Lara stirred awake in Zeel's embrace a little before midday. That was the most satisfying sleep Lara had ever experienced.

Lara remained in her place, staring at the ceiling trying to enjoy the moment just a bit longer.

Zeel's chest was sturdy, but also surprisingly soft and comfortable.

Lara found that his heartbeat mimicked her own as if to provide a sort of comfort one would expect from a very close lover or mother.

It was as if Zeel's body knew exactly what would make her most comfortable.

Zeel opened his eyes and gazed at the woman snuggled on his chest.

Lara looked like a docile kitten, reminding Zeel of Catherine a bit.

Zeel slowly moved his waist forward. Lara gasped and realized that something remained inside her from the previous night.

"Not now Zeel," Lara mumbled still a bit sleepy "Take that thing out. I need weeks to recover before attempting that beast again,"

Zeel laughed slightly and pulled his softened staff from Lara's garden.

The pop sound they heard demonstrated just how tightly fit they were last night.

Lara was pleased to know that Zeel found her insides that comfortable, it belonged to him now.

Lara shook her head to get rid of the morning dizziness, and leaned back, raising her head upwards to score a kiss from her new lover.

Zeel stared at Lara's expectant eyes for a moment, and then awkwardly gave Lara a quick pec on the lips.

Suddenly, the mood turned cold and distant in an instant.

Lara said nothing and slowly removed her weakened body from Zeel and drifted to the other side of the bed.

Lara carefully picked up a bathrobe near the bed and wrapped her naked body, never once looking at Zeel's face.

Zeel was confused about what exactly happened just now.

"Get out!" Lara said staring at the wall in front of her.

She did not even grace Zeel with direct eye contact.

"What?" Zeel asked slightly annoyed wondering if he had misheard her.

"I said GET OUT!" Lara replied an octave higher.

"Why..." Zeel wanted to continue to debate this unexpected outcome but Lara beat him to the explanation.

Tears falling from her eyes onto the floor beneath her feet, but she still did not look at Zeel.

Lara took a deep breath and carefully wiped her tearful eyes "A woman can tell a lot from a kiss Zeel, it is in our nature.

We can tell when you kiss a woman before us. The taste lingering on your lips from the coffee that you drank due to stress at work,"

Lara turned her head to Zeel and showed him the pained look on her face "We can tell when a guy wants a good fuck and leaves you in the morning,"

Zeel remained silent "Lara look, things are a bit more complicated than …"

"Zeel, honestly. I am a bit knackered right now. We can talk about where this relationship is going some other time," Lara raised her hand pausing Zeel, hoping to preserve what was left of her dignity by not getting into a verbal, and possibly physical confrontation.

Zeel's eyes widened "What relationship? There is no relationship here Lara,"

Zeel's unfiltered words were the fire that ignited the fuse that was Lara.

Zeel moved his head to the side, evading a glass cup that shattered on the wall.

Still, Lara was not finished, she shakily rose to her feet and tossed everything off her bedside table.

Broken glass loitered the ground.

"You come into my home and seduce me. We were friends Zeel, friends! You were the one that took this step knowing the type of woman I am.

Do you not respect me at all?" Lara bellowed "You treat me like a slut and want to abandon me in the morning?

Are you even a man? I knew this was a mistake but you said all the right words and there will be consequences if we don't figure out a way to be adult about this relationship we are developing,"

"You are an adult by human standards, everyone makes their own decisions," Zeel replied with the same intensity.

Whoosh

Another glass figurine passed by Zeel's head.

Lara had lost her shit, she walked over the broken glass and directly assaulted Zeel.

Lara threw a punch with all the strength she had left, which was not much considering Zeel's prowess in bed.

Lara started hammering her fist on Zeel's chest "Is that what you think of me? A harlot for the night?"

"Last night was a special night for me, Zeel,"

"I am not that type of woman, just get out!" Lara said as her strength lessened more and more.

Zeel just watched her ramblings, confused about what exactly to do at this moment.

