Countless black tendrils shot out of the abomination and attached themselves to the walls of the giant hole we're in.
The shape of the abomination and its tendrils created the shadow of a spiderweb on the ground below me.
Is it trying to trap me down here?
Well, it's not like I've got many other choices than to defeat this thing anyway right?
Let's see if one of my latest acquisitions will be of any use.
I began to mould my mana with the intent to use soul magic.
As soon as I did, I could feel the presence of hundreds upon hundreds of souls inside the abomination.
This might work...
A giant black ball of goo shot out from the main body of the abomination towards me.
*CRASH!*
I dodged it and ignored the debris that was pelting my body from the impact of the black ball.

Using my afterburner ability, I shot myself forward towards the main body and focused on one of the hundreds of souls inside of him.
As I passed the body at a frightening speed, I attempted to grab the soul and rip it out.
"SOUL MAGIC?" (Abomination)
"USELESS." (Abomination)
The soul quickly got ripped out of my hand and flew back to the main body like an elastic band.
Tsk-
What am I supposed to do against this damn thing if even that doesn't work?!
Several black tendrils from all directions swung towards me in response to my attack.
Two can play at that game!
(WOOD MAGIC!)
Hundreds of sturdy looking wooden roots quickly appeared out of the ground around me, blocking each black tendril.
The black tendrils wrapped around the wooden roots I created and began to clamp down on them to crush them.
In response, I manipulated the wood to wrap around the black tendrils as well and also tried to crush them.
The abomination shot hundreds of black balls of goo at me whilst I was distracted by this.
I dodged each of them seemingly effortlessly, yet one of them managed to graze me anyway.
The force of the impact sent me flying into a pile of debris.
(Ugh...)
I jumped back onto my feet and ran towards my nearby arm that had been shot off of my body.
Using wood magic, I quickly recreated my shoulder and reattached my arm.
That was a close one... he almost hit one of the mana crystals inside my arm there.
...Where is this anyway?
Around me seemed to be the ruins of the giant underground city that was in the final depths of the cavern.
It looks like the entire city collapsed from the force of Alcazar's explosion-
(Huh?)
In between all the rubble though, there was one area that seemed completely preteen despite all the destruction around it.
It looked like someone had diligently cleaned up every piece of rubble around it.
...It's the hole in the floor.
Despite all the structures around the hole having been obliterated by Alcazar's explosion, the hole itself and the parts directly attached to it seemed completely unaffected somehow.
I approached the hole and looked inside of it.
The inside of the hole is absolutely pitch black with no end in sight.
"NO!" (Abomination)
The abomination arrived with a surprising fright in its voice.
...
"Oh? You don't like this hole?" (Scarecrow)
I pointed at the hole.
"DON'T!" (Abomination)
"Well I guess I should have a look down here then shouldn't I?" (Scarecrow)
Tons of black goop all around me quickly gathered and covered the hole.
Seems like that thing really doesn't like the idea of me going in there.
That's making me want to jump down there all the more.
Oh?
Suddenly I noticed a skeleton's legs sticking out of the abomination, seems like he hasn't finished absorbing everyone just yet!
If I can get him to redistribute enough of his goop, I can probably at least save a couple of people!
(WOOD MAGIC!)
I used more hundreds of wooden roots to lift up all the goop covering the hole, prompting the abomination to use even more of his body to cover up the newly created openings.
Now a wolf's tail and a black feather became visible on the other side of his main body.
Alright, let's go!

Using my afterburner ability in quick succession I speed blitzed through the abomination's body, grabbing everyone out that I could.
I managed to get Furby, Julia and Sniffles out.
I couldn't find Alcazar though.
They seemed a bit startled by what just happened but still alive.
"USELESS! USELESS!" (Abomination)
"I'LL JUST ABSORB THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN!" (Abomination)
"Sure you will, but I wonder what you'll do if I do this-" (Scarecrow)
I turned to the hole that the skeletons kept calling the end.
"NO! HAVE YOU ANY IDEA-" (Abomination)

Arriving nearly instantaneously, I immediately used wood magic again to create an arch way, lifting up all the goop above it and freeing up a path towards the hole.
"I'LL CONSUME YOU BEFORE-" (Abomination)
*BANG!*
A giant purple ball hit the abomination, interrupting it's screaming.
Sizzling sounds like something was burning could be heard coming from the purple liquid that hit the abomination.
Furby, who had quickly regained consciousness had shot the abomination.
"You found his weakness by the sound of it! Fuck him up!" (Furby)
Black tendrils also came towards me into the tunnel, but they suddenly fell to the floor.
At the base of the tendrils stood Julia and Sniffles who had cut it to pieces.
"..." (Julia)
*Awoo* (Sniffles)
"USELESS! I'LL JUST CRUSH YOUR STRUCTURE WITH YOU INSIDE OF IT THEN!" (Abomination)
I could hear and see the wooden tunnel I had created towards the hole bending under the pressure of the black goop above it.
Quickly, I continued to run towards the hole-
But suddenly it all stopped and everything and everyone began to slowly levitate up into the air like gravity was slowly reversing itself.
Even my wooden structure that had deep roots underground easily got ripped out of the ground.
I quickly looked up and saw a large black hole in the sky.
"Fu fu fu..." (Alcazar)
"Behold the fruit of my lastest studies! The ultimate destruction!" (Alcazar)
Everything was slowly gravitating towards the hole that Alcazar had created.
Apparently, the abomination hadn't even absorbed him in the first place, he must've been preparing that spell whilst the abomination was distracted fighting me and everyone else.
I rotated my body in the air and looked down at the hole.
Despite my brief reluctance, I hurriedly decided to go before Alcazar causes another disaster with collateral damage.
Whatever's down that hole, seems to scare the shit out of that abomination.

The abomination who seemed to notice my plan immediately shot its black tendrils towards me, but it was too late.
It was a straight shot into the hole, so using my afterburner ability again-

I speed blitzed straight into the hole.
"NOOOOooo-" (Abomination)
I turned around to look behind me, where I could seemingly see the entire world warp and distort into the hole.
It was as if the hole began to suck the entire world into it.

Before long, all the light disappeared from the entrance of the hole and all that was left was darkness.
I couldn't see anything in any of the directions I was looking.
And for some reason, my afterburner ability stopped working as soon as I entered the hole.
I kept falling for what felt likes hours with no end in sight.
At some point, I couldn't even tell if I was still moving at all.
What the hell is this? How far down does this thing go?
Is this just going to spit me out into the planet's molten core or something?

As I began to dread my demise, a bunch of words suddenly came into my mind.
Simultaneously, a bright white light suddenly appeared below me.

For some reason, my falling speed began to dramatically accelerate as soon as the light appeared.
Sucking me into it.
Before long, I was thrown out of the other side of the hole-

And on the other side, I was met with a beautiful aerial view of an unfamiliar world.
As if I had just jumped out of an aeroplane, the hole seemingly threw me out high up in the sky.
I looked behind me and easily spotted the pitch-black hole unnaturally floating in the air.
Whilst I was questioning reality, a large black shape suddenly got vomited out the hole after me.
After which the hole began to slowly shrink and ultimately disappear.
For a moment I dreaded the worst.
Did the abomination follow me into the hole?
But it quickly became apparent it wasn't the goop monster that had come through the hole.
It was an oversized bird.

Eh, thought I’d hate this expected ending reveal of the whole world being a place for the MC to grow but I’m interested to see what comes next.
