Quan Yu and the girls kept the other corpses in their rings and were dual cultivating by a quiet spot by a river. 

They would need the mental strength to start refining as many corpses as they could tomorrow. 

Thus Quan Yu started dual cultivating first with Rhuu Yen, then with Rin Er as the girls alternated standing guard. 

Maya instead was used to channel extra chi into Quan Yu's back, and he was amazed how much more chi this Maya was inserting into his back. It was clearly double, and both he and Rhuu Yen and Rin Er were struggling to absorb so much chi. 

However, it accelerated Quan Yu's healing, so he got Yin Yin to cultivate while Maya inserted chi into them, letting her recover from her ghastly wounds. 

The next morning, Quan Yu refined both Heavenly Kings Zen Hu and Shu Shan. He refined Shu Shan first, allowing her to cultivate while Maya inserted her massive chi into her. Shu Shan and Yin Yin really did a number on each other, both having slash wounds all over their bodies, including their breasts which were sliced open and were nearly sliced off! 

Shu Shan had to cultivate naked like Yin Yin to ensure her healing body was not stuck together with her clothes. 

Rin Er refined her other brother Xue Ren and one of the Peak Xiantian Elders named Gu Man. She now had 3 puppets including Xue Fang

Rhuu Yen started refining her first two corpse puppets, both Ice Fairies named Ling She and Mun San. She was reluctant to refine the corpse torn in half, leaving her for last. 

Feeling exhausted and having massive headaches, they took a break for lunch and another round of dual cultivation. 

While he dual cultivated, Quan Yu managed to practice his control and started controlling both Zen Hu and Shu Shan at the same time. 

This was quite a difficult task as it needed him to split his attention in two, thus he left his own body to cultivate while he moved around using the two bodies. 

Reading their memories, he discovered that all 4 Heavenly Kings had been busy with the numerous clashes between the righteous sects and the evil and demonic sects, which had merged together for this looming war.

However, the balance between the 12 Righteous sects and the 8 evil and 4 Demonic sects seemed to be broken as first, the Carnal Anarchy Sect was destroyed. The main suspect was the Phoenix King. 

Then the Corpse Sect was destroyed, with evidence showing that the Ice Queen destroyed them.

However after that, both the Phoenix King and Ice Queen had disappeared.

The Lightning Spear Zen Hu had placed looking for the eunuch Quan Yu aside to investigate the destruction of the 2 sects and the 2 Righteous Swords.

Zen Hu has especially worried about Yin Yin, who he held a flame for.

Shu Shan on the other hand, was secretly following Zen Hu, whom she had a crush on.

Furthermore, Shu Shan had met up with the 3 top members of the Ice Fairies Sect, who were searching for their sectmaster and travelled with her as the Water Empress had a long relationship with the Ice Fairies. 

"What a mess" Quan Yu thought as he scanned their minds for any news about Wai Ling.

To his surprise, he discovered that the Shadow King had contacted the Emperor to meet.

As Heavenly Kings, Zen Hu and Shu Shan were two of the highest ranking state secrets, as they were the highest tier martial artists, serving directly under the Emperor and were higher ranking than the Generals of the Army.

From what he could piece together, the Shadow King intended to wipe out the Righteous Sects and wanted to make a deal with the Emperor.

The Emperor had already burned his bridges with the Immortal Sword Kai Shin, who was arguably the most powerful of the Righteous Swords, when he took Kai Shin's sweetheart Lai Sim as his 3td Royal Concubine. This also made the rest of the Righteous Swords dislike the Emperor.

So he was open to the idea, confident that his Heavenly Kings could keep the Shadow King in check. 

As usual, the 4 Heavenly Kings kept their council, as their job was to serve, not advise the Emperor.

However, it was clear all 4 of them were against the idea as they had close ties with many of the Righteous Sects and their leaders.

 "Foolish Emperor. It seems you really enjoy cuckolding people. Not only me, you did it to the Immortal Sword! What a madman" Quan Yu thought

"Wait a minute, if the Shadow King is going to be there... Wai Ling might be there too! We should head back to the Forbidden City!" Quan Yu thought.

Having changed his plans and telling Rhuu Yen and Rin Er about it, they changed directions and headed back to the Forbidden City. 

Quan Yu continued practicing, and after a week was now able to control 4 corpse puppets at the same time. 

Rin Er and Rhuu Yen could still only control one at a time, as they were still only mid level xiantians, while Quan Yu was a High Level Xiantian, the same level as the Corpse Sectmaster the Ghoul used to be. 

He got acquainted with the Lightning Spear and the Water Empress' fighting abilities as he did with the Ice Queen, and referred to them as such, dehumanizing them so he didn't feel guilty about using their dead bodies

As for Lin Shan the Poison Lady, she was too dangerous and he won't use her except as a final solution 

Maya the Demoness was used only as a battery when he dual cultivated. He searched her memories and found that although she is powerful, she didn't even transform yet to her more powerful form! She too was too dangerous to use and was his secret weapon.

As for the Enchantress Xhu Lang, her abilities were mysterious, even from her memories. She could control souls. What did that mean? Was she telepathic? He intended to use her in his next battle to try her out.

All three of their memories included a vast knowledge of their own field of martial arts. This added to his already vast amount of martial knowledge.

While some martial arts required a special kind of body, like that of the Poison Lady or the Demoness, the other types could be learned like the fire arts of the Phoenix Clan and Ice abilities of the Ice Fairies. Furthermore. some bodies like Rhuu Yen's Yin Constitution made her much more talented in those Ice arts.

Quan Yu discovered that the special corpses had abilities that could not be learned.

Although he had his forbidden technique to steal cultivations, allowing him to steal someone like the Poison Lady's abilities, he wasn't willing to fuck dead bodies, and it was unsure if he even could steal a dead person's constitution.