Lara fell to the ground not noticing the broken glass that was already embedded into her feet, and now into her legs as well.

Yet, Zeel still only watched as Lara cried emotionally instead of squealing in pain. The ground beneath Lara's body turned red.

"You are losing too much blood. Don't you feel hurt by the glass?"

Lara scoffed at Zeel "Sometimes the pain of the heart outweighs what you can feel outside. Bugger off, Zeel,"

Zeel turned around ready to leave but paused.

He stared at the weeping Lara and walked to her side, picking her up as he wrapped the nearby sheet around her exposed body.

Lara snuggled into Zeel's chest, she was not a fool, she knew that she would bleed out should the glass remain in her body.

Zeel could heal Lara but he only ever had experience with Lorien and Clone physiology. Lara's physiology might also be different from humans of previous Universes.

It was also a risk to heal a mortal as a weak God like himself.

Still, the moment Zeel exited Lara's building, a car stopped in front of him. The headache that plagued his mind was bearable so Zeel did not mind stealing the car.

Zeel did not put Lara down for a moment, placing her onto his lap as he entered the car. This was to dampen the pain she felt by tactile contact.

Conventional driving habits did not work for Zeel; he would simply have the nanites drive with his hands on the wheel for show.

Zeel stepped on the gas, already knowing the nearest hospital was only three kilometers away by the fastest route.

He was already using his energy to dampen Lara's pain receptors, she was also a strong person innately so the situation was not life-threatening.

Lara was silent the entire time but soon composed herself and slowly drifted into the seat next to Zeel's.

She did not want to touch him or even be near him right now.

Lara thought she could somehow salvage the friendship they had and get to know each other before making any commitments but Zeel made it clear that there was no room for that.

"Why did you abandon your family Zeel?" Lara asked staring out the window, adjusting the sheets covering her body to a better position.

"I did not abandon my wives," Zeel replied for the thousandth time "My wives are Alice and Elizabeth Crawford and …."

Zeel did not get to finish as Lara punched him in the face from her seat.

The car swerved for a moment and stabilized, Lara was not finished as she kept attacking Zeel who was growing increasingly annoyed at her behavior.

"Always the same lying bullshit with you," Lara yelled "You're just a chav, a draft cow, made from a fagged dog's bullocks,"

Lara continued her insults while attacking Zeel until she got tired. Zeel just sighed, when he told the truth nobody believed him.

It was as if the world was begging Zeel to be a liar all the time.

When she was finished venting all the unsolved emotions in her heart Lara calmed down

"Do you know Zeel, I am from a noble house called Croft. The woman of Croft has only been with one man throughout their lives for generations.

It was the respect of ourselves as women, and our support of the adventuring men that made our house great," Lara continued "No man would go somewhere without the woman, and the woman would always be the steady spot in the man's heart.

My mother and father wanted the same for me and I want to make them proud beyond the graves.

I would be damned if I let you destroy my dignity as a woman so you make up your mind and come to me when you are ready to have a serious talk about the future.

You treated me like a harlot, and I was never asking for your responsibility. I was asking for a chance to not be a shame to my family. I want my first lover to be my last lover,"

"First? In high school, you slept with Jim. Don't take me for a fool," Zeel scoffed.

Lara opened her eyes wide and laughed "So much for privacy and not intruding on my information.

You should have looked deeper and known that Jim was a girl until two years ago, and she was the one that showed me all those positions you were so crazy for last night,"

Zeel just scoffed since he already knew that Jim was transgender but he was willing to try anything to avoid taking responsibility at this time.

Seeing that Zeel still looked reluctant to acknowledge what he had done, Lara opened her sheet-wrapped body and pointed to the blood spots on her legs "The blood you wiped on my leg after exiting me this morning. Or is this not enough proof that you took my virginity?"

Zeel averted his eyes and mumbled "That could be anyone's blood,"

Then another round of kicking and fighting started with Lara threatening to run the car off the road.

The oceans could boil over and Zeel would still not take responsibility for anything.
