Princess Angelica and her slave Lex walked out of the dungeon with him helping her out.

They still had some semblance of clothes, although the Princess' panties had been ripped to shreds

Fortunately, no one could see beneath her torn skirt unless they were intentionally looking, but the carriage driver wouldn't dare.

He had waited for days together with a few teachers from the academy, to oversee the group once the team returned

After all, the team consisted of some of the brightest graduating students of the Academy

"Where... where are the rest?" a teacher asked

"Dead... they're all dead" Princess Angelica said

"Dead? How? They are Level 3s!" another teacher said

"Can level 3s handle a lich? How about a bone dragon? Mummy king? Death knights?" Angelica asked, her anger rising

"Liches? Bone dragons? What are you talking about? There was no such..." the teacher argued

"That's because nobody has gone that deep before. Go see for yourself! Their bodies are still there" Angelica fumed as she pulled Lex into the carriage

"Home driver!" she commanded

They returned home, had a bath and Angelica enjoyed her dual cultivation with a much longer and bigger Lex

However, unbeknown to Lex and Angelica the next days brought new troubles

Firstly, the parents of the dead students complained about how only Princess Angelica and her slave were the only one that survived, while their kids had died.

Did the academy give special protection for her? If so why did the slave survive? Many of them were from wealthy families, so their complains were heard by the Academy and taken seriously.

Secondly, wasn't the slave a cripple with a artificial arm and leg? 

If the princess had the ability to heal him, why didn't she heal the rest of the team?

They retested Princess Angelica and found that she was incredibly a Level 5, the same level as some of the lesser Mage Towers, the Chief Magician of the Royal Court and even the Headmaster of the Academy!

If so, that further created suspicions that she only bothered to heal her favorite slave and left the rest to die. 

Although the Royalty had a large influence in the Royal Academy, there was another force that were arguably more powerful. 

That was the Magicians of the Tower, especially the Level 6 Arch Mages of the Towers of Fire, Water and Air!

They were incensed that a Level 5 master would allow her fellow students from the academy to die like that, no matter how talented she was or the fact she was the Princess of the Kingdom. 

While all that was going on, Angelica had gathered Jessica, Stacy and Jane to dual cultivate with Lex, oblivious to the outrage that was going on. 

As Lex was more powerful now, having gone up two levels to become a Xiantian, the amount of energy he could inject into them was much more than before. 

It didn't take 3 days for Jessica and Jane to progress to level 3, and Stacy was very close to levelling up herself!

However, the next day, Princess Angelica and Lex were summoned for a disciplinary tribunal hearing by the Tower of Magicians!

Princess Angelica appeared in her school uniform, while Lex seated outside the hall to be questioned alone next. 

She looked around with shock, seeing who was in attendance. 

She stood in what was a circle on ground level, surrounded by the tribunal that sat above them, encircling them from all sides. 

There was the Pope, the only Level 7 in existence, the 3 Level 6 Tower Magicians of Fire, Water and Air, and the other Tower Mages of Earth, The druid of Nature, the headmaster of the Academy and Monor the Chief Magician of the Royal Court.

King Luthurus was there to chair the tribunal, with 3 famed Level 5 generals seated there with him, namely Duke Reinhart, Duke Flamehart and Margrave Goldenlion, the very fathers of her 3  friends Jessica, Stacy and Jane. 

"Angelica.... you have been summoned to answer several accusations aimed against you..." the King said solemnly

"...the most serious among them was to let your team mates die, even though you had the ability to save them" he said

"Lies father. How could I, as a Level 3 at that time, save them? Have you sent an expedition in to check what I said we faced?" Angelica asked

"Yes... we've sent in our forces" one of the Generals, Margrave Goldenlion said

"And?" Angelica asked

"Indeed we saw remnants of a massive war. Thousands of skeletons, zombie and all sorts of undead. Even a bone dragon and a lich like you reported" Duke Reinhart said.

"So?" Angelica tapped her foot, looking spoiled and pampered

"There was no sign of a mummy king" the Duke Flamehart added

"Disintegrated! I cast holy light you know" Angelica answered back

"There is no way a level 3...." the Mage of the Tower of Earth said. 

"I... we broke through after defeating the bone dragon and lich! Holy light is a Level 5 spell isn't it?" Angelica asked

The Pope nodded "Indeed it is my child" he said

The members of the tribunal whispered among themselves

"Still, there is no precedent of someone double promoting levels in history. Its practically impossible" the Mage of the Tower of Air named Lucius said

"What level do you place a Bone Dragon? How about a lich?" she retorted

"A Bone Dragon and lich would each be around a level 5 or 6... maybe even 7" the headmaster of the Academy said

"And if a level 3 defeats a level... say 6, how far can she be promoted to?" Angelica asked again

"5" the headmaster mumbled

"Theoretical or not, there is no way a level 3 can beat a bone dragon AND a lich! Even I would need help just to beat one of them, let along 2" the Druid of Nature named Amun said

"Do you have a summoned hero?" Angelica smirked

"The cripple? Captain Cuck?" Monor the Chief Magician of the Court sniggered 

"His name is Lex! You thought he was useless since he didn't have mana or aura. But he's a swordmaster beyond anyone in this land, and once he figured out what was mana and aura, he could do both!" she said

The tribunal gasped

"I did hear a rumor of him defeating the Aura and Mana instructors Kimball and Lewis, but they denied this" the headmaster said

"He did! I was there! And that isn't the best part! His most precious ability, is to level up others" she said as the members started clamoring among themselves

If Lex was here, he would have prevented her from revealing this. But he didn't anticipate she would be pushed into a corner so fast.

"Do you have any proof of this?" the Tower Master of Fire, Thomas asked

"Me. I'm proof. I went from a Level 2 to the equal of many masters here, a level 5 practically in weeks" she said

"Is this true?" the Water Tower Mage, a beautiful woman of around 40 asked. Her name was Agartha, the famous Water Witch. She had been asked to be the Mage of the Water Tower for years but she refused. It was only recently, when the Fire Tower Mage Thomas got promoted to Level 6 that she agreed to balance the power among the Towers.

"And I'm not the only one. My friends Lady Jessica of House Reinhart. Lady Stacy of House Goldenlion and Lady Jane of House Flameheart were pushed to level 2, and as of yesterday Jessica and Jane are all Level 3 now" she said

The 3 Generals were shocked. They had no idea about their daughters as they had been busy with the investigation, sending in squads into the dungeon to retrieve the bodies and investigate the monsters in there. 

"Bring him in" the King ordered

The door opened and Lex entered, looking at the many famous mages and then at Angelica who looked at him apologetically.

"Princess Angelica said you can improve levels" King Luthurus said, getting to the point right away. 

Lex raised his eyebrows and glanced at Angelica. She avoided his gaze

"Can you show us your technique?" the King asked

"No!" Angelica interrupted

"Angelica. Him proving your words will go a long way to prove your credibility in this case. Captain Cuck... will you demonstrate?" the King asked

"Of course your Majesty. But can I suggest bringing in Stacy? She's about to break through today" he said

"Fine! Bring in all 3 of them, Lady Reinhart, Lady Goldenlion and Lady Flamehart" the King commanded

The guard ran off to fetch them
