While Insania was having a blast massacring the beastkin Archers, the situation was dire for the humans side. Unlike Insania who has the basic stats of a beastkin, humans have a lesser stat multiplier compared to the other races.

Although they still fought with much vigor, their resources like mana and stamina can easily be depleted with the amount of beastkins running at them.

Add the fact that only Allan and the Ranger can probably fight with these beastkins. An average level 30 human has basic stats of about 60... with the help of equipments and other items they could probably make it pass two hundred when all their stats are combined. But that wasnt the thing that strained them so much. Its the beastkins coordination, unlike Insania who killed the beastkins almost instantly, the Mercenaries had a hard time killing one because they'd instantly back away when their Hitpoints drop below 50%.

Even Allan with his whooping 300 damage with the sword couldn't kill a beastkin like Insania did. But not all hope was lost, a single proc of the human inherent skill [Courage, Camaraderie, Cohesion] and the mercenaries stats got boosted, managing to push back the rushing beastkins. Jackus in the back lines commanded his troops to pull back. His gaze landed on the corpses of the  beastkin Archers.

"Kuh... " Gritting his teeth he held his sword up high and shouted. "Archers! Knock! LOSE!"

Arrows rained down on the humans from all sides and angles, the ones they're facing aimed at the physical classes while the beastkins behind the [Hailstorm] covered the sky with their arrows.

Lainey was now in a dilemma in what angle her [Mana Barrier] should be! She panicked and thought they were doomed but Allan called out to the Magician and shouted. "Mark! Help us already!"

Mark shook his head and conjured a [Mana barrier] that enveloped everyones heads, like an umbrella it stopped the rain of arrows, but some arrows passed through the barrier like it wasnt even there with the help of an Archer class skill.

They survived the rain but now, Mark had to leave the battlefield and continue on the Teleportation runes. He shouted. "If you want to get out of here! Hold out as long as you can without me!"

While the battle raged once more, Insania sprinted towards the bushes, and hid in the forest when she killed the 12 beastkins. She checked her status and saw her sad 300 remaining Manapoints. She can't use another [Re-Charge] and [Dis-charge] combo with the amount of mana she currently had and she needed all the mana she could get if she wanted to use [Over-charged].

She pulled out 10 Mana Pots that restores 30 Manapoints instantly when drunk. The taste was horrifyingly bitter but in her experience, this isnt the worst thing she drunk in her life. Merely getting 300 Manapoints still wasnt enough, if she relied on the inherent mana regen of all races with the exception of Elves, she'd gain 5% every minute, and this isn't the type of regen that slowly gives mana until it reaches 1 minute, Percentage base regens is always a sudden burst of points like how Insania gets 307.2 Hitpoints every minute with her beastkin passive.

She calculated that if she doesn't use more than three skills she'd have enough mana to use [Over-charged] to make a hasty retreat.

She instantly formed a diversion plan and rushed at the beastkin Archers once more. With her superior Agility stat, she felt a single Boost proc making her run sprint at 70kmph.

She lunged with her right and then twisted her body making a slash with the left with every slash she dealt exactly 112 damage, this wouldn't be possible unless the person actually uses their full strength with every slash, but always slashing with the maximum damage output puts too much strain on a melee attackers hands and stamina. Her attacks were fierce and she slayed two more Archers but they weren't one-sided. The moment the beastkins saw Insania speeding towards them, they dispersed and used their movement skills to separate from their clumped up formation. They all saw what Insania could do, and they were absolutely wary with an opponent that can't be scanned.

"Shoot her!" A beastkin yelled. They all shot Insania from different angles. [Heart-shot]!

[Head-shot]!

[Leg-shot]!

No matter how twisty and bendy Insania  was, she couldn't possibly dodge homing Archer skills that locks on a body part but Insania smirked, she jumped then squatted in mid-air and activated [Double Jump]. She couldn't help but grin, glad at taking such a life saving skill.

Once her feet landed on the small mana base platform, she used it like a trampoline and flew up high in the air, simply avoiding the Archer homing skills with finesse.

She landed near a group of 5 beastkin Archers and brandished her blades, four normal slashes were all it took to decapitate and decimate the group.

"Let me handle her! ALL OF YOU FOCUS YOUR FIRE ON THE HUMAN CASTER!" Jackus faced Insania with grit teeth, looking terrifyingly angry.

"But boss! We have already encircled her! She'd be able to run if we break the encirclement!" A Panthera Leo shouted. Insania really managed to lessen the burden of the mercenary group with her actions, her current position is in the core of the beastkins and almost half of the attacking force is facing her.

Jackus didn't answer and just stared at the beastkin that offered his opinion. He gulped and shouted. "LEAVE THE WENCH TO THE BOSS!"

