“I only have one last thing I’m confused about. Who is the other girl? Who is the one who poisoned and assassinated you?”
“A woman who I love.” The Queen spoke up sadly.
“You love?” I let out a cry.
She chuckled. “What? Did you think a beautiful young woman wouldn’t play in her youth? She wasn’t just my companion, but my partner! Oh, don’t look so surprised. Do you claim not to bed the women in your party?”
“Ah… ahem… that…” I blushed, realizing the Queen was actually bisexual.
Although all the girls in my party played together, I didn’t think of them specifically as bisexual. The closest was probably Lydia, who had been mentally prepared to satisfy women and men. For the most part, their interactions with each other only took place with me, and they didn’t pursue relationships with each other outside of my bedroom. I couldn’t even say how I’d feel if they did start showing an interest in each other.
“Well, I’m perhaps the one to blame. I took my relationship with her too casually so that when I pursued Edward, she flew into a jealous rage. I had hoped… that sharing would resolve everything, but in the end, she wasn’t up to it.”
“What? Sharing?”
“The King and I had an open relationship. I brought her to be his second wife. Unfortunately,” she sighed. “I didn’t consider their own feelings in the matter.”
I didn’t know why I was surprised by these words. It wasn’t abnormal in this world for men to have multiple women, and for a King to have two wives and a harem seemed pretty normal. However, it still put me off guard that such a woman existed other than my own girls. I actually found myself kind of liking the Queen.
“What do you mean?” I looked at the King. “Aren’t you a man?”
After him questioning my manhood a few times, I decided to fling it back in his face. Reaching out and grabbing my girls, I pulled them all to me. The girls all blushed but held me. The Queen’s eyes widened for a second and then she chuckled, seemingly impressed with what she saw. That caused me to finally blush. I wasn’t that bold yet.
The King glowered angrily. “I had no feelings for that woman! Besides, I only wanted one wife!”
“You say that even though you played with every maid in the palace!” The Queen snorted, crossing her arms, before glancing over at me. “He has a thing for maids. Why do you think he was into me so much?”
I blinked, remembering the murals, “Is that what happened? She dressed as a maid and tricked the King to her bed?”
“She used Illusion magic!” The King snorted. “The two of them played a trick on me! How could I not be enraged after I went to bed with a petite thing and woke up the next day to that beast of a woman!”
“So… you rejected her… but she was already pregnant.” I said, causing the King to lower his head in shame. “So, she killed you and then fled the castle. Then the Queen gave her life to save your sorry ass.”
“…”
I think I understood now why his kids weren’t that impressed with their father. After everything that happened, he ended up fleeing his responsibilities too, remaining here to live with the ghost of his dead wife.
“You know, you didn’t just reject that woman… you also rejected your wife too!” I said, causing the Queen to look up in surprise, wet tears in her eyes from finally getting the acknowledgement she never thought she’d earn.
“What do you know?” He shot back. “You can’t even choose between one woman, so you surround yourself with dozens. Your happiness will never last!”
“That’s not for me you decide!” I shot back. “I will do everything for these women of mine. I love them, respect them, cherish them. I will support them in everything, and I will never spare them an ounce when I can be giving them my all! That’s what I believe. Some say I don’t control them enough, or I let them get away with too much as women and slaves, but people who say that are just insecure cowards!
“If you have to control a woman’s every action to feel secure with them. If you have to force them to act monogamously or reject the feelings of other women for fear that you’ll lose what you have, then what you have wasn’t so strong to begin with. That’s what I believe. My women won’t cheat on me not because I ordered their loyalty, but because they don’t feel they need anyone else! I am their everything, and they are mine!”
“Deek…”
“Master…”
“My love…”
“Oh my…” The Queen blushed.
“You…” The King’s expression darkened. “Get out!”
I pulled out my sword. “I’ve seen enough to know what I need to do. I will tear down the lore you built, and I will forge a new story!”
Honestly it is all the queens fault.. and I disagree with you should be okay with everything your partner wants or it isn't love thing.. she cheated on her first lover with the king. Both of her lovers wanted nothing to do with eachother and the whole open relationship sounded like more of a compromise with the queen and king so the queen could keep both of her relationship and the king get something in return. The queen finally got one of her lovers on board and did a sneaky scummy way to force the king to be with both of them after he compromise already to share the queen with others. He has the right to not love or marry anyone else. Though he is scum for not taking care of the child but he was pissed and probably would have calmed down and atleast agreed at one point to help raise the kid. But the person who was hurt the most and rightfully so to be angry tried to kill the king in madness. The biggest victim was the first lover. She didn't deserve that from the queen. It would have bin the king if he was the one that died though.
Agreed, though I do respect the queen because she didn’t let him die, yes one lover took off and could not receive closure, but she gave her life for his in a way correcting a piece of the issue she cause.
@Blacki well she paid for doing things wrong. Sad she had to pay with her life. I don't dislike her but I'm not going to pity her. She completely ignored her lovers and paid the price. May have bin to steep, but in that aspect I have no pity.
Queen finally had her first lover on board and just needed more patience for the second to come around.
The second lover the king didn't probably get along with the first lover because she probably never shown him anything to like because she was pissed that the queen cheated on her.
He didn't want to marry her because he had no love or seen nothing good in the second lover from what he said about.
Though he felt bad for the first lover and compromised with open relationship to make everyone happy. Also he said he wouldn't marry anyone else because the first lover and him where never on good terms but he respected her and his wife to not marry anyone else. The wife the queen should have made the slow route have them drink and play games to make them close and have a mutual respect between all three. The queen tried to hard to get them together and should have bin happy with them just having a mutual respect for eachother.
@Jetdy Again I agree she played games and won death as a prize, I just like that she died so he could live, like a small redemption ark I guess, not forgiven but a good start
@Blacki it is a good sacrifice it showedthat the queen wasn't completely selfish, I just don't like the MC yelling at the king for his mistakes and ignoring the queens feelings when he really didn't. He compromised. Also don't like how the MC blames him for leaving the kingdom when he tried making his son ready for the throne and the son isn't stepping up. Don't get me wrong the king did a poor job with just running off and not making the transition for his son to rule hard, but the king gave the kid 35 years to step.
The baby thing was his only mistake but come on who in that spot would have the level head when they where forced to sleep with someone they didn't want to sleep with. I wouldn't even have the patience that the king has. So that is the only thing I put against him and I hope he atleast tried to help the first queen's lover from the background. If not then I wouldn't pity the king.
I agree with all, through the fact that he f*cks maids he see here and there was bad.
@NagiDragon you don't think that fair though his wife gets two lover and he get to fill his own lonely night. The queen agreed with it and probably joined in at times. He hated the first lover and she hated him. Like I said the queen two lovers wanted nothing to do with eachother at the start. Thus he did nothing wrong. He did not cheat he just filled his needs in someone else and never loved anybody else or wanted more wives. The queen has two lovers and she probably join in at times with the king.
@Jetdy Actually...... she didn't, she really didn't like his maid fetish, but I wasn't said that he was wrong on who he sleeps with.
He actually seduces them and would not mind raping one if he wants to. He never actually cared about froming a relationship with them, even through he intiated it
@Jetdy That was a SPOILER, thats way I used a spolier coloum
@NagiDragon
I don't like that spoiler.. the king was raped but he was the rapist the hole time is stupid. It a pointless thing to make the queen look better for no reason. She isn't a bad person she just f***ed up with her love life. Don't turn the king into a monster just to give a queen an easy out. I can see how she hated it because what she actually wanted wasn't going to happen or happening fast enough
