I want to be transparent with all of you. This series has truly taken a toll on me, and I find myself unable to continue with the translations. My motivation has dwindled, and even my memory seems to fail me. Having been away from the novel for quite some time, I fear I won't recall the precise phrases I previously used, including the creative colloquial terms I crafted to replace the literal Japanese translations for names, statuses, spells, and other elements. The idea of rereading all 270 chapters to locate these details is overwhelming, and my motivation to do so is lacking.
I hope you can understand that translating a work of this magnitude (almost one thousand more chapters to go) requires immense dedication and passion, and lately, I haven't been able to muster that enthusiasm. It's essential for me to deliver translations of the highest quality, and currently, I feel incapable of doing justice to this project.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to all of you for your support and encouragement throughout this journey. It means a lot to me. I don't want to leave you all hanging, so I am open to discussions about how we can proceed from here. If there's a possibility of collaborating with someone else who can continue the translation, I'm willing to explore that option.
Once again, I apologize for this setback and appreciate your understanding. Please feel free to share your thoughts, and together we can decide on the best course of action for the future of this series.
P.S. I want to update you all that chapters 271-273 of the series have been thoughtfully translated by a gracious individual. You can find their work on ScribbleHub at the following link: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/755549/i-was-reincarnated-as-a-poor-farmer-in-a-different-world-so-i-decided-to-make-bricks-to-build-a-castle-translation/. Regrettably, the built-in search function on ScribbleHub does not support searches for translated stories, as the platform primarily focuses on hosting "original" works. ScribbleHub takes pride in being a platform that nurtures and showcases unique and creative storytelling. As a result, you may not be able to find translated versions of stories using its search feature. I would recommend using search engines like Google to do so.
TL;DR:
I am unable to continue translating the series due to a lack of motivation and memory recall for the unique phrases used in previous chapters. The magnitude of the work and the remaining chapters make it overwhelming to continue. I am grateful for every comment, every review, and every interaction I have had with readers of this translation. I apologize for the setback and wish to share that chapters 271-273 have been translated by another person (here). If anyone wishes to pick this up, please feel free to do so and refer back to my previous translations if necessary.
I allow the usage of my translations in any way, shape, or form that does not earn income, as it is - technically - still copyrighted material tied to the original Japanese author (Cancellara). If you wish to support the author, please buy the official manga. Thank you.
P.P.S. I may still translate other novels in the future. Once again, thank you for following me on this journey.

Thank you for everything. It was fun being able to read along this story during it's ups and downs. Fair seas ahead.
aww sad time :(
Yup, I knew this was coming since I started, as you had already dropped it. Cadmar, you are AMAZING. If I ever get the chance, I'd be honored to collaborate with you on some project.
As for this novel, not sure whether I'll even finish it, since Cancellara-sensei has been getting sloppier and sloppier, but I'll at least bookmark it for further consideration.
Thing is, I know a very small number of japanese words, and I can't read kanji/hiragana/katakana if my life depended on it. I do, however, have some code I wrote that auto-translates stuff from syosetu (It can also include the original text along with the translation, paragraph-by-paragraph). It does replicate manual translation though, copy-pasting each paragraph into both romanization and translation software/websites, so it's pretty slow, and the results are MTL so they're really bad. Even so, it might be helpful as a tool for translators. If you're ever interested, you can reach me through Github (https://github.com/frnco). You can try on Scribblehub but I'm pretty lax with checking my accounts. I tend to take some time away from everything every once in a while. Github is the one I check most frequently, and the one I'm definitely never gonna stop using.
Again, thanks A LOT for the translation. I've read/watched a ton of stuff, light novels, mangas, animes... I even helped some friends fansubbing animes. Very few people have as much discipline and consistent quality as you. From the bottom of my heart: Thanks.
Good work so far! Thank you!
Haaaa~ been a good binge. I came from the manga right after the tax collectors messed up with Ars and with a prospective fight. Can't believe so much has happened with 200+ chapters and there's still a thousand more. Thanks TL for the superb translation your work is very much appreciated for a free user like me. Hope you find something else you can put dedication into like how you did with this LN. again thank you for your work.
Thanks for translation and entertainment.