Insania was now facing Jackus alone in a direct confrontation and she was getting extremely excited, although she failed her plan in gathering a majority of beastkins she was still eager to fight Jackus with her new set, her heart is thumping so fast she could hear it despite all the clamoring metal.

From what she learned in her spars, Levels are irrelevant infront of true mastery. Meaning that even though the beastkin with him are all higher leveled than him, they could never beat Jackus in a fight. Add the fact that once you class-up your class you'll gain 30 AP which if converted to beastkins stats, is 90 additional basic attributes. Jackus is prolly the strongest one here and even Allan might not be able to fight him toe to toe.

Despite such major risks, Insania made the first move and made a frontal asualt, then when she was 7 meters near Jackus she did a sliding tackle. (Commonly used in Soccer)

She got behind Jackus before he could even react and slashed at his now exposed back.

CLANG!

Her sword rebounded, just like how she hit that target dummy in the training field. I could take him she says, Im not the same as when we sparred she says. Oh how narrow-mindedly wrong she was. Jackus rapidly spun and slashed at Insania's abdomen. -385! CRITICAL!

It was at that moment, she knew... She fucked up. Jackus didn't stop there, gripping the sword tightly with his two hands, he sent a downard diagonal slash from right to left. Insania reacted and blocked the strike with her left sword.

CLANG!

Her hand violently shook as the slash was partnered with a Fencer skill. She was currently feeling all sorts of different emotions right now. But the emotion she could feel now is...

PAIN!

HIS STRIKES ARE TOO PAINFUL!

Having lost the fight before it even started Insania was left in a defensive stance. Jackus relentless slashes were too much to cope. Insania was already half-dead with this much beating, a major part of her brain was forced to shutdown in order to ignore the pain while the other part was left with the task of blocking as many strikes as possible. Of course this isnt humanly possible but she managed it somehow.

During the entire fight, Insania realized many things that she didn't think of before facing off Jackus, First was when they sparred, he was merely using thirty percent of the current damage he's currently dishing out, and secondly was the items. Even if her set boosted her stats by a stunning amount that doesnt mean Jackus doesnt have powerful equipment too. Third was she totally forgot that during their entire spar, Jackus was only using one-hand to beat her up with. Although she learned that once one becomes a Sword-Master the concept of one-handed and two-handed sword mastery becomes irrelevant, she didn't expect the output to be sooo massive. She totally let all these information slip through her mind and thought that she could overpower Jackus with sheer stats alone.

"This was fun... But lets end this farce" Jackus slashed his sword from left to right and aimed it at Insania's knee. Being forced to block such a low attack resulted in her sword flying out of her hand.

"You think I haven't noticed you healing? You're no human... You're too dangerous to be left alive" Saying so Jackus kicked Insania in the abdomen again and sent her sprawling in the ground and writhing in pain. From the first slash Jackus knew Insania was something else, no human can remain standing while their guts are opened up like that. Insania slowly got up but she can only stay in a sitting position with her legs spread apart. Heaving a huge sigh she scanned the sword in her left.

She stashed it back in her bag and stared at Jackus, she couldn't form any sentences with how battered her face was but it was going to heal itself in a minute anyways so she didn't care. She knew that if she ever tried to take out a Healthpot Jackus would mercilessly slash at her neck. Thats a painful way to go and the sheer thought of it made her freeze. Accepting her death, she closed her eyes and spread her arms, but a part of her still didn't want to accept defeat and surrender just like this, it wanted to relent and fight back but how could she? She couldn't help but tightly clench her fists. Once she dies every non-player that sees her corpse will slowly but surely forget about her and once she respawns they won't even remember her existence. Add the fact that she'll drop one item, one level and equipment durability. Dying truly is shit.

Seeing such an act Jackus stood in front of Insania and made a downward slash like chopping off a watermelon in two, like an executioner his sword descended unto Insania's head. Insania was still latching on the faintest hope of retaliation and clenched her fist tighter till it bled, putting her last remaining strength on her spread arms.

Then a miracle happened, DUN.. DUN... DUN... The Twin blades of Lust materialized in front of Insania and clashed with Jackus sword. But it wasnt floating in mid air, instead her exerted force and tight grip allowed her to successfully block the downward slash.

Jackus was about to slash again but he felt a stinging pain behind him, Xerca appeared and rapidly stab Jackus sides. As fast as it appeared the Twin Blades of Lust faded to nothingness again, finally having enough strength she pushed herself off the ground and tackled the stunned Jackus.

Authors Note:

Aaaaaah it feels so good beating up my arrogant mc, I wish I could do this to every OP piece of beta fucker I deeply loathe... But I dont hate Overpowered novels, as long as its done right and doesn't have said mc.

But this is actually an extreme eye opener for a masochist like Onille, with this chap he will never underestimate an opponent ever again.
