The first half will be different, but the second half is the same as Chapter 111 and Chapter 112 but in a different POV

4th Sukurach of Desariel 1237

3rd person's POV

At the dawn of the morning, 6 huge armies can be seen marching through the canyons and creeks of the Geolicus Kingdom. All of them have the same goal, the capital of the kingdom. Throughout the march, they encounter several merchants that are going to/from the capital. Sadly, all of those have met the same fate - they got mercilessly killed by the human armies. No matter their age, gender, or species. Everyone caught was killed, then their body recovered to be processed into magic stones. In fact, they specifically brought the machines for that just for this occasion.

The human army is going to use the non-humans as ammunition against themselves.

Humans on Astrea were normally unable to cast spells due to their biology of being unable to hold any mana. Hence, every spell that they cast will fail as they don't have the mana to command the spells to form. Due to the new technology that is recently imported from the fel, they are able to use spells at the cost of magic stones such as these, and the best way to get one is by draining the mana out of this world's inhabitants. By using the machines that the demons made, they are able to turn these non-humans into mana stones, though it is a cruel method, the humans do not care. In their eyes, the non-humans are nothing more than barbaric tribes that need to be culled.

As the human army marches on, there are also some changes inside the Geolicus Kingdom capital Geocracia, the people are starting to worry. Normal goods that should have arrived hours ago are nowhere to be seen, and they have lost contact with anyone that is sent out. The normal citizens are worried about their friends and the higher-ups are worried about what is going on, that is until the king received a manacom message from an unknown source.

" Humans are marching towards your capital! Do not let anyone out of the walls." is what the message says. ominous but at the same time, a good explanation of what is happening. But this should not be trusted wholly as it is from an unknown source.

" Send the scouts out... and some backup as well. Something is going on and I do not like the feeling of this." the king's general gave his command as soon as he received the message from the king. If it is a human invasion, then this is the worst timing, as a third of the city's troops has been sent in an excursion on the human ports. While they did not know the numbers on the human side, they knew that it definitely won't be on their side, as they have just less than 15 thousand fighters and 5 thousand archers. A number that will definitely be dwarfed by the human side.

" Also order the town to go into half-lockdown mode. Do not let anyone out unless it has been registered before this. If they ask why, tell them that a dangerous beast has been found outside of the town." the general added. While magic beasts are rare, they are common enough that a dangerous beast that could threaten a small village or town be found every year or two. So a reason like this is likely to convince the people to not go out of the city walls.

" Call every regiment captain to the yard, I want all of them here within 30 minutes. If there is any of them on leave, tell them the emergency protocol is now active." the general talk to one of the helpers before facing the king himself.

" I will check the validity of this message, if this is true, then I shall make sure that none of the citizens are harmed. I shall take my leave." the general said as he stood up, but as he was leaving, he is held back by the king.

" The message is valid. Lord Paelisher vouch for the message. He said the message is likely from a young dragon that he has taken in to solve the problem with humans." the king said, which earned a surprise from the general.

" Lord Paelisher you say... then it can't be wrong, plus... you said it's a dragon that is giving this information... very well... I shall order the troops to be ready for the fight. Now please excuse me." the general bowed before finally leaving the room.

" A dragon... it would be great if this could be ended without too much bloodshed... but seeing as the other side is the humans, it cant be avoided. You, tell my wife and children to come back to the castle and make sure that they stay safe behind the throne room. If... my daughter doesn't follow, use force if needed. Make sure she doesn't come out of it." the king said to the butler and he also left the room.

" I just hope it won't go south..." the butler says as he went ahead and tidy up the table. Even though it is not used, it is already a habit for him to clean it when its occupants left.

Looking outside the window, the butler can see that men and women in armor are now moving drastically inside the courtyard of the castle, he let out a sigh as he continues to go back to work.

When Belgrynd starts clearing out the invasion.

" Sir, that is all of the citizens." one of the soldiers is reporting to the general.

" Send a small squad out and double check, make sure that all of our citizens are inside the castle walls! Also, tell the squads on the walls to be extra careful. It seems like the invaders this time have strong siege equipment. Make sure that the mage casts a barrier that will dampen the projectiles." the general ordered his soldiers, which they all nodded and went to do their task with as much haste as possible.

