A pipevine swallowtail flies on the purple aster bush planted on the balcony of Ageha's bedroom. Seeing this innocent fellow, Ageha paused the video he was watching, then went towards the butterfly.

He didn't get closer, fearing he might scare it away, so he just observed it at a distance good enough for him to see.

It was an adult pipevine swallowtail. It fluttered it's wings slowly as it moved along the center of the small aster flower. The flower swayed as it tried to cater the weight of the adult butterfly.

Ageha found it interesting and begin watching the movement of the butterfly. This pipevine swallowtail has a wingspan reaching 12 inches. It was quite big, and it's wings have a beautiful color of black with a vibrant blue iridescence on the hind wings. "...this should be a male butterfly..." He muttered.

After a while, the butterfly finally let go of the aster flower and flew away. Ageha sighed and closed his eyes. He caressed the middle of his brows with his index finger, then opened his mouth to whisper something. "Emperor Augustus, did you see that beautiful butterfly just now...how about...hmm?" Feeling the top of his hair moved, Ageha reached out his right hand and offered his index finger.

The thing on the top of his head saw this and immediately flew over his finger. When Ageha felt something touch his finger, he slowly lowered his hand, then stopped when his hand reached his line of sight.

Opening his eyes, Ageha's long eyelashes fluttered open revealing beautiful light brown eyes that turned golden whenever they were illuminated by light. Within his eyes reflected a big butterfly with wings identical to that of a color of his eyes.

Ageha felt like he was blinded. Sighing once more, he stared at the big butterfly in his finger, fluttering its wings as if provoking him.

"Emperor Augustus, the first almighty Emperor. Can you change your color to something darker? Or maybe not gold?"

As if it were understood, Emperor Augustus moved it's wings aggressively. Ageha could feel cool wind sliding over his skin, making him lightly tickled.

"Fine. Fine. Don't be angry. Though I don't like bright colors...I like yours." Not convinced, Emperor Augustus suddenly flew towards Ageha's face. It landed on top of the bridge of his nose. So, it crawled from the bridge of his nose to the tip, as if it was looking Ageha eye to eye. Emperor Augustus' hairy face appeared in front of Ageha with a blazing fighting spirit. "Okay, okay. Your golden wings are like my eyes, shining like a bright sun. The black patterns were so gorgeous, especially those tiny white dots towards the end of your wings, it's like a fierce leopard. So, courageous and strong. Emperor Augustus is the most beautiful and majestic butterfly I have ever met, is that okay?"

Satisfied with the poetic praise, Emperor August fluttered it's wings two times, as if nodding. "Then can you go back now? I'm going to watch this again."

Emperor Augustus didn't disappear, instead it flew to Ageha's laptop, resting on top of his keyboard, specifically the letter "I". Ageha looked at it for a second, then ignored it afterwards. He adjusted his seat and sat in front of his study table again. Pressing the spacebar, the video played again.

In the video, the young face of President Song appeared. Ageha watched several of President Song's press conferences explaining many things about evolutionary humans. The more he watched the more he felt weird.

While his eyes were focused on the screen, he lightly poked Emperor Augustus' wing and told it his suspicion.

"Hey, Emperor Augustus, don't you think there were many conspiracies hidden in these videos? Anyway, this President Song and Dr. Long are very suspicious."

Emperor Augustus was poked, it looked at Ageha's index finger poking it. Seeing as Ageha's finger was coming again, Emperor Augustus swiftly dodged up and climbed on his fingertip.

Ageha felt Emperor Augustus' tiny legs and couldn't help but move his finger left and right. Seeing Emperor Augustus stuck on his finger, Ageha slows his finger movement, then continues talking.

