.
