Third Arc (Fallen Heart) - 205. After The Battle IV

Rose stood up slowly, her heart heavy with grief and regret. She had known Ivetta for years, and despite the woman's treachery, she couldn't help feeling a sense of loss at her passing. She turned her gaze to Angel, her eyes pleading.

"Let's go back," she said softly, "our business here is finished."

Angel nodded in agreement, but before they could leave, he turned to Rose with a grave expression.

"Do you mind if I take care of your friend's corpse?" he asked, his voice low and serious. "If she is found dead here without proof and clear reasons, this could create new problems for your uncle."

Rose's heart sank as she realized the implications of Angel's words. If Ivetta's body was found without any explanation, it could spark new rumors and accusations, potentially damaging her uncle's reputation and his hold on the kingdom. She closed her eyes, trying to hold back the tears that threatened to spill down her cheeks.

"I don't mind," she said in a trembling voice, "just please make it quick."

Angel nodded solemnly, his face set in a mask of grim determination. He dropped to one knee and touched Ivetta's body with his hand. As he did, a dark aura began to envelop the fallen woman, melting her body into nothingness.

King Eudon watched in stunned silence as the process unfolded. He had known Angel for years, and he trusted his abilities implicitly. Still, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease at the sight before him. It was as if the laws of nature were being bent to Angel's will.

Angel's eyes met King Eudon's, his gaze was unwavering. He knew that the king was still processing what had just happened and that he was likely feeling a mix of fear and awe. "King Eudon," he said in a calm voice, "keep today's incident a secret, also keep my 'teleport' ability from others. If the other kingdoms find out, they will consider me a threat and make Euphorion their target."

The king nodded quickly, his eyes wide with understanding. Angel could see the fear in his eyes.

With the matter settled Angel turned his attention to Rose. She clutched his hand tightly, her eyes red from tears. He could feel the weight of her emotions pressing down on him like a physical force.

"Shall we go?" he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Rose nodded slowly, her eyes meeting his. But before they could leave, King Eudon's voice rang out behind them, cutting through the silence like a sword.

"Wait!" he shouted, his tone urgent. "Rose... Are you sure you will spend the rest of your life with him?"

Angel and Rose turned back to face the king, their expressions calm but resolute. They knew that this question had been weighing heavily on the king's mind and that he was likely feeling a mix of fear and uncertainty.

Rose's heart raced as she stood before King Eudon, her eyes meeting him with fierce determination. She knew that her uncle was struggling with the idea of her leaving with Angel, but she was resolute in her decision. Her feelings for Angel had never wavered, even in the face of danger and uncertainty.

She looked over at Angel, who stood beside her with calm confidence. His eyes met hers, and she could feel his hand tightening around hers, a silent reassurance that they were in this together.

"Yes, I'm sure," Rose said firmly, turning her gaze back to her uncle. "My feelings for him will never change."

King Eudon's expression softened at her words, and he looked at Angel with newfound respect. He had always known that Angel was a powerful and mysterious figure, but seeing the depth of his niece's feelings for him had given him a newfound appreciation for the man.

"Angelus Raizel," he said, his voice filled with a sense of resignation. "I leave my niece to you. Take good care of her."

Angel nodded, his eyes meeting King Eudon's with a steady intensity. He could sense the weight of the king's words.

After the king spoke, a dark aura began to envelop them, the same energy that Angel had used to teleport them to this place. Rose could feel the power surging around them, the air thick with its intensity.

And then, with a sudden rush of energy, they were gone. King Eudon could only watch as they disappeared from his sight, their forms dissolving into the darkness.

For a moment, he was left standing there in stunned silence, his mind reeling with the realization of what had just happened. He had always known that Rose was destined for great things, but he had never imagined that her path would take her down this dangerous and uncertain road.

"I thought that my biggest mistake was to give Ilex the Heart Family's secret poison," he muttered to himself, sinking into his chair with a heavy sigh. "But now I know that my biggest mistake was giving Rose to him."

He knew that there was no going back now, no changing the path that Rose had chosen.