"These two talked for so long. Every video is more than 20 minutes and almost 15 minutes of it came from their mouths. President Song has a glib tongue, while Dr. Long...I dunno what to say. Is he okay? Like, did he know that people can't follow his words?" Ageha wave his finger two times, then complain again. "Emperor Augustus, do you understand what he was saying? Yesterday, when I watched his so-called "Scientific Explanation for Human Evolution", I almost got a nosebleed! It was a really scientific explanation! My brain almost shut down. I almost thought he was speaking in different language, instead of English."

Slumping on his desk, while looking at the still playing video with grievance, Ageha felt frustrated. "Emperor Augustus, even watching these videos...I didn't get any good answer to our situation. But I did realize that both of them really were a good team. Look, combining their name, it would be Long Song. It's funny isn't it? All their speeches were so long, and the President's Song's words were like lyrics of a song. Really good to hear, but I feel goosebumps hearing them. I wonder if he's an evolutionary human as well. Like he has hypnosis or something."

Ageha chuckled lightly, then his smile turned into a sigh. Ageha wanted to just drive these crazy problems away!

"Anyway, it doesn't matter. Even if we don't know, no one knows about us anyway. So, that's it. I'm done. I don't want to watch these crazy conspiracies ever again!"

Looking at Emperor Augustus again, Ageha couldn't help but sigh.

A week ago, Ageha found out that he became one of those...those unreachable stars. Those untouchable sun. Those meteorites that burn in the sk– He can't think of any words to sarcastically describe them anymore. But, that's right, he just found out that he was the same as those crazy arrogant young masters with their "we are chosen by god" attitude oozing out of their heads!

At first he thought he was just a late bloomer. Although, it was unheard of, he was already fifteen years old, brimming with so much youthful sunshine, but he suddenly changed race! That's right, change race! For normal humans, those arrogant evolved humans are already different species than them. No, he was one of those arrogant fools now.

Ageha still can't believe it.

The first day he met Emperor Augustus, he just thought it was another new emerging butterfly in their greenhouse. Since his father loves, no...umm, since his father was so obsessed with butterflies, that even he, a boy, was named Ageha.

There's nothing wrong with butterflies, but he was annoyed sometimes because of his name. He wanted a more powerful and cool name! Look how cool and badass Emperor Augustus' name is! His father's name is Eduardo Rocca, how cool is that?! But he, on the other hand, has a girly name, Ageha Rocca! And they are not even living in Japan, ah! He was half, so it's kind of acceptable, but it was still a girl's name! His mother's name was even cooler. Her name is exactly the same as that rabbit ghoul from that century old anime, Tokyo ghoul! Touka Kirishima!

Fine, century was an exaggeration. But it's still from 60 or 70 years ago.

Anyway, Emperor Augustus is a monarch butterfly. With huge wings larger than its kind, it has golden colored wings with black vein-like pattern and milky white leopard spots on the edge of its wings.

Ageha didn't know when exactly did it start, but when he was still a child, he always had this dream. He always appeared in this beautiful huge fantasy garden.

The garden was really beautiful. It was an open space garden, but saying it's a garden...is quite belittling it...well slightly. Since that garden really looked like a field. Ageha was just a child back then. So before he thought that every land that has flowers and plants, trees and butterflies was a garden. That's why, until now, Ageha unconsciously called this field of flowers, a garden, even though he knew that it was a huge field.

This field of flowers is so magnificent and beautiful, that Ageha really believed that it was just a dream. This dream-like world, Ageha often dreamed about it. So often that he knew with just the smell what kind of field of flowers is within that direction.

The garden is like a big farmland of flowers and trees. There's so many species of trees, plants and flowers here with varieties of colors. And at the very center of this huge field was a huge tree. Huge should not be appropriate to describe it, as it was a gigantic tree, like those trees in western fantasy stories. That's right, that tree is like the tree of life that almost reached the heights of the sky.

Looking at it from a distance, the tree seemed like a normal tree, except that it was a giant. It has numerous branches with vibrant leaves. The tree is really gorgeous, as it looks like a giant version of a Willow tree. However, coming closer to the tree, under it was an even more gorgeous scene.

