Ageha only has shallow knowledge about evolutionary humans. In the Philippines, these evolutionary humans are like rare gems and the endangered pandas that couldn't be touched and could only be watched from afar. Ageha actually didn't care much about them before. This is why he was so ignorant about them.

He was only just a bookworm, who loved to read, and sometimes digged out old Japanese anime from before. Although he preferred to read, but those anime that could be called "antiques" were so good, Ageha fell in love with them after just one episode.

He was just a carefree student, who just turned high school. But a week ago, this carefree life was thrown upside down.

Ageha doesn't like the subject of evolved humans that much. He felt that this evolution was so forced that it looked more like another experimental mutation from that virus 54 years ago.

That's right, after Genesis Pharmaceutical opened that so called 'limiter' drug for evolved humans, like a virus, multiple mutations occurred within the following years after the discovery of evolved humans.

As of today, based on information Ageha had collected, there are a total of four generations of evolved humans.

The first generation were those people who first emerged as evolved humans. Although there are human rights, many crazy lunatics still couldn't help but experimented on some first generation.

The results of these crazy experiments were the second generation.

Ageha didn't know how it happened, but from what he could understand, the first generation tended to develop severe manic disorder. Because of the chaotic psychic energy inside their body, they always go out of control. A good example of this was the little Firefly, the first evolutionary human to be discovered. He accidentally killed off his parents after unconsciously setting their house on fire.

Little Firefly had a cognitive disorder, he didn't know anything and was just obeying his instinct. And so he was more prone to going out of control. Because of this, he became a regular customer of Genesis Pharmaceutical drug called limiter.

This limiter was actually used to suppress the ability of the evolutionary human. How's it's done, Ageha doesn't have a clue. He tried listening carefully to Dr. Long's short lesson but he really doesn't understand it.

Second Generation humans evolved from these. Maybe from excessive drug injections, or maybe from some inhumane experimental conducts. But the fact is that the second generation were no longer human is true.

If this is a fantasy world where you could meet those big boobs, rabbit-eared babe, and cat-eared Lolita, then Ageha would have been so happy that he could now ascend to heaven. But it wasn't.

Second generation humans were half human - half beast. Ageha couldn't imagine their painful journey just so they maintain this kind of appearance. Moreover, they were weak and easily got sick. Currently, second generation humans are more endangered than pandas. They are weak and do not have a lot of physical and mental strength.

Nevertheless, Ageha could say that they were really beautiful.

On the other hand, the third generation were the opposite. Again, Ageha didn't know how they turned out like this. Ageha could only be called third generation in one word– werebeast. That's right, they were beastmen, ah. Those who could shape shifted into their animal form and human form or vice versa, whenever they wanted.

However, these third generations inherited the first generation's manic problems. They are at risk of developing bipolar. Even if they weren't, they would still be experiencing symptoms of depression and manic disorder. And when this happens, they won't be able to maintain their human forms and turn back either in their cub form to cry and be depressed or in adult form to wreak havoc everywhere. They called this 'mania'.

Ageha felt that these were absurd, so he just skimmed this information up, then skipped to the next.

Because the fourth generation seems to be him. Fourth generation was like the epitome of these generations.

They looked like the first generation at first glance, but they were not. They didn't suffer from mania, moreover they could control the psychic energy on their own.

They were discovered 20 years ago. After the fourth generation, they haven't found any other, that's why the information stopped there.

Especially, fourth generation have this so called power core or something. Ageha likes to read Chinese webnovel as well, so he easily understand what it means, but didn't want to accept it. Anyway, this power core is the source of psychic energy in the body, which first generation lacks.

It didn't end there. Because there is still the guardian beast.

The name sounded like a name someone with eight grade syndrome will come up with, but that's how they were called. And Ageha could only complain inside and endure it.

For some reason, the fourth generation could only manifest their psychic energy in the form of an animal. Additionally, these animals seem to have a mind of their own. A separate consciousness and personality different from the host body.

It was intriguing. It was such a mysterious phenomenon that no one could explain, and they could only blame it on evolution.

But Ageha wasn't happy. He found this information on the net, and he didn't get an answer to his questions. Actually, Ageha felt it was even worse.

It was all caused, of course, by Emperor Augustus. Ageha didn't actually mind being an evolutionary human, until he found out that fourth generations each have their own guardian beast.

Yup, guardian beast. Looking at the flipping wings of Emperor Augustus, Ageha wanted to scream.

He doesn't want to be imprisoned and experimented like a guinea pig. Although Ageha didn't mind having his freedom flying away, Ageha also didn't want to work. More especially, Ageha hated pain the most.

Imagining himself laying in that cold silver surgical table every day, Ageha couldn't help but shivered instinctively just thinking about it. He didn't mind being thrown into a little black room, he even thinks it's exciting, but not in this way.

Ageha used his free time since he found out that he is an evolutionary human to look into different kinds of guardian beast listed since the fourth generation was discovered. And from top to bottom of the list available on the net, Ageha never found even one insect-type guardian beast.

He tried to post on the forum, asking why there is no insect type guardian beast, but he was just rebutted intensely and was bombarded by curses saying he shouldn't talk nonsense since there was no such thing.

He didn't know why though. Ageha, this little bookworm was scared away by these fierce keyboard warriors. He was just curious, okay!

These evolutionary humans have so many secrets that Ageha really doesn't want to associate himself with them. He was a pure, innocent and naive young man. How could he group himself with those arrogant young masters? He didn't want to!

I posted a novel in Royal Road, about pandemic as well. But that one is pandemic in current time line.

And the same with this series, I use Philippines as a settings as well.

In my other novels, except for the novel about the cat and the depressed young master (ahh! I forgotten their title already!) I used fantasy world as a setting. That cat x young master series, everything happened in Canada.

I researched for maps, cities and countries close to Canada, and it made my head spin. So, why not used the country I'm familiar with.

There it is.

I know, many people were unfamiliar things found in the Philippines.

Enjoy my country fellow readers!

Just a sneak peak of who the FL is.

Spoiler

There's going to be a slight Adventure in this series because of FL. Well, she's a fugitive!

Currently running away from the authorities.

Hahaha...so, maybe I'll be able to roam around the Philippines in this series.
