"Sir, the medication isn't working," The Doctor reported as Zeel began to stir awake, groaning deep guttural sounds.

"Get him out asap," Another Doctor recommended.

"Wait! We need to see how far he can go," said the Asheborn's Representative responsible for Zeel's conditioning in the ionic calibration chamber aka torture chamber.

"Aaaahhhh, let me out please," yelled a young Zeel, tired from all the experiments being conducted on him. It hadn't been that long since he lost his mother. The pain was still a pain to his brain; it didn't matter if he didn't have the emotional distress to accompany it.

"Hush child. Don't forget you are doing this to survive. If you can't survive you have nothing left to feel," The Representative whispered into Zeel's ear.

Zeel's anxiousness then settled down quite a bit. A need for survival was everything he knew.

If he was unable to feel even that, he would become no different from a robot – even fanatics had something to believe in, even evil took pleasure in their acts.

After Zeel collected the crystal, he quickly ran back to the established base as he was unsure of the tunnels' stability.

Not long after Zeel fell asleep, he was later awoken by a disturbance on his wrist. Zeel's Mbeamer had begun to heat up, almost as if it had been temporarily overloaded.

Zeel detected a Multiversal Temporal Anomaly that was somehow related to his spatial and angular frequency location.

Zeel jumped awake and stared intently at his Mbeamer "This is impossible, in the multiverse nobody can have the same signature frequencies, especially not similar to mine… unless... no that's impossible she was never that smart or reckless,"

What Zeel felt was someone accessing the multiverse through his method of travel.

Someone who caused a space and time anomaly using the signature frequency Zeel himself invented.

The only two people Zeel could recall that shared the same frequency with himself would be his father – Tom and sister – Catherine.

But neither of his family members, who were aware of the dangers of Multiversal travels, would attempt an unstable jump.

Based on the information Zeel was currently observing, the jump was unstable and it was a miracle it had succeeded.

"On the bright side, that means that they were still alive," Zeel said feeling no gratification from knowing at least either his sister or parents were alive.

Zeel marked the coordinate of the Mjump into his Mbeamer for further investigation at a later date. He did not have the resources or time to explore the Multiversal Currents at this moment.

It had been exactly one day since Zeel had selected the perfect drilling area; however, the progress of the tunnel to the surface was not proceeding as smoothly as he initially thought.

The tunnel would be unstable at times and even almost crushed him beneath rubble more than once.

Zeel had to quicken the rate of drilling due to his constant worry about the safety of Alice. It had been a couple of days since he last checked in.

With the Umbrella Satellites growing ever more active, Zeel was no longer able to hack into them without being noticed.

If he pushed his luck with any more hacks, maybe he would receive a backlash for his efforts. The last thing he needed was Umbrella launching a nuke to kill Project 'Exodus' indiscriminately.

After a couple of hours of burrowing, Zeel barely managed to breach the surface. Zeel double checked and triple checked all his equipment.

Zeel made sure that all resources were on his body. Then he inspected his body, confirming that the vibranium and new element he coined 'Zeelinium' had successfully bonded with his nanites.

The SRNT had become that much more efficient, but still needed a prolonged period of rest to complete the upgrade to Stage Three.

With the added efficiency of the nanites came minor benefits that could make a greater change. Zeel could hack doors, vehicles, planes, and almost any other machinery by just being near or touching it.

Basically, all previous functions were nearly doubled with just the integration of Zeelinium and Vibranium. Maybe after his prolonged period of rest, he could unlock an entirely new evolutionary path for nanites technology.

Zeel also felt his connection with Alice strengthened, though it was akin to a one-sided connection. Zeel had the aching feeling of unrequited love but he quickly shook the feeling away.

However, Zeel took victories where he could since you never look a gifted horse in the mouth. Well, with Zeel's mentality, he would look a gifted horse in the mouth but it would be done with utmost secrecy.

Making his way through the tunnel to the surface, Zeel was already aware of his targeted destination.

After his torturing session with James, Zeel knew everything about the work Sally and subsequently the Umbrella Corporation was doing in Brazil.

Brazil became the location of any and all biological experiments that ran the risk of disrupting the ecosystem on a Planetary scale. Though most of the experiments were done with a botanist in charge – meaning plants were the main subject of the research.

The Amazon Jungle was still a largely unexplored area with mysteries hidden deep within. Zeel, himself, did not venture deeper into the jungle, regardless of the possible rare metal deposits hidden inside.

Somethings are not worth risking your life for!

Why risk today what you can have for free later? Zeel had an ominous feeling whenever he thought of venturing deeper into the jungle.

Zeel trotted through the jungle for a bit, he encountered a couple of poisonous creatures at every turn. Zeel already made it through the worst of the jungle.

One of the greatest challenges in the Amazon Jungle was the mutated monkeys who shat diamond-hard stones to throw at you.

Zeel has lost count of the amount of time he had been abused by those damn rock poop. He could manage to kill a large number of them, but it would barely put a dent in their numbers.

The reproduction capabilities of mammals had become exponentially greater since the apocalypse.

While running toward the extraction location that should have acted as a surface base for Dr. Sally, Zeel noticed the clearing was already in use by a large number of people.

"Seems a bit too conspicuous, I wonder who would be so brave," Zeel mumbled in confusion. Umbrella Corporation would be subtler concerning matters of research.

He guessed this should be an independent branch of the Umbrella Corporation judging by the lack of guards and combat personnel on the base.

"This should be just a location for research, hmmm. Still won't hurt to be cautious," Zeel said as he ducked behind the nearby shrubs.

Zeel was deeply considered stealing all information from The Umbrella Corporation's Computer. Maybe, he could find out why the satellites were being overloaded on a regular basis.