If the tree is a giant, then how huge are its roots? The answer is, "I don't know." Ageha doesn't know. He has only seen the surface of those roots but not the entirety. Nevertheless, seeing as the surface of the root could already form a huge spacious hall by itself under the tree, then just imagine how long and huge these roots were underneath.

Under the tree, it's huge roots formed an opening, a huge arc 12 feet tall, and it was wide enough to fit in a hundred people all at once. Ageha felt tiny just crossing this huge, huge opening.

What's inside was even more marvelous. It was a huge spacious hall. The floor was surprisingly marbled, it even has a sculptured design of flowers with those curvy thin and thick branches and tentacles. There are also grasses sticking out from every crack of the floor marble. And the combination of these grasses and marble floor made it look like an ancient ruin.

This time for sure, Ageha was sure that this huge hall was a garden. The hall was divided into an "X" shape. Water was used to form the "X", and Ageha was standing on the bottom opening of that "X". That is where the huge arc opening is.

In the middle of that "X", is a circle grass floor. In there a magical plant lies. It has a huge beautiful flower that Ageha didn't know the species of. But the flower looks like Dahlia. It's center is yellow, then the petals surrounding it were dark red, but the following petals per line turned lighter color– from dark red to orange– making the flower look like it was on fire. It's stalk was thick as his arm, and it was hairy, looking prickling in just a glance.

When Ageha first entered this dream, and walked inside this beautiful garden-hall, in the leaf of that magical Dahlia flower, there was an egg.

Ageha knew it was a butterfly egg, he had been seeing this thing since he was born. Although, it was only one egg, unlike the usual where you will see dozens of eggs in one leaf. More so, it looked a bit big to be an ordinary butterfly egg. But Ageha really didn't think that much, since this was just his dream after all.

Never would he thought, that this dream wasn't a dream at all, but his spiritual world. The flower is the center of his spiritual world, and everything here is nurtured under this flower.

The Dahlia at the center of his spiritual world, is his power core. It turned into a flower, in order to support the growth of his Emperor Augustus, who morphed into a monarch butterfly from an egg. And as for the giant Willow tree, Ageha would never know that this tree is a very terrible tree. That will make him shiver and filled with goosebumps in the future.

Fortunately or unfortunately, Ageha didn't know all of these.

Ageha was currently living in the Philippines. A country which is a little backward than those big name countries.

Although, Philippines was a third world country, it was still considered as modernized and advanced than the other countries in the same stance. After all, the Philippines only lack information and technology. Everything else, this country could compete with those richer countries.

This is why Ageha was helpless. He was born in this country, in his current city. He has been here since his lifetime. And who wouldn't know that this country lacks evolutionary humans. This is also the reason why, Philippines couldn't get any higher than its current status.

Evolutionary humans born in this country will immediately be taken to America or China for registration. Genesis will not let them go as well, so they don't have a choice but to remain in those countries.

And there is only one branch of Genesis stationed here. And based on his observation for the past week, the Genesis Manila branch is just a bunch of empty scrap. It was there for decoration, nothing else.

Inside was empty, and there isn't even one piece of equipment for evolutionary humans there. Ageha even speculated that the only detector there was already malfunctioning.

Anyway, as far as he could tell, those detector devices were only used for finding/hunting unregistered evolutionary humans; for criminals and for those who choose to hide. It's already 50 years, but many still don't like and resist Genesis. That's why, many evolutionary humans hide the facts that they were evolutionary human beings and lived normal life like any other.

And it seems that one or both his parents were the latter.

Thinking about it, Ageha couldn't help but sigh again.

He doesn't know if he should tell about it to his parents or not.

I researched a lot of butterflies and flowers in this novel.

So, let me shared those butterflies and flowers too! Btw, all these pictures were from Google!

This is a monarch butterfly. It looks beautiful, but I'm not a fan of caterpillars very much.