" Sometimes I wonder if I should even call you the same name as me." a man suddenly said that, and within seconds, two soldiers already have their heads torn away from their bodies. Causing a bloody scene in the courtyard.

" Too bad, so fragile, unlike me and my brothers..." the demon said as he charge straight to the castle, slicing and dicing everyone that is on the way, leaving behind a lot of corpses in various states, and rarely are any of those fully intact.

" He is heading to the castle! Stop him at all costs!" one of the lieutenants yelled, everyone who heard it tried to stop the demon even if it means their death. But all that does is just add the body count. The demon is even speeding up!

" Tsk... at this rate he will reach the king... royal guards follow me!" the general said before calling all of the royal guards to his side. To he quickly broke a crystal that is almost the size of an apple onto the ground, forming a magic formation. This magic formation glows more and more intensely until everyone in the circle vanishes with it.

Within a blink of an eye, the general with all of the royal guard is in the throne room, the king is temporarily shocked by their arrival but he quickly composes himself and asks about the situation, which the general tried to explain as much as possible, but this is quickly stopped as a small figure appears behind the throne, a small girl which doesn't look like she ages more than 13.

" Why are you here? I thought I told you to hide in the bunker!" the king furiously said, angry that his own daughter who disobeys his command is now at a high risk of even dying!

" I just want to be here!" the princess defiantly said. Which earns the scrutiny of almost every adult inside the room, which is everyone except her. Even the royal guards who normally would be punished for looking at royalty like this, are also doing the same. But in this situation, everyone just felt that the princess is being too selfish and arrogant.

" Go back to your mother now! Or I will punish you for disobeying!" the king yelled at the princess to make her move, but she did not budge.

" It is alright my king, I will punish her for you." suddenly another unfamiliar voice to the king but familiar to the general and the royal guard comes out. It is the demon from before. With a blast, a part of the castle walls are blasted away, only rubble remains, and standing on that rubble is a demon the same as the ones inside the room except with different skin color.

" Greeting everyone, some familiar some not familiar, but all of those doesn't matter, since..." the demon said as he took out his sword and start killing, starting from the royal guards that were surrounding him.

" You will all die!"

" Hahahaha I love it when my prey struggles! Don't you think it's the same too!" the demon yelled as he continue to launch his attacks on the general. The attacks are fast and heavy but are still manageable for the general, it is just that he has to be focused on defense, or the demon in front of him will sneak in attacks to attempt to bypass his defense and hit the king or the princess. It has already happened twice which causes the king to be hurt already.

' Tsk... I can't go on the offensive, if I do that the king will be injured by him, and possibly even endanger the princess too...' the general thinks, but that moment of distraction is what causes the demon's attack to pass through his defense. And that mistake is going to cause the king to lose a limb.

" Ahahah! If you don't focus, then I can't guarantee that those two behind you won't get hurt! Well, they will get hurt in the end anyways!" the demon said as he increases the frequency of his attack, lessening the force behind it but making it even harder to defend.

*bang*

Gunshots start to blare from outside of the castle, successfully attracting the attention of everyone. The demon looked back and began to be enraged, it seems like the demon knows the third party to join in. The general looked back and saw someone with a plain shirt, jacket, and pants. The total look of a civilian. Yet the same civilian is holding two weird guns that have blades from the side.

" YOU!" the demon yelled angrily before throwing himself to the 3rd party. After the general got a breather and took a good look, looks like a lizardman, except normally lizardman does not have wings, and lizardman does not look so anthro-like. And is scalier unless they reach a higher realm. The general doesn't understand the situation revolving around the lizard girl but at the moment, any help he can get is any help that he will want.

Though the lizardkin and the demon keep fighting, it left the general in a bind. They are too fast for him to catch up, and the few times he tried to help, he instead caused the lizardkin to be attacked too. Which earned him a glare from the lizardkin. Though he felt that the lizardkin meant it differently than causing her to get attacked.

