While Alice was explaining her plan to everyone in her squad, Heron was still on his seemingly never-ending journey through nothingness. Thankfully, he had a direction to follow, which was the direction the slavers were moving towards. However, he did not have any idea on how long it would take.

He, and his group of sub-players, were already around four sand-storms into the journey, and they had yet to find a single sign of civilisation. Suddenly, a sand beast appeared out of nowhere. Unfortunately, this was not a juvenile like all the other sand beasts Heron had killed, and so was about 10 times the strength of the ones he killed. Sand beasts were different from the normal monsters living within this unforgiving desert. Sand beasts were incredibly dangerous creatures which would keep any beastman on their toes for days after even hearing the roar of one such creature.

Heron looked up at the towering cross between an armoured earthworm, and a shark, a wide grin appearing on his face.

"Haha! I was getting very irritated just now. You came at the perfect timing! Come on you maggo-"

However, before he could complete his sentence, the Sand beast rushed him, pummelling him into the sand, while burrowing down to follow Heron's body.

Thankfully, he had already gotten off the tamed beast, or else it would have definitely died.

"Hey! Do you think boss died?"

"Fufu! What an interesting way to die."

"Kekeke. Died while badmouthing a sand beast right in front of it."

Just while the former slaves, now sub-slaves were giggling about Heron's fate, loud clashed emanated from under their feet, causing the sand to shift, and sucking them into the sand.

Thankfully, after about a minute of this, the vibrating stopped, and all the ex-slaves let out sighs of relief as the sand stopped just blow their thighs.

However, the next moment. Large part of the sand exploded into the air as Heron flew out, dragging the corpse of a sand beast in one hand.

The sight was quite amusing, resembling a rat dragging the corpse of a giant anaconda.

Suddenly, a notification flew towards Heron mid-air, causing his incredibly slow-motion jump to falter and causing his to fall face first into the sand, with the sand beast's body falling on top of him.

After some effort, he finally struggled out and got the sand out of his ears, nose and mouth, and finally got to reading the notification.

Sighing to himself, Heron selected the level up so that he could put the stat points into strength and aura once more.

However, before he could do that, another notification came up.

Heron felt like the God of systems was trying to tell him that he was not capable of the simple process of choosing an option.

'I'll show you that I can!'

And Heron therefore began his contemplation on which option to pick. The length of this contemplation was unknown even to Jack himself, who would have already gone bald by now if he had any hair from pulling them out.

Sighing in indignation, Jack surrendered to fate and gave up on Heron for the time being. Although he could force Heron to pick Warrior, he would not be much a good god of systems, then would he? He would become the systems from those 'crappy' games which are so restrictive in anything that people drop the games due to the limits on them.

Jack simply turned his interest elsewhere, where Alice was currently carrying out her own plan.