After knowing that staying inside the fight is pointless and might cause problems, the general retreated to protect the royal family. In which the lizardkin nodded slightly and focused on fighting the demonkin.

What surprised the general isn't the speed at which they fighting,. Yes, it is impressive that they are moving at such speed, but that is not the main reason for the general to be surprised. He originally thought the lizard man was somewhat of a swordsman, not a mage. So seeing her super sword skill which can be said to be very good, at the same time, casting a lot o spells of various elements. He just saw the lizardkin casted wind, fire, ice, and even earth elements toward the demon without even breaking a sweat! Not even the best mage in the kingdom could do something like this.

Though what the general doesn't understand is why the lizardkin keeps taunting the demon. The general doesn't understand why is the lizardkin dragging this on and not ending it early until he can feel the ambient mana in the surrounding getting gathered by the demon... the demon is attempting to cast a large spell. Instinctively, the general quickly grabbed one of the royal guard shields that is littered on the ground and immediately walk to guard the royal family against whatever that is going to happen from it.

*boom*

A huge shockwave erupted from the demon and it quickly blasted everyone nearby. Due to its strength, the general is forced to stab his sword into the ground to gain extra stability, hearing it bending under pressure made the general start to sweat but luckily it went away before the sword snapped in half. Looking up at the aftermath of the blast made the general sweat even more, feeling lucky that the demon did not face him with his full power. Though he can't see too far, the damage can be easily seen through the throne, which its originally delicate features are now reduced to nothing. Looking back he could see that his highness the king also have his injury worsened by the blast, but thanks to the throne and himself blocking out the majority of it, it isn't too lethal that he would pass away within minutes, but that might change if he is not treated immediately.

Looking back at the battlefield between the lizardkin and the demon, he could only see a huge amount of dust, none of their silhouettes is available. That is until the lizardkin flew up away from the dust cloud and immediately dive onto the demon. In just a moment, the enemy that they fought so long and can't win was bisected in half within seconds... although it makes his previous struggle seem futile, he doesn't really care anymore. He is alive, and his majesty and his family are also alive. That is what matters now.

General's POV

Sometimes I wonder if it's time to retire. But now, seeing the corpses near me, I think, there is still some time before I can pass the baton.

" I am the princess you cant order me!" the princess is shouting at the lizardkin, one who I do not even know his name yet. At least I think it's a he. Though he has long hair, I saw my fair share of male lizardkins who can turn into their anthro form having long hair. And now, there is a problem here... the princess is for some reason very antagonistic against our savior...

" So ignoring the pretentious brat, here is how you do this." the lizardkin ignored our princess and start to teach our best mage how to regrow his Highness's legs. I am not that proficient at magic but even with my untrained eyes, I can see how intensive this magic would be. And for him to teach us for free, is definitely something that we could never repay back.

" There, you should only do this once per month to make sure that the magic can continuously work without any fault. Doing faster or slower than that rate would cause troubles that I do not want to mention. Also, make sure that only one mage work on the magic at the same time, you can teach others but make sure that only one person performs at one time, or the mana impurity would cause the magic to go haywire.

Now looking at you, you might say, what I am getting out of this? Well, there will be a lot of fires that is going to happen inside the woods and mountains soon, once you saw it, send a rescue team there. Your kind is there, and if you found any demons with the skin color as the previous one, tell Paelisher. He will inform me. Do not show mercy as those demons are working together with the humans." the lizardkin... no... he mentioned Lord Paelisher... doesn't that mean that he is a dragon! Oh my lord... I have been disrespecting him the entire time...

" Also, once the time is right, support Paelisher when he want to eradicate the empire once and for all, that is all I wanted from you all." the dragon said as he went outside of the throne room and flew away, leaving all of us flabbergasted.

" I guess you can say we are lucky... that he didn't plan to just murder the princess for such hostility..." I said which the king nodded. The princess after hearing what I said was so scared that she cried on the spot. I cant blame her, normally dragons with high power tend to be arrogant too. We are lucky that this one isn't.

Belgrynd: Are the dragons always like what he said?
Astrea: Didnt you met two before?
Belgrynd: Those are dragons? I thought they are drakes...
Astrea PWAAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA
